One of my favorite ice cream spots in Dallas! The workers are always so nice, offering to sample as many flavors as I would like. It is also such a cute spot off a lively street. I have been to Jeni's a few times and I'm never disappointed. I really appreciate that they let you try samples so you are sure you like what you get. I tried a few things and the staff was so patient but finally decided on the lemon bar and the brambleberry crisp. It was so tasty, light, and perfect for the summer. They even give you a little waffle cone taste even when you get a cup. It was a very nice touch. Now I will say the ice cream is a little pricey but it is good. The decor is cute and they have a little patio that allows you to eat your treat before you get back out to the stores and shops. I look forward to going back and trying new flavors. read more

One thing I love about Jeni's is they have certain flavors you can always go and have and there are seasonal flavors you love and sadly they are gone. However they are always nice about letting you try the flavors before you commit to them (cause some things sound great but don't taste so great and others that you wouldn't have gotten are your new favorite). As we all know parking is a beast in the area but just think of it as a reward for walking there and then burning it off while walking back to your car. We went in at around 8pm on a Thursday night and had a perfect window where we were one of two groups in there. The place always smells amazing, like a wonderful waft of vanilla and sugar. I will say that the only thing, for me, that could bring this review down would be that it's a small space and tends to feel crammed when it gets crowded. However, that was not my experience this time and thus I do not feel the need to knock off any stars because of it. When it's your turn to order and pick your flavors, one of the employees takes their time to get you any samples you wish to try. Today, the employee was super kind in letting me try multiple while also giving me recommendations as well as telling me everything in each sample I tried. I love that I don't feel rushed to choose nor do I feel guilty for trying a few different flavors. I decided to only get a standard which comes with two scoops and I absolutely loved the little waffle cone chip that comes with it. I chose my favorites, peanut butter and coffee, but they have rotating flavors which is nice and everything is very unique. For my two scoops, it came to just over $7. I can't eat too much sweet food in one sitting so the two scoops, albeit a little small, were perfect to where I didn't feel sickly afterwards. read more

You get to enjoy the tasty crispiness of a cone, while not making a mess, because you got a cup. We ended up getting the following flavors: - Gooey Butter cake: simply delicious. Highly recommend. - Brambleberry crisp: second favorite flavor. This was a good mix of fruity and creamy. - Ice cream cone: Just nope. I love sorbets, but this was not it. It's weird we liked the sample, but not the actual serving. The only thing I'd say the restaurant could improve would be to add some seating inside. Even if you got a week night or weekend night, there is always a long line and people of going there. They are quick and they easy people and they do have great choice for your dietary restrictions. Good ice cream! I got the standard ($7) with the Brambleberry Crisp and Wildberry Lavender. The bramble berry was good with the vanilla mix in and the lavender one tasted like soap. I love lavender, but the flavor here was slightly off. Service was quick, but the girl was a little rude. May have been because a group of loud adults that came after us. A delightful evening treat! The lady helping us at Jeni's was truly splendid! She was kind, helpful and patient as we tried different flavors as it was our first time. We ended up going with three flavors - the blueberry Johnny cakes, brambleberry crisp, and brown butter almond brittle. My favorite of the three was the blueberry Johnny cakes, it was delightful, perfectly sweet without being too sweet, and had a nice salty contrast. The other two trailed closely behind. There were new flavors being advertised which I sampled-nebula berry, cosmic bloom, purple star born and super moon. I was shocked to discover that I enjoyed all of the flavors but my absolute favorite was cosmic moon and the. Nebula berry. I ordered those 2 along with brambleberry crispin a waffle bowl and enjoyed all of the flavors! I'm still thinking of the flavors and have found that a grocery store near me may have the flavors ( fingers crossed) and will definitely be purchasing. They explained the set up and options and even told us about some kid options. My six year old then proceeded to try almost all the flavors! Love ice cream shops that let you try before you buy. Reminds me of Italian gelato spots! One small nice touch was the metal tasting spoons (at least I think they were metal!). Super cool and environmentally friendly. The cups they serve in are also super sturdy so you don't have to worry about them getting soggy. They also have a cool mini sticker station for the kids which they loved. The Deep Ellum one is perfect if you're already down there, but I find parking in LG slightly better. Jenis gets very creative on their flavors. We tried a lot of the holiday specials because WHO CAN RESIST, REALLY!? My boyfriend was obsessed with the Boozy Eggnog and their customer favorite, Gooey Butter Cake. I tried quite a lot . I ended up going with the Pistachio Macaron and the White Chocolate Peppermint. Oh my goooooooooodness, they were delightful. The Cranberry Crumble was really yummy and interesting--it was very tart with pops of sweetness. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was what you can expect with the name, but the spiciness was a little less tasty than I thought it'd be. The Pumpkin Cake Roll was for a very specific palate. Not mine :/. It's not your typical chocolate or vanilla single scoop kind of place. The staff was super friendly and I was greeted immediately upon opening the door this charming ice cream store. I was thrilled that this location opened as it is much more convenient than either the Deep Ellum or the Addison locations. I have bought their ice cream at Whole Foods in the last but this was my first experience with their store since I couldn't find parking last time I went to the Deep Ellum location and that was frustrating. Anyway, the staff offered tastings of the ice cream and gave recommendations, too. I chose the trio so that I could try three different flavors. I picked the Gooey Butter Cake, which was amazing. The description of cream cheese ice cream with vanilla cake and caramel-butterscotch sauce is all you need to hear in order to want to order. It is their most popular and easiest to see why! A+++ I also tried the 3rd top flavor of Brambleberry Crisp but preferred the seasonal flavor of Wildberry Lavender that had sweet orange and lavender.
