    Delicious baking!
    Debbie R.

I visited this cafe a couple months ago and met Ali, the owner who was so friendly and kind. His cafe was so clean and warm and welcoming and the food items looked delicious!!! He let me try a coconut treat he sells. I saw many people coming and buying them. It was delicious. His coffee was good too- not too strong but not too weak. Just right for me! Very smooth too. I highly recommend stopping here next time you're in the area.

Not much seats to dine-in. You have to get one of three seats to use a laptop. Food was o.k.

A cute cafe perfect for a quick pit stop. Good and fast service. Pastries look delicious. They even gave us a little chewy coconut treat to go with our coffee! Prices are a bit high but this is Vancouver after all. Coffee is smooth and tastes like quality.

Our favorite coffee spot in Vancouver! We were visiting from out of town and after our first visit to Bahar Bakery and Cafe, we knew we'd be coming back every day. The staff is so friendly and welcoming--it felt like a little home away from home. The coffee is amazing, the baked goods are fresh and delicious, and the portions are super generous. We tried a few other spots during our stay, but honestly, nothing compared. Bahar is the one!

Bahar is such a welcoming place! It's totally family-run and they're very sweet people. They have a range of baked goods and sandwiches as well as coffee and tea to accompany. The selection varies daily. Some of the baked goods are traditional Persian, some are not, but everything has that homemade feel; I always feel great like when I eat here, like I've eaten something very wholesome even after eating the desserts, which are never too sweet. The sandwiches are super simple but kind of charming in the simplicity, and the ingredients are fresh. The coffee and tea are also good. I like their steeped tea and flat white. The prices are very reasonable for downtown. They're pretty popular and the shop is a little small, but I usually manage to find a seat.

Five stars all around for this cosy coffee place in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Food: 5/5 - we had a muffin and brioche which were delicious. They also offer freshly baked treats, sandwiches and desserts. They offer takeouts. Ambiance: 5/5 - nice vibe to the place with limited seating. I could sit here all day as you're surrounded by the scents of baked goods and coffee! Service: 5/5 - excellent and friendly service

Warm and cozy aesthetic cafe with unique desserts and drink combinations. One of the best London fogs I've had and devoured the honey cake. Staff was so kind as well!

The drinks including matcha and coffee are solid, and the staff are friendly and happy to explain the menu if you're not familiar with some of the items. It's a chill place to grab a treat, sit with a coffee, or pick up something unique. Middle Eastern and Persian-style baked goods. The place feels warm and welcoming as soon as you walk in, and everything smells amazing. The inside is decorated very nicely!

Let me say that I don't like Baghlava and avoid it at any Persian event I'm at, but I liked theirs. So, that says a lot. The energy, vibe and feel of this cute little Persian Cafe is exactly what Robson Street needed. The warm smiles and welcoming demeanor by the staff is hard to beat, and the fact that they brew their teas confirms their attitude and commitment to quality and appreciation of business. I loved their Barbari bread and I think I already mentioned how I felt about their Baghlava, and their tea having been freshly brewed was a delight. You "Bahar Cafe" are a bright light that shines on Robson Street. Keep Shining.

Nice coffee and bakery option on Robson Street in the heart of downtown Vancouver! I'm glad they changed their hours to open earlier on the weekend, as we were staying at the nearby Hilton and were looking for something other than the typical chain coffeehouses. My wife had their egg, avocado, and tomato sandwich which she thought was a perfect protein alternative to sausage sandwiches nearby. Their pistachio roll was also a winner. As for coffee, their Americano was good but their mocha needed a tad more chocolate flavor. Our entire order came out quickly with big smiles by all their staff, so we will definitely be back on our next visit to try more of their pastries.

As soon as you walk through the doors of this family run business, you're greeted with smiles, warmth, and wonderful smells of the fresh baked goods. We watched the staff preparing homemade items with love and dedication to their craft. We ordered coffees and croissants and everything was great. Based on the hundreds of positive google reviews and multiple yelps reviews, you can see why this is a good local 5 star spot to grab a quick snack and drink.

We came on a weekday night so we were seated right away. Took away a star since it took a while to order and get our food, even more the family that came after got their food before us even when they ordered after! Forgiven since they were there for their child's birthday! Food is honestly top notch, it doesn't leave you with that over salted and MSG bloated feeling after most regular Donair spots. Will definitely mark this down as my future go to spot for "quick" and good Persian food! Also super cool to see the chef bbq your food through a see through window!

Instead of eating at the restaurant, we opted for take outs and did it picnic style so that my little rascal can enjoy the food as well. I see the same staff member everytime I go and she's very friendly. I was drawn to their hot food counter, particularly the delicious looking potatoes yelling at my name, again. I'm a huge fan of Middle Eastern style potatoes and Sahel's version is great. They were cooked to perfection and smelled fragrant. I was worried that the kebabs and lamb would be too hard for my daughter but she munched right through! I love the interior as it feels relaxing. You can also tell that the owner spent effort with the interior decoration. The color scheme is appealing as is their usage of live plants. This is my second review of the restaurant and I still give them 5 stars. I've had a pleasant experience every time I visit Sahel~!

**Will not honour valid gift cards**…read more Have been a customer for many years. Recently, found some gift cards I purchased awhile back and went with my boyfriend for lunch at the Cazba Davie location to redeem the gift cards on December 29, 2025. Long story short, they refused to honour the gift cards because they "changed their computer system" and said the gift cards therefore expire and cannot be used. I told them that the terms and conditions of the gift card literally states to use the gift card like "cash" and according to BC laws that gift cards are not allowed to be expired unless in very specific circumstances, which does not include a system change. Eventually, their general manager, Mr. Behruz Sigari, spoke to me on the phone and promised that he would call Moneris to find out my gift card balance and then contact me with a resolution soon. I left with his email (b.sigari@gmail.com) and emailed him twice but he has never replied. Clearly, they are willing to engaged in unethical and illegal business practices stealing funds from customers even when educated about gift card laws. I have since reported them to Consumer Protection BC and will never be a customer of their's for their lies and horrible treatment. Lesson learned: always use your gift cards as soon as you can.

Insanely tasty happy hour!…read more We were staying across the street at The Sandman and wandered into The Cazba for an early dinner. It turned out to be the meal of the trip. We started with Kashke Bademjan - an insanely delicious eggplant dip served with Barbari (a leavened flatbread) and Shashlik (mini lamb chops), and followed by Mini Loghmeh (minced beef/lamb kebab). We also had Koobideh wraps (kebabs, onions, & spices in lavash wraps) which we took back to the room b/c there was so much food! Many "yummy noises" were made during this meal! Truely a culinary delight. Service was friendly and attentive.

We were greeted with a warm embrace and a comforting welcome drink of chai tea paired with delicious finger foods. The Dine-Out menu was impressively extensive. While we initially struggled to choose just one salad, one soup, one cold mezze, and three mains, we were thrilled to learn it functioned like a Mediterranean All You Can Eat--allowing us to order more dishes as we went. We felt like kids in a candy store, eager to explore the vibrant, exotic flavours. The mango-infused dishes were a standout! The service was impeccable. One server even followed us outside just to hand us cardamom cookies for the road. Many restaurants treat Dine Out as a budget-set menu, but East is East used it to truly showcase their best work. We left with new favorites and a plan to return very soon.
