The best in OC! If you want fresh tacos for a couple of bucks and huge burritos and breakfast burritos this is your place. Pedro's reminds me of the earlier In n Out Burger establishments where you walk up and order and eat it on a bench or in your car. Simple, effective and delicious! Everyone knows Pedro's for their fresh food and happy employees. It's clean, too! Burritos average $5-$6 and are huge! Beautiful cuts of carne steak, chicken or their Egg and Steak burritos are large for our dollar. Fish tacos and fish burritos are also famous for being near the best you'll ever have. The boys from Camp Pendleton were not wrong.

The service was excellent. However, the tables outside were dirty. If they aren't going to wipe it down, they should have wipes or cleaning supplies. The shrimp burrito was not good. It had a few shrimp and was overpowered by sour cream. I would have gotten the surf and turf burrito instead. I got a side of refried beans, and they were not good. They had a sour flavor to them.

Best Bean and Cheese burrito. Back in my surf days we hit trails at dawn and after a nice session we hit Pedros on the way home. Solid, Simple and they have a drive thru. Don't over think it what they do is just good enough.

Potato taco... or supposed to be

This place used to be such an amazing hotspot for burritos and tacos in southern Orange County. But I just spent $23 on four soft potato tacos. Tortillas were completely raw and soaked in grease, potato was a hash-brown patty, and taco was overstuffed with cabbage to overcompensate. Least prideful Mexican food I've ever seen and they should be ashamed calling it such. Not to mention they have a sign saying homemade salsa and we were given HEINZ salsa packets. We should have gone to Taco Bell, it would have been cheaper, and BETTER! Which is saying something lol. Multiple people in these reviews seem to have a similar idea of this place. So fair warning before eating here.

Plain burrito

Most plain asada burrito I've ever had , it was a bunch of meat what seemed to be shredded and asada mixture , tomato and avocado on one side only ,small burrito as well , I asked for drink options guy replied " coke products " , I asked for sauce to go and it's Heinz packaged sauces like an AM PM ??? It was disappointing

Pedro's tacos is just SO good!!!!!!! I am a huge fan of burritos and every time that I have gone to Pedro's they have not disappointed. There are many important factors when it comes to a delicious burrito and Pedro's hits all of them. First the tortillas are SO fresh and SO yum, the ingredients are full of flavor and all the right textures. YUM YUM YUM!!!! the chicken fajita burrito is absolutely fabulous, the shrimp burrito is fresh and delicious, and lastly the bean rice and cheese is a classic that you can't go wrong with. I love Pedro's and the drive through is just the cherry on top

Good burritos last 20 years. But $14 for a burrito with potatoes and no bathrooms for the customers is ridiculous.

The steak was tender and full of flavor, and the bowl featured a great combination of fresh ingredients. I also tried the Mexican Candy cocktail, perfectly blending sweet, spicy, and refreshing flavors. The vibe was lively, the restaurant was spotless, and the staff were friendly and quick. It's an excellent choice for lunch or dinner with family and friends. I can't wait to explore more of their menu on my next visit!

This review for Asada is long overdue. I really love their food and cocktails here (especially the…read moreMexican Candy!) and while I've had some things that weren't my favorite, everything I've tried has been delicious. One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Also, wow, San Clemente runs on a different clock. I don't know if it's just the beach or what, but service was so slow in that specific "I'm out of my tax bracket" kind of way. CHIPS WITH SALSA & FRIJOLES: 5/5. Generally not a frijoles person, but this one was good. BIRRIA TACOS: 5/5. Flavor was good, smoky. PORK BELLY: 3/5. Dry. Tortillas & sauces saved it. OCTOPUS: 1/5. This was definitely the culprit, as my partner and I shared every dish... except this one. I suspect it was the salad, since the octopus was fully cooked, and most food poisoning cases are from mishandled produce, which seems like a failure at a very basic level.

Great little town to explore. This was our lunch spot. We had already walked for a couple hours. Avila's is a beautiful restaurant and fairly spacious. There is parking on both sides of the street among the shops on Avenida del mar. We were really thirsty and the busboy, Christian, got us 3 iced teas and chips like within 2 minutes. Super nice. Rafael was our waiter, and we ordered quickly. 1. Two taco combo platter, chicken and shredded beef. 2. Tacos and Caldo, my friend ordered with tacos. 3. Mama Avila's soup which came with chicken and lots of other things, and a tortilla. All 3 were delicious and filling. I always get a two taco combo plate since I love this meal, and to compare to other restaurants. This was great. The tacos perfect and flavorful. We will come back. Next time I will order the fajitas. I believe this is a chain with like 10 stores or so, so check to see if any are in your area. A very nice lunch with two fine lady friends as well. Thx Rafael for always checking on us and the iced teas to go.

It's a cute little bistro in the industrial area of Saint Clemente around some other restaurants, including a Starbucks around the corner. Great amount of flavor. Didn't require any salsa or anything to help enhance it. Juicy and just well-made. Their chips were fresh out of the oven or at least tasted like it still warm. Very impressed. This little place. I'll definitely be coming back. Deserves five stars plus

Very slow for a not a busy night of just 2 tables including ours, but we were fine with it. One guy was working both the bar and serving all the tables. My family member left him a standard tip for standard service (15 percent and he is of the older generation and from a different country with different tipping culture), and doesn't even know the new tipping customs of the younger people of 18 to 20 percent. Ten minutes after we left, when we were going to the game room, the waiter approached our group and made a big embarrassing scene in the lobby, demanding to know what was wrong with his service, asking why the tip wasn't 18 to 20 percent like the receipt indicated, and saying things like "I just want to know." He was very aggressive, very confrontational and highly unprofessional. And he handled the situation loudly, publicly, and unprofessionally and scared our children with his rude, aggressive way of speaking. If management wants to speak to him, he had dark brown hair shaved underneath and longer on top, brown eyes, and had a safety pin styled earring in his ear. He was fine during the dinner and we didn't observe any rude behavior and left happy and impressed with the restaurant but aggressively chasing older guests down in front of family, young kids, and other hotel patrons is beyond inappropriate and should be looked into by management.
