    Filling the syrup tins

PHENOMENAL Syrup and the tour was awesome! Our tour guide Jacob was outstanding! He made it fun learning about how Organic Maple Syrup is made and we walked to a maple tree to see how the process works and then went to the processing room. We saw the process from start to finish. We then went to the tasing room at the end of the tour. We sampled 7 or 8 different varieties. Very smooth syrup. DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. Beautiful drive out to the Farm as well. The fall leaves were changing colors.

Had an amazing experience at Baird Farm! The family is so nice. Absolutely loved the maple syrup tasting and learning more about the process. A perfect Vermont activity! Happy to come home with lots of goodies.

Ever since 2022 we found this hidden gem of a farm its not only the products but the history behind it all Jenna and Jacob are just soo fun to be around and extremely genuine. Meeting people that are so happy with what they do and also spreading their knowledge is just sooo awesome. We go every year to purchase their amazing maple syrup and products. Every single year is just a MUST. If you are in Vermont DEFINITELY LOOK THEM UP AND GO AND VISIT. !!!! Cant wait for next year!!!

So happy we included this stop on our itinerary!! We spent 3 weeks traveling New England and Jacob and Jenna made the most memorable impression on us. They were so sweet, so helpful and so passionate about what they do. Please stop by and support this family! Photos taken on their beautiful farm.

Lots of options for Baird Farm Maple Syrup!

VERY COOL OPPORTUNITY TO TOUR A MAPLE SYRUP FARM!! So Vermont isn't just home to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Vermont is actually the highest producing U.S. state of Maple Syrup. So us being completely naive of what it takes to bring that to our table to douse our waffles with it, we decided to look into opportunities to gain more insight into its production since we were venturing into the state. A few farms are accessible to the public but due to COVID-19, commercial factory and farm tours in Vermont have been suspended. Sabotage! A little more research, though and lo and behold! Baird Farm to the rescue!!! (Cue superhero music!) They offer Private tours by appointment, of their maple syrup production. YES! And for free! Oh SNAP! Winner, WINNER!! Ms. Jenna was our contact person over the phone to set things up, and she made it completely drama free, very pleasant to chat with. She greeted us once we arrived, but it was Mr. Jacob that dropped da knowledge on us (BOOM!) as he guided us through the production process. 50 points for Jacob! On the Baird Farm, they gatz HELLA trees! Approximately 14, 000 sugar maple trees on 500+ acres. We only saw a smidgen of those, which my son was grateful for! ( Lots of hikes prior, he was hoping for easy stroll on today's visit lol). Different ages of sugar maples are all over the place. Found out you can only tap a maple after it exceeds 11-12 inches DBH (Diameter at Breast Height). Harvest is from winter to early spring so we missed out (Doh!) on actually watching trees being actively tapped or us having a hands on experience at tapping. As maple sap is 98% water, we got to learn about the evaporation process as well. Apparently a productive season is 1/2 gallon of syrup per tree. See that?!? Knowledge Drop! We finished the tour in their farm store, and sampled a bunch of syrup flavors. Yum! Taste test! Most of us were of the "dark" persuasion, and myself, VERY DARK STRONG! (Would be better if I had a fresh waffle to pour it on... just sayin'. lol) That Mint flavored Syrup tho... Nom Nom! We all proceeded to buy a few items and some merch, even snapped some pics with Mr. Jacob & the fam, then our tour was done! A solid 1.5 hours of definite quality time! Thanks Baird Family! EASY RECOMMENDATION! Mr. Jacob was a perfect host... entertaining, accommodating, & VERY informative. Answered all our questions without any hint of irritation. Quite the pleasant chap, indeed! Excellent knowledge drop experience. FYI... they offer shipping for all the items they sell in their store. Good thing cuz we had limited travel space from rockin' only carry-ons for our flight. BAIRD FARM MAPLE SYRUP FOR LIFE!!! ;)

Where the magic happens! Turning sap into syrup.

We visited Baird Farm during the Maple Open House Weekend and had a great time! I've lived in Vermont for 35+ years and decided it was finally time to learn how one of Vermont's top products is made. We enjoyed the tour; Jacob was informative and engaging. The rosemary waffles, a Maple Open House Weekend special, were delicious. At their store, not only do they have maple syrup but they also have other delicious products.

We tried guessing the weight of this giant pumpkin/squash?

A few of our friends and I took a trip to Baird Farm and many said it was the highlight of their trip! Super wholesome but also every educational. It is a short walk to see the maple trees, all the while Jacob is just spitting out amazing fun facts about Maple trees. The entire tour was GREAT, and at the end you get to taste different syrups and explore their great gift shop. A truly unique experience!!

The goods. I'm especially excited about the mint-infused maple syrup and the maple ketchup!

I had an omelet off of the Specials menu with Pineapple, ham and mozzarella...Basically a Hawaiian Pizza but in an omelet. Very good, if you like Hawaiian Pizza. The home fries didn't have much color to them but we're actually cooked through and tasted good With a nice texture. The only draw back was our server, while efficient, had like in the way of people skills. Every interaction was as short as possible. Not bad, just not good. We finally decided to try out S&S and I found it good, but not worth the 5 stars everyone gives it pancakes = well cooked, round, pretty standard. don't get 4 pancakes unless you want be in a pancake induced coma. also, they put a literal small ice cream scoop size of butter on the pancakes. Only IHOP does that and it's way too much butter. If you are eating all of that butter, you might need an extra dose of lipitor. Toast = kind of boring S&S pancakes = kind of tasted like pancakes with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Home fries = those were good I was there with two 16-year olds who both thought the food was "mid". I did see a small girl sitting with plate in front of her that had a waffle with ice cream and whipped cream piled so high, that it was almost as tall as her. Her eyes were huge and she was trying to figure out where to start. That waffle looked pretty good and as I passed the table, her dad was leaning in to "help out and keep the plate clean". They sell a lot of baseball hats and t-shirts.

They taught me all about the health benefits of maple syrup and I learned so many valuable lessons that day as I was riding back in the tow truck 3 1/2 hours back to Southern New Hampshire. I was telling everyone that I know about this generous and kind woman who owns this company who I'll never forget. I hope that this review is read by everyone who comes to this page.
