I enjoyed my Baja steak burrito. I enjoyed my mango salsa and chips. I enjoyed my guacamole and chips. I enjoyed the chip and salsa. Best salsa bar ever. The chips were fresh... light, warm, and crispy. So good... I enjoyed the warm churro. Come here for the chips and salsa and guacamole. I like the manager dude, he's friendly and emphasize customer service. But most importantly, I enjoyed the food! A lot! Enjoy!

This is a very well run Baja Fresh the investor/owner who runs the restaurant is an old school Baja Fresh operator along with Round Table Pizza. The food quality was just as good as their original style dating back to 1990. This is not close to my home but if it was I would come at least once a week. Five stars !

    The burrito is all rice!

The food took forever it was $50 for a taco salad two tacos and a burrito when I asked for a bigger container to put a little bit of more salsa and they told me it would cost five dollars. I will never be back. Good luck going out of business.

I haven't been here for years and was a little Leary on whether they still maintained the quality and quantity from years past. This is my first time at this location and thought to give it a try. When I first arrived, I believe the manager greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming! I ordered the tostada salad with grilled steak and was surprised to see how much steak they gave you. I was also pleasantly surprised that the steak was very tender too! I only wish they gave you more tortilla chips since they offer such a nice variety of salsas too! So much food I couldn't even eat the tortilla shell ! I will definitely return here the next chance I get!!

Pico salsa from a bag or can!!!

The food was greasy and cheap! The pico salsa Tomatoes don't seam red they seam like it's from a bag! The chips are stale. Idk why they call it Baja Fresh! I thought it was Baja fish tacos but I was mistaken

5 Stars for the Golden State Chicken Burrito Ordered and dined from 12:40-1:00 , staff was friendly and hard-working. Thank you Johnathan and Patty for the pleasant experience, I will come here more often now (-:

Their shrimp chili lime salad is pretty hard to beat

I typically don't review franchised restaurant locations, but this one has a special place in my heart. The owner/manager here is super friendly, and always goes out of his way to be accommodating. He's also a pretty creative guy - he came up with the Baja BBQ chicken salad on his own - something the entire franchise had on their menu for a good while (they removed it because they're trying to go showcase the lower calorie salads now, and the shrimp chili lime salad was a better seller). That said, the service and food at this location are always top notch. I've been a frequent customer for over 6 years now and I've never once had a bad experience. 5 stars!

Too many mistakes, too often and their specials are not designed fairly. When they get it right the food is good.

Great little town to explore. This was our lunch spot. We had already walked for a couple hours. Avila's is a beautiful restaurant and fairly spacious. There is parking on both sides of the street among the shops on Avenida del mar. We were really thirsty and the busboy, Christian, got us 3 iced teas and chips like within 2 minutes. Super nice. Rafael was our waiter, and we ordered quickly. 1. Two taco combo platter, chicken and shredded beef. 2. Tacos and Caldo, my friend ordered with tacos. 3. Mama Avila's soup which came with chicken and lots of other things, and a tortilla. All 3 were delicious and filling. I always get a two taco combo plate since I love this meal, and to compare to other restaurants. This was great. The tacos perfect and flavorful. We will come back. Next time I will order the fajitas. I believe this is a chain with like 10 stores or so, so check to see if any are in your area. A very nice lunch with two fine lady friends as well. Thx Rafael for always checking on us and the iced teas to go.

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

I had the Pollo Tomatillo, which was absolutely delicious - tender, flavorful, and nicely balanced for such a simple recipe. My friend ordered the 2-taco combo plate, and it did not disappoint. The location is a bit wonky and the parking lot is tight, but once you're there, it's worth it. The patio is surprisingly comfortable, and inside is the most eclectic collection of tchotchkes you've ever seen - it's like dining inside a little museum or a shop on Calle 16 de Septiembre in Cabo. Even if you eat on the patio, be sure to go in and take a look around. Service was friendly and attentive, and our meals were complemented perfectly with ranch waters - tequila, mineral water, and fresh lime juice. Simple, crisp, and refreshing. It had all the right ingredients, but somehow none of the flavor. Everything tasted very bland and lacked the bold, authentic seasoning you'd expect from good Mexican food. To make matters worse, I became sick with diarrhea after eating there. I can't say with absolute certainty what caused it, but the timing was concerning enough that I felt it was worth mentioning. The best way I can describe the food is that it was missing its most important ingredient--love. It looked the part, but it just didn't have the heart or flavor to make me want to come back.

I see the ratings on this place and I wonder why? We ordered two steak plates; one Steak and eggs cooked rare and another steak and frites cooked medium. They were both terrible. Chewy and cooked wrong. The medium was cook rare and the rare one was goey. No flavor at all. I instantly regretted picking this location for brunch. I bagged up the steaks for my dog and headed out disappointed. For 62$ I wish I could say I was full and satisfied but I'm unfortunately not. Just lacking overall in taste. The breakfast potatoes tasted like free potatoes from a motel breakfast and the side salad with the steak frites just had a red vinaigrette dressing on Roman lettuce, no character at all. If you just want mimosas I guess this is a good place for that, they had a range in flavors from original orange juice to blueberry. But I recommend saving your money and cooking breakfast/lunch at home. The two stars are for the service! Food, no stars! 0 **They also have no ranch or A1 So I expected the steak to be on point.... We agreed to use the ATM in their restaurant in order to pay cash. The server overcharged us by $20.00 for fajitas by unilaterally deciding to charge us for the larger portion of fajitas, which we did not order. Due to the error, we had to use the ATM a second time (we were charged a 2.99 ATM fee each time). When we informed the server, the server was more concerned with justifying his actions than listening to the customer and making it right. He was also visibly put off by our constructive feedback - "do not give a customer a menu that prices fajitas at $29.99 if you are going to charge the customer $49.99 located on an alternate menu" We are locals and the experience with this server's failure to apologize and insistence on arguing with us has led to our decision to never return to Ricardo's. Instead, we recommend El Maguey, Bravos, El Campeon or EL Molino de Oro - all nearby.
