I don't normally write reviews but I feel like I had to b/c I'm Asian and there's a one-star review here with a pretty heavy and baseless accusation... The service I got was fantastic. I had a leather jacket with a massive rip on the side. It wasn't exactly on the seam, so I didn't even know if it was still salvageable. The lady at the front inspected it for a few minutes and then said to take it to the man working in the back (apologies for not picking up names). Once he took a look, his response was pretty straightforward: "Give me $20, come back later". For the damage that that jacket had, that was more than a fair price. And they told me the price beforehand - if I didn't agree with it, I could've just left. I came back in two hours and he absolutely followed through. Couldn't even tell there was a rip to begin with. I also wouldn't expect a same day turnaround every time (I think I just caught them on a slower day) but I was so impressed with that. Quick, easy, quality, totally fine with Asians. Come here if your clothes need fixing. read more

Had to fix a hem on a single pant leg on two pairs of pants. Got charged $20 for it. Overcharged me, assuming because they can tell I'm not originally from Flatbush. As an Asian-American, I'm assuming they would do the same to other Asians. Beware! read more

I've never been to a tailor before and I went here based on other reviews and I must say that I am blown away! Not only were they super friendly but they were so knowledgeable (helped me decide what would be best when altering my dress) and very quick! Took it in on a Saturday, on a holiday weekend nonetheless, and it was done by Monday. Also very affordable! Would recommend to anyone no matter how big or small the tailoring needs! read more

Bah Thierno is the BEST! I've come here a number of times to get alterations on dresses, rompers, and jumpsuits. He always does an awesome job, is very quick, and his prices are pretty inexpensive. I was particularly blown away one evening when I needed an alteration in a pinch and it was already near closing time. I asked if there was any way he could make the alteration tonight or early tomorrow and he said he'd try his best. Was looking for a cheap and efficient tailor in my friend's neighborhood, knowing that I easily could repair my two items (just some holes in a flannel and a paper of jeans, but I don't have a sewing machine with me on this trip). Saw the good reviews and the "$" rating on Yelp, and went on in! They were able to fix the items while I waited, and at a very reasonable rate. They seemed to be busy with a lot of jobs and yet were friendly and warm. Had to get a quick job done. Had to get my dress hemmed. Tried the dress on. He helped to decide how and where I wanted it gemmed. He told me to come back in a hour. In a hour, I was back. He gave me the dress to try on and it was perfect. No complaints and very reasonable prices!!!! read more

I came here to alter my wedding dress, my fiancé's tuxedo and one of his suits. Rufus personally took care of our items and was done in two days! The prices are beyond affordable and Rufus is beyond talented. His work is incredible. The entrance is confusing at first because there's a competitor right next door. This place rocks. If you need a tailor in the area, especially if you're on a budget, you should come here (all the tailors are incredible btw). I came in and needed 2 zippers replaced (at $10 a pop) and one dress let out (total of $30). For the dress I had to go next door to the Singer store and choose a fabric that would match the dress, and he put that on the sides of the dress. It looks mad classy. For the work, amount of time, and energy these fabulous folks do here, I recommend this place without any reservation. I love Bah Thierno! I live in the neighborhood, and the work the tailors here do is top notch and very cheap. Once, I got a dress altered here (it was an easy job) for $5 and it was perfect. Plus, they did it right in front of me while I waited for 5 minutes. They are super quick, convenient, and cheap. Hemming and quick alterations are only $5. I've been looking for a good place for alterations in my neighborhood and had one bad experience somewhere else. Bah is great - professional, well lit, and better yet: great work, reasonably priced ($5 to hem pants) and fast turnaround. They don't open until 10am but stay open until 8pm.
