Thursday night 1/29/26, I visited Bahama Bucks when my favorite, Sno cone place was closed. I ordered a small cherry snow cone with cream, lime, and coconut syrup. Instead, I received coconut shavings and BARLEY any cherry flavor. I politely asked for a remake, I even tried to say maybe it was my fault but then I saw the employee who had taken my order make a rude face about it, which was so upsetting. It was rude and felt dismissive. I ended up asking for a refund. I hope they can improve their customer service and coach the 3 employees disc it, as this could have been handled with more empathy. I've had this flavor combo elsewhere and loved it, but this experience left me disappointed. And I would never leave a bad review but acting like that over some ice and flavored syrup is wild. read more

Went plant shopping for some greenery in our home this past weekend and holy smokes is Dallas already starting to get super hot! We wanted something to cool us down after running errands so my husband suggested Bahama Buck's. I've driven passed this place so many times while living here in Dallas and finally went in to try if for the first time. They have an extensive menu with more snow cone flavors you could imagine! The shop was packed when we arrived but the line moved quickly. I tried a mango/pineapple snow cone and will confess it was way sweeter than I'm used to. Overall it was a great experience. Been in here a few times and it's always great. Today Kiley helped me out and there seemed to be a problem with one of the machines. They got it sorted and got my my son super quick. You can tell the put a lot of work into the decor and presentation here. Texas heat makes this place a hot commodity so traffic here , I can imagine, can pick up a bit. Not too busy on a Sunday evening so I didn't have to wait long. There was a diverse menu with things like shaved ice, smoothie and refreshers, it made it a tough task to choose . I chose the mangonada shaved ice and the cherry lime squeeze . The Mangonada was a perfect twist of sweet and spicy. The cherry lime refresher was really good too. Customer service was an A+. Awesome concept and super friendly staff. Had to go in because my kid saw the promotional sonic straws & upon his excitement for them, one of the workers talked to them like a friend. He's normally super shy so that interaction and the employee (didn't catch name) meant the world to us. Been here twice in the last week to try the natural mango and guava flavors available. Both times I recieved a shave ice that tasted of coconut and chemicals. Told the staff of my experience and advised to check their bottles. Don't know if it's an issue with lables or bottle cleaning, but either way there's no third chance from me. I used to live in Waxahachie and my family and I would always go to the Waxahachie location for a sweet treat during the summer. I live in Dallas now, and my boyfriend and I visited this location in July 2022. It was a hot day in Texas (of course), and I REALLY wanted a snow cone. We drove a bit out of our way to get to this Bahama Buck's. This location was PACKED. The line inside the store was very long, and there were so many people that we barely had anywhere to stand. We luckily found a table to sit at, and our order didn't take nearly as long as we expected it to. Despite having so many customers and orders to make at once, the workers were friendly and made sure our orders were made properly. It could have been very easy to get overwhelmed that day, but the workers remained resilient and patient with everyone. Bahama Buck's ALWAYS does a great job. They load the snow cones up with syrup, which I am always grateful for. I've never gotten a bite that wasn't full of flavor. I always ask for they to add extra cream to my snow cone, as well, and they've never charged me for it. The Tropical Blue Coconut is my go to, but be aware that your tongue will be blue for a day or so... haha! The Kokomoko is fun to say and is packed full of sugar. It's very chocolatey, but it's always blended very well. read more

I will no longer subject my tongue to roadside shaved ice stands but will hold out for the powdered ice of Bahama Bucks. Flavors range from super sweet to super sour and everything in between, not including all the topping options (also ranging from sweet gummy bears to salty/sour pickles 'picadilly style' ~ pleasantly surprised with that one). A much needed addition to the neighborhood in advance of the new attractions coming in. The kids are very happy about Bahama Buck's opening! The crew is still learning how to make everything on my 2 trips so it took a little longer, there was a bit of a learning curve and a few errors. On my first trip, I ordered a Lemon Limeade but the lemon was left out. They quickly offered to remake it, but I was in a hurry. It was actually very good. My second trip was just a simpler orange shaved ice and it was flawless until I devoured it. Maybe I'm a kid at heart, but I am right there with the youngsters as they laugh jump around and squeal as they eat their colorful handiworks of ice and sweeteners. Some of these treats are VERY colorful and HUGE! (or do we say YUGE these days? ) The air conditioned interior is very festive and will make you smile in anticipation of your frozen treat. A word of warning to the shy, when the large SUV loads of kids show up, be prepared for some kid generated noise of excitement! read more

The staff was so friendly and seemed to genuinely be enjoying their jobs. They were more than willing to answer all of our questions and seemed happy to do so. The menu is a little intimidating so I would definitely suggest coming inside versus the drive through if it's your first time or if you are an indecisive person, like me. The portion sizes are very generous. We also ordered a mini strawberry cheesecake sno cone with vanilla ice cream (not pictured). It was definitely my favorite. Despite ordering the smallest size, I still wasn't able to eat it all. The kids did a better job finished their orders (pictured) and were very satisfied. I never leave reviews but this is the 3rd time me and my friends have come to this location. Everytime I have asked for a flat top and have not gotten one. The bottom half consistently has little to no syrup. The employees need to be retrained on the basics. I have never had these problems at the rockwall and forney locations. read more

I highly recommend the black cherry flavored ice. It makes the ice so tasty but the bottom of cup is all juice. The portion size is pretty impressive too I'm sure two people can easily share a large. I went there in the middle of the day and there was no one else there. There were two little girls (probably around 9 and 12 years old) and the older of the two came and took my order. It was very charming and kind of cute and she was very nice and polite to me. The younger one called in a young guy (around 20ish id guess) and he helped the older girl make my order. I stayed in the store to eat the top of the shaved ice so that I wouldn't spill any in my car. While there an older lady ( I assume the owner) came in was doing something and one of the girls laughed at something and the older lady turned and YELLED at her. Saying something like "ITS NOT FUNNY AND YOU NEED TO BE MORE PROFESSIONAL!!" I was shocked and If those little girls weren't there I'd probably cuss her out because of how mad that made me. I didn't find her laughing a problem but the way that woman yelled at her WAS UNPROFESSIONAL and right in front of a customer none the less. I feel bad for those kids too because one of them is helping them out and the woman wanted to act like that I can only assume she treats them like that a lot. I wish I had photos to prove how beautiful the shaved ice is here, but we attack them as quickly as we receive them. We have been here two days in a row as Texas weather has finally gotten a little warmer. The service amongst the whole is welcoming and very helpful. The staff still wears masks too. And although the spot can get busy, there's still plenty of seating. We got the Blue Coconut snow cone yesterday and it comes with cream! So good. Today we got the Birthday Cake snow cone and added gummy bears, it also comes with cream, I couldn't believe how perfect it was. Not overwhelmingly sweet on either of them.
