    Wine bar!
    John M.

This review is only based on service! I really had high hopes for this winery. We arrived on a Saturday about 11am on Octoberfest weekend. It was fairly crowded already but we were able to find space at the bar. We noticed there was only 1 bartender and after a while she came over and told us she was not doing any tastings because she was too busy since she was the only server. That was disappointing since we saw other people doing wine tastings. We knew it would take a while to even get a glass of wine or any food. As we were leaving it was getting super crowded. Why not be fully staffed on an event weekend? We hope to give them another try as their location is beautiful, overlooking the rolling hills of New Glarus.

Total hidden gem in the New Glarus area! This is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. It truly felt like I was on a vacation. There was live music out back on a Friday night. The views are absolutely stunning. I am giving one star down because I was a bit confused on where to place orders for food and drinks, and where to get them once they're ready.

Unable to do a tasting at this beautiful venue because they only had one bartender. Sad

How have I not reviewed Bailey's Run yet? I love this place! Okay, they do have the new Whiskey Run, which is another reason why this place is awesome. You can get great wine and whiskey, along with local craft beer and handmade craft cocktails; so why aren't you there right now?! :-) I live in DC and see my husband's family in this area each summer. I always make a point to visit Bailey's....they had me at naming a vineyard after your dog. I love my dogs and try to take them on as many trips with us as possible. I also love wine and whiskey...this is clearly my kind of place. Look, I lived in northern California circa early 2000s and I came to like robust red wines. I understand, not everyone likes that end of the wine spectrum and that is great because Bailey's has a wine variety for almost any palette. White, red, blush, dry or juicy... they have you covered. Oh, and they have a whole line of bubbles, so mimosa folks, comeon over! If wine is not your thing, they have local craft brews and walk down the hallway to the huge whiskey and restaurant space. Get a craft cocktail. You won't be disappointed. Definitely get some food too. The pizzas are my favorite, but there is a great menu for the winery and even larger menu for the restaurant inside Whiskey Run. Service is always impeccable and live music Fridays through Sundays...at least during the summer. Come out and enjoy some great food and drinks with a vineyard backdrop and fun vibe. Thanks!

I came here after visiting New Glarus with my mother. She is more of a wine drinker than a beer drinker, so this seemed like a perfect fit. I have really missed the farm-type wineries and breweries so common out east and was really excited to try Bailey's Run! Overall, it did not disappoint. I had my two dogs with me, who were allowed on the outside patio but not allowed inside. The weather was nice and we found a nice spot with a great view (thanks to some of the shade it provided, otherwise it might be a bit warm out in the yard itself). Thankfully I had my mother with me so we could order inside while someone stayed with the dogs. Doesn't seem like a place I could venture to on my own with the pups after a hike, but I definitely would like to visit many more times in the future... I'll just make sure to bring a second human. We ordered one of the flatbreads, and it was DELICIOUS. We were supposed to go to dinner not super long after we visited, but even so couldn't resist finishing the entire flatbread (a great serving size for two people... maybe one if you're really hungry). It had been so hot and sunny out during the day, a cold wine slushie sounded so perfect. Unfortunately, it was so sweet and sugary it was a bit of a challenge to get through. Both my mother and I agreed that if it hadn't been so sweet, we would probably have stayed and ordered a second one. If I visit again I'll probably have to stick with one of the wines (which I'll be excited to try!). Either way, I definitely plan to visit again. Even if you're not a huge wine person, the setting and ambience is 1000% worth it.

I love Bailey's Run. Spent a perfect fall Friday night on the patio listening to live music and playing cribbage. They have a good selection of wines, not overwhelming but plenty of options. My only wish would be that they did flights. My friend and I split the pesto pizza. It was delicious and brought right to us on the patio! I loved that there was no feeling of rushing here and the staff were all cool and knowledgeable.

After hiking at the nearby state park we headed over to Bailey's for some wine and music on a very pleasant Sunday afternoon. Given it was pretty warm out we were glad for the cloud cover and breeze or it would have been too hot to sit out there for long. We arrived about 45 minutes before the music was to start so we were able to get decent parking and a good place on the lawn. By the time we left two hours later the lower parking area was jammed. The music was good and the wine OK but the view and the whole ambiance was the winner. We did not order food but it looked like pizza was the main attraction. The staff was friendly and for the most part looked prepared for the good size crowd. We will definitely return when the weather is nice.

Went to the winery and had a glass of a dry white--Bailey White--and some flat bread pizzas. Then went over to the distillery side and had truffle fries, wings, and cheese curds. Definitely like the food and the vibe over on that side better. I had a non-alcoholic cocktail which was tasty. Service was good. Would go back!

Such a quiet hidden gem jut outside of New Glarus! Definitely stop here for your next wine tasting and afternoon off! You can get a tasting of 6 wines for $8-12 depending if you add sparkling wines. Cute place! This has quickly become my favorite winery!

I went here to check out the views and try their wood-oven pizza. Both exceeded my expectations! The place is surprisingly huge inside and out, with tables galore. My husband and I consider ourselves staunch pizza critics, and were both very impressed by Bailey's Run pizza. It was just the right thinness, crispy, toasty, just the right amount of fresh toppings, in other words "perfect." I really can't suggest any improvements at all. Great job Bailey's Run!! Another plus to Bailey's Run is that dogs are allowed. FUN!!

Gorgeous view. Splendid wine and amazing food!! Five stars!!! The staff was exceptionally helpful and informative.

I've never eaten any of the food there but it always looks delicious! The vibe inside is really nice and the space is really clean. For seating, you can sit downstairs, in the upstairs loft, or outside on their spacious patio. All options are great but I definitely prefer the patio in the summer! The service is always wonderful as well! The workers are knowledgeable and really friendly. Last time I was there, I met the owners, Mike and Kari. They were really friendly and told my husband and I the story of how Red & White began. They were lovely! My husband and I are already regulars so we'll continue to go back. I definitely recommend it to others. Check it out and enjoy! :)

Everything about the evening was exceptional. The first course was bruschetta, followed by a refreshing fresh salad with lemon dressing. The main course was flank steak, cooked perfectly. This was followed by a cheese board with delectable cheese samples from local dairies. For dessert, they had an absolutely amazing home made vanilla ice cream. It was rich, creamy, and very tasty. We enjoyed it so much, that we immediately reserved a second dinner which had cider braised pork shoulder as the entree. Again, the meal was exceptional. It started with prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe. I've never had prosciutto sliced so thinly, it was tender and flavorful. This was followed by a butternut squash soup that was thick and rich. I didn't know butternut squash could be so flavorful. I cleaned my bowl so thoroughly that the host jokingly asked if they forgot to serve me. The pork was next. Served with honey crisp apples. It was tender and perfectly juicy. Again, a cheese board was served before dessert. All very tasty local cheeses. For dessert, a French apple tart. I could have eaten a whole tray, it was so good. I've now been there over 20 times. Every time has been exceptional. They offer a variety of wines, ciders, and local beer to go with your meal. They also make their own vermouth which is sweet, with a hint of clove. It's so good, in fact, that we like it on the rocks. Not mixed. The host, Mary Ann, is wonderful. She takes time before each course to provide background on the home grown or locally sourced ingredients. She also gives a history of the farm and her family and, if the season permits, offers a tour of their farm. Marc (Mary Ann's Husband) is the chef. He is a culinary wizard. As I mentioned, I've been back over 20 times, which equates to almost 80 different dishes. All of them amazing! My only criticism (it's a minor one) is that the room is small and cozy and it can get a bit loud inside. It depends on the crowd, but it can be a bit hard to carry a conversation. In summary: exceptional food and exceptional people. I could not recommend it more. Update (12/13/24): We've been coming back to Campo di Bella for the last 5 years. At least 60 times or more and we've never been disappointed. Marc and Mary Ann are incredible hosts that continue to create amazing meals and experiences.
