I normally LOVE this place but I do NOT recommend during the pandemic. They are not following appropriate protocols. For example, the woman behind the counter licked her fingers in order to separate the plastic bags. I witnessed this more than once. She also wasn't wearing a mask and then put one on but wouldn't cover her nose. She kept removing it and putting it around her neck and then back on. She also handled money/cards/food without gloves. The other worker wore gloves, but didn't switch them between food and money. This was very upsetting and I wouldn't take any food from there. read more

Fast delivery . Sandwiches were good. The only thing I really had a problem with was I ordered coffee , asked for the cream & sugar on the side. There was a tad bit in the coffee none on the side. My husband and I have been driving past this place most weekends since we moved to the Hudson Valley. We always say we should try it and today we finally did! Sadly we were very disappointed. The service was pretty terrible. The food we had was ok... but the service and energy off the staff was so poor that we won't be returning. Even just a smile, some eye contact or a simple "hello" could have made a real difference but the few interactions we had with the staff were extremely brief and cold. read more

Bagels & Bites catered the brunch for the day after my wedding. Despite the number of guests ballooning to more than what we had originally discussed, Natasha was completely able to handle our large crowd (180 guests) and served a delicious spread of bagels, lox, muffins, etc. We did a bloody mary bar and she made a homemade bloody mary mix that was incredible. On the day of the wedding, she brought breakfast sandwiches and lunch wraps to the hungry bridal party. Everything on the menu is insanely good and Natasha is the easiest and most accommodating person to work with. We will be coming back to Bagels & Bites for breakfast and lunch whenever we are in the area! read more

UNPROFESSIONAL & UNSANITARY! This establishment is not the same since new ownership. This used to be my favorite place but now it's run by young and highly unprofessional staff. Not to mention the food is not the same quality. The blonde behind the register was EXTREMELY rude. I was given a total amount for my food and then charged a higher amount. I simply asked if they charge more to use a debit card and she so rudely told me there was a sign on the register. Yes there is however, it's a very small hand written note that was being covered by the receipt paper. Not visible at this point mind you. So I asked that they let customers know it's more or move the sign. The rude snarky comments continued to pour out of her mouth. It wasn't until I asked her for her name (not saying) that she changed her tune and asked if I wanted a refund for the difference. I'd also like to point out that the two women cooking in the back are NOT masked up and only wearing a protective glove on ONE hand. I watched them on the cell phone with the ungloved hand then proceeded to use the same hand to pick up the cheese and put it on someone bagel. Working with food they should know this is not sanitary. I am truly disgusted with this place and I will NEVER eat there again. read more

A nice, clean family business. Food is high quality, delicious and flavorful. They seem to have an Indian influence to the menu, although as far as I can tell they are not Indian. Can only speak to their bagels (and bagel sandwiches), which for the price, are the best in the area! I'd lived in the area for 10 years, driving by any number of times, before pulling over on a whim one day. So glad I did. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I normally am accustomed to NYC bagels which give you a lot of cream cheese. They only put a small amount on one side and then stick the plain half to it. Honestly theres not enough cream cheese for one side. The bagels are pretty good and I love their bacon egg and cheese. I would come back for their breakfast sandwich. Additionally they advertise iced coffee on the door and have never had it on either of my visits. Overall a decent place, especially because theres not many bagel places in the area. read more

A few weeks ago while having lunch here, there was a mistake with my order that could have happened anywhere. The women behind the counter went above and beyond to make sure all was well, and insisted that lunch was on the house. I would return regardless because I love the bagels here. My wife and I had Bagels & Bites cater the brunch after our wedding in Indian Ridge in Highland last weekend and the entire experience was incredible, from beginning to end. Natasha is warm, friendly, and helpful, and it was a delight working with her. She even brought us wraps and bagels the morning of our wedding day, which was a huge help. The food at our brunch was all delicious - we're still getting comments from friends and family about how good the food was. Everything was amazing. Self proclaimed bagel snob here, saying these are far and away the best bagels you are going to get north of Brooklyn. Living in New Paltz, my friends and I have long been hung-over looking for a decent breakfast and end up suffering through any bready circular O shaped hockey-puck upstate NY could offer us. (Don't get me wrong, I love NP and all its fine eateries but you can't find a decent bagel here.) I've driven past Bagels and Bites a bunch of times and never thought to stop. Yesterday morning I was driving past with a friend and decided to give it a go. I walked in the door and my jaw hit the floor. First impression, the place is spotless, looks brand new, I'd eat off any surface in that place. Also kind of charming, not super cute, but has a warm welcoming feel. The small business energy is flowing, and you can tell the owner really gives a sh*t about customers, without being over bearing. The menu was everything an american eatery should have, it was original, full of a variety of real and wholesome foods, and looked delicious. A quinoa potato veggie burger described on the chalkboard wall made me wonder why I had ever suffered through any other kind. All the best dinner or bagel food you might want, and then some. The coffee is good too! I ended up leaving with two sandwiches, a turkery avocado bacon on a chiabatta and a potato lentil and sausage breakfast sandwich on a bagel. The turkey was amazingly good, thick cut looked like it came right off a thanksgiving bird, and really juicy without being greasy, perfectly ripe avocado, and perfectly cooked bacon. The potato lentil, seemed like a somosa filling, put most indian places I've been to shame, ingeniously paired with a sausage patty on a bagel, was so good, and sat great in my stomach, one of those things that you eat and dont feel shitty afterwards. Anyways this is getting really long, but I feel like this place deserves it, I've never gone out of my way to come online and write someone a review, but I hate to think people will keep driving by this place without giving it a chance and not knowing there are great bagels in Ulster! My only question left is,,, wtf are you all doing in highland. No offense, but y'all should be in walking distance of more people! Oh but the prices were great! 4 bucks for these sandwiches! Are you joking?! - i thought, very very pleased, worth the gas. also - a note to the owner if you read this, I'm a guy with hormone condition, its a common mistake, but you kept calling me and my friend "ladies", it was very friendly, but in the future try not to assume peoples genders! its better for business and most people I know don't love the super gendered language anyways, just a suggestion for the future, I'd love to keep coming back, but it has to be a comfortable space for non-normative folk too :) read more
