I have been to this cute little mexican spot twice, once for dinner and cocktails and once for breakfast and java......It is so yummy and the staff is so friendly! If you just want java you can go in there and order from their full coffee bar menu* I am allergic to cheese so I asked the waitress if I could have a guacamole and mashed potato enhciliada and she made it happen. They have a great little bar in the back room if you want to go and have a sangria and some chips! Great addition to Beacon Hill! read more

I stopped for a bite here while waiting for some car service being done next door. I was really impressed. Don't look like much from the outside, but this place is delish. Great coffee, which surprised me in a Mexican food joint. There are what appears to be real Mexican mom's in the kitchen. I'd say the food is made with love because they look like they're at home in their own kitchen, laughing and talking while they cook. The dude at the counter who also brought me my food and coffee was super friendly and genuinly nice. And the food was delicious! Flavorful, authentic and a good sized poriton although I didn't have left overs. I'd like to go some time when I'm not getting my car serviced because the trip will be cheaper :) read more

We came here a couple of times during out stay for the happy hour special. $5 margaritas' between 3 -7. They are good. I like them made with fresh lime so much more but these were good. They give you chips and salsa too if you'd like. The salsa was kinda watery and spicy. It's got a outdoor seating. The servers were both nice and attentive. The food smelled good and the dishes also looked good when I saw them being delivered to others. read more

Happy Hour, happy hour, happy hour. They bring back the reason why happy hour is happy: strong drinks. They're margaritas are bomb, I usually like them blended but for this place I'll have it on the rocks. They also have amazing pollo en mole and the torta is great if you're trying to eat light. I've been going here for five years now & the good quality has deteriorated over the years - the salsa is heavily watered down & tastes awful & they reheat a lot of food and then serve it so it looks like dishes are several days old. Based on only one meal- and I'm from Texas so have high standards of Mexican food. I felt like the coffee was lacking punch but the service and atmosphere were excellent. The chilaquiles was not the same chilaquiles I've been served near the border- the corn tortillas were soggy and it was heavy on the tomato sauce- reminding me more of lasagna than chilaquiles! But it was surprisingly still good and it hit the spot after spending 4 days camping in Rainier. I would go back for sure, but maybe I'd order something else. read more

I came to visit my sister in Seattle. She lives near this restaurant. We had an appetizer and a few beers and immediately came back the next day because it was so delicious! The appetizer was green chilies in a cream sauce. Great flavors and super amazing, friendly service. This is a family run establishment. We've been going there on pretty much a weekly basis after church, and i have yet to try anything aside from the chorizo tacos because they're so good. My nieces and nephew always get the diner breakfast and my husband always gets the breakfast burrito. We have yet to change it up because we all like our choices so much! The service is great too - always really nice and on top of it. The only drawback would be the pretentious customers who seem to frequent the few beacon hill establishments that we have. read more

I've been coming here since they named it Baja Bistro. Over the years the food has declined a little bit to mediocre. BUT, I love the staff and that bar is just so friendly and those margaritas are the perfect combo of sweet and sour and fumey. Came here a few days ago with a few friends and I have to say I was impressed! I ordered the steak tacos that also came with rice and beans and it was very good! The owner was at the bar with his friends drinking while people were having dinner at tables when he started yelling at the female bartender "go to hell" among other nasty things. I didn't realize that it was the owner until one of my friends that frequents the restaurant told me. I spoke out and told them that they were in public and it was not appropriate how he was speaking to her and he started yelling at me and my friends telling us that if we didn't like it to get the hell out of his restaurant. He finally left and the bartender came over and was extremely apologetic. I don't recommend a restaurant where the owner has no respect for his customers or staff. read more

Amazing little spot. Boyfriend and I went there on this past Sunday. He had been here before and kept raving about it. So, we went. The staff was wonderful and courteous. My coworker and I have recently been going to baja a couple times a week. If I were on Beacon Hill more often, I'd probably find myself there every day. This is because the staff is amazing and sweet and the food is great! Plus I love their cocktails! The chicken nachos are a must especially if you can't decide on what fantastic entree they have to offer.
