I was told, after I sent them this picture of the broken bridge in pieces, that the lab can repair it, repair?? And also they said it was three years old. Although it wasn't yet three years old I guess they don't expect dentures to last more than three years. It would cost me anywhere from $900 to $1700. 00. I also had the top two teeth separate from the base. The office told me it would coat $175. Per tooth plus the cost of the visit. I would expect the dental practice would stand by the patient and make the lab accountable. And no, I was told, I cannot see Dr. Dorciak. I can come to the office for a fitting. I refuse to give Dr. Dorciak's practice another penny and many more months of my time to have the bridge repaired. I went to another practice. Within two weeks and two trips my bottom bridge was made. They fit perfectly. I went one time had the impression taken and one time to pick the bridge up. The dentist, Jessica Endaya, told me I have severe periodontal disease. My dentist back home never raised any concerns about my gum health. They tried to upsell me. Then ended up billing my insurance for services not rendered. During my visit, I clearly informed both the dentist and the office manager that I only wanted a standard cleaning. The office manager assured me they would cover any overage if I proceeded. However, I later discovered that the provider submitted a claim to Florida Blue, billing for scaling and root planing with local anesthesia--a far more invasive and expensive procedure that was not performed. The billing was not only inaccurate but may rise to the level of insurance fraud.

Because it's "Thank You Thursday" on YELP and I had some major work done today by Dr. Dave, who is my regular dentist and has been taking good care of me for more than a decade, at beyond reasonable prices as I don't have insurance or much money for the type of work I need. His awesome assistant, Janet was on a well-deserved vacation, so I had the pleasure of Dr. Steve's wonderful assistant, Maria, who without knowing it helped to ease the pain of a rather complicated procedure by distracting my nerves, like stepping on my toe but without the pain Thanks, Tracy for always getting back to me promptly, managing to schedule me in, and putting up with my PITA whining at checkout I'm so fortunate to have gotten my place there and Dr. David keeping me as a patient. Dr Castellano said it's not needed for my particular situation. He took the time to explain things and truly made me feel conformable about issues I have with my teeth. The office staff told me that they took our insurance and then after the appt it was determined that they did not. After a call to the corporate office, my bill was handled correctly. Embarrassing watching them fumble for tools. So disorganized, HOWEVER, I scheduled a follow up cleaning the next week. Boy, that a tragic mistake. Set my appt for 3:30pm (so difficult for me to get time off to visit them, but they were down the street and in network, so scheduled). Walk in at 3;30pm (greeted by the sweetest receptionist) and then sat in the waiting room and twenty minutes after my appt time, ushered back into the x-ray room. Should have walked out at that point, as the radiologist tech seemed like this was her first day. Actually messed up some of my x-rays, causing additional radiation to be shot into my head because she messed up. She also kept trying to push teeth whitening with trays or bleaching. Of course, at a substantial cost. Declined, next. Finally got into the chair and the dentist came out to do a comprehensive exam on me. Of course, found problems that he had solutions for with a "treatment plan", which basically is paperwork with prices on them. Told him to hold off for now as I just needed to absorb the prices of the crown for last week. Next came Oscar, the hygienist. Told him I was there for a cleaning. Pokes and prods in my mouth, then disappears and comes back with a sheet of paper, again, for my "treatment plan". AT $750!!. Dude, I'm here for my cleaning, which should be paid by my insurance. "Well, I don't know how much your insurance will pay for this". I feel you probably should know how much my insurance is paying towards this. You asked me for my dental insurance cars at the intake. Why don't you know??? He also kept referring to the fact is was after 5:00pm and I was lucky he was still there? Ended up removing my bib and walking out. What a complete insult to me and a complete waste of two hours of my time. Office is in a min-mall next to a Harbor Freight and looks like it hasn't had any type of remodel in the last 10 years. Ceiling tiles loose and coming apart. Smell of desperation throughout the office. Avoid this office like the Black Plague or the Spanish Flu.
