SLOWEST SERVICE EVER! I love this place but, god forbid, if there are 2 or 3 people already in line, it's gonna be 30 minutes by the time you get your ice in a cup. Everyone is always friendly and I like the business, but whoever owns it is doing everything they can to make sure the service is as slow as possible. Please hire more kids so it takes less than 30 minutes for a simple snow cone. I've seen people just get out of line in the drive through and thats when there's only 4-5 cars which = 35 min wait. it's just ridiculous. I've been living in Tucson since October 2019 when I got transferred out here from California I was sad because I taught Bahama bucks was a Cali thing lol. I love it so much I come here a lot and have even converted my husband from being an Eegge's lover to a Bahama Rama Lover as I like to say it. If you love Margaritas they you should do what I do. Since your allowed to mix 2 flavors I always get a Margarita mixed with another flavor. Yes I've had strange mixes before but most of them are AMAZING and I've had almost every single flavor mixed with Margarita. Wanna add a kick to it add sour sand. To me it's not sour I love the taste it gives me. Also it's 100% Alcohol free so if your trying to get pregnant like me or are pregnant don't worry about. So many flavors and different things to add to your drink but aside from getting samples of the flavors the staff seem unwilling to really help you figure out what type of drink you may like. I really LOVE Bahama Bucks, but the last two times I went to this location, my drink tasted dirty. Maybe it was the ice? Maybe the water to make the ice? Maybe the flavoring? The staff was incredibly sweet, and the shaved ice was even better! I had the Blue coconut and Toasted coconut. My boyfriend had Tigers Blood. We recommend the flavors we tried. We love this place and go quite frequently, I gave them some time to work out so kinks before reviewing but after all the time the staff is still really underperforming. At any given time there's 8-10 people behind the counter and most of them are doing nothing. They are just standing in circles talking. I don't mind a long wait when a place is busy, everyone has to wait in line that's understandable - but this is different. The staff is cesly young and just lack any kind of training or direction, which is why the same person takes your order and makes your come while the others stand around. If nothing else I would like to tell management they could decrease the staff by half and it wouldn't take any more time, you've only got a couple solid workers in there anyway. I thought to myself "You can't go wrong with Bahama Bucks" before walking in and after I left I said "How did they get it so wrong?" First of all, the place is run by high schoolers who are all sitting around not doing much and only one person seems to actually be making the shaved ice. I ordered my usual which is super sour watermelon with tropic cream (this is a dairy free whip topping). My usual bahama bucks gives me layers of cream between the ice but this one only added a drizzle on the top and for that extra $0.50 I better be getting more since now I am paying$3- $4 for ice and syrup. Another blunder they made was adding way too much syrup. The sour watermelon flavor was overwhelmingly sweet and it was more sugar water than anything since the ice was chunky and melty at the same time. Clearly the high school kid was not trained well enough to make the shaved ice. I even got up and asked for an extra cup of unflavored shaved ice to dilute it and I noticed the same chunky consistency with the new ice as well as a strange smell and taste. My friend had a similar experience with his mango shaved ice. After a while, we gave up because we could not continue to torture ourselves. I hope that they get better and meet the standards of the ones in Phoenix, but for now I will be getting my shaved ice from the location I have frequented in the past. read more

But the employees are slow to even recognize that you're in the building, seem very confused as to what they should be doing. No manager was visible and I doubt one was even working. The wait time was way too long given that we were literally the only people in the place (also surprised by that since Dallas locations are always packed). I am so excited Tucson finally has a shaved ice stand. There are over 50 different flavors and what I love is the cute tropical umbrellas they add to your shaved ice. The prices are very reasonable and there are large portions. My fave flavor I have tried is jungle punch! The employees are very friendly and bring out your shaved ice if you are sitting on the little patio area. Disappointed. I love Bahama Bucks, I've been going there for years up in the Mesa Valley and have never had. A bad experience. I was excited to hear they opened one up near my work, but received a hard shaved ice, dripping, messy, and they didn't even add any cream even though I asked for extra. Very disappointed. I'd actually rather drive up to Phoenix than go to the one here in Tucson, the quality is very poor and inconsistent than what I would normally get any where else.
