If you want good tex-mex in Owasso, Baja Jacks is the place to go. Their stand-out feature is the BYOB, where you can assemble whatever dish you'd like (I recommend putting shrimp and crab into the mix)! Salsa Bar has a wide variety of salsas and other dips to choose from, with the House Specialty salsa being the star of the show. Never had a problem with their food, or their staff. If I had to nitpick, the Salsa Bar can be a bit messy at times, and the containers at the Salsa Bar aren't always as clean as they could be. However, the food and service is so good that I still believe a 5-star rank is deserved. I'll keep coming back! read more

This is a great place for lunch. I'm a vegetarian so I build my own burrito in a lettuce bowl. They have a self-serve sauce and salsa bar. Their tomatotillo & cilantro lime sauces are yummy. Baja Jack's is a "just" a strip mall burrito joint, but it's actually pretty amazing. It's definitely not the standard - they really raise the bar with SO many options for entrees and for toppings, it honestly puts the major burrito chains to shame! Also, prices are VERY affordable. Most menu items are $6 and under. This is a fabulous place for anyone who is limiting certain things in their diet. The BYOB (Build Your Own Burrito) can be customized about a million different ways including lettuce wrap, several meats or seafood options, etc. I opted for the combo nachos and it was delicious. I was super hungry and still didn't finish it all! I was really impressed by the huge variety of options at Baja Jack's and wish we had one a little closer to Joplin, MO! read more

Create your own burrito is awesome. Priced competitively with other restaurants in the area. You get a very good sized burrito. I'm a grown man and sometimes take half of mine home for tomorrow's lunch. It is usually very crowed when I go. I would give the burrito alone 5 stars! On top of that the Monday night crew was super friendly and helpful. I walked in on a rainy Monday night at 9:04 (they close at 9 on Mondays) and asked if I could still get a burrito. A friendly cashier welcomed me and recommended the BYOB. The cook had already cleaned the grill but made my burrito with a smile and said it was no problem at all. The rest of the guys were happy to help me select my salsa and tell me what they liked most and explained the ingredients. When we moved to Owasso I was worries I would miss my beloved, weekly trip to Chipotle but Baja Jack's certainly makes up for it! They have a similar style build your own burrito like Chipotle as well as tacos, quesadillas, and more. My favorites have become their quesadillas and their baja fish tacos. I would also recommend getting queso. If you don't want to pay for queso, they have an array of different salsas that are delicious to go along with your free basket of chips. I only have a few cons for this review; none of which would stop me from visiting again and again. I think their service staff can be a little young and unprofessional at times. They also seem to run out of ice in their drink machine every single time we visit. Overall a really great place for a fast cheap mexican food experience. Give it a try! read more

Baja Jacks is kinda like a Chipotle mixed with a fast food taco shop. There are more options than Chipotle, but you can also go for the Build Your Own whatever that gives it that Chipotle like feel. (Okay, I'll stop saying Chipotle. Last time. I swear.) Every time my family and I are in the Owasso area, this is the only place I really consider going to. I have loved everything I've gotten here, and we've come multiple times. It's usually pretty crowded around lunch time, even on week days, so be warned! But we've never not been able to find seating. After ordering, you get free chips to go along with their amazing salsa bar. They have a mango salsa that's on point, and all of the other salsas are pretty delish too. You really can't go wrong with any of them. I've tried multiple food options here, and I love that they have plenty of veg-friendly choices! The last time I went, I actually added some fish to my BYOB, and it was great. They also have the cotija cheese, which is so yum. The BYOB offers lots of choices, as well, not just a burrito or bowl. My only complaint is that sometimes the bowls are a little smaller than I expect them to be, for the price, but some of the other options seem to be larger in portion size. I also wish this place was nation wide!!! Come to San Antonio! Overall, great choice for lunch or dinner if you're in Owasso. read more

On May 17th my spouse went to Baja Jacks in Owasso to pick up an order to bring home. We live out between Mannford and Prattville so he asked to have our order of 5 fish tacos deconstructed. He brought everything in and as we opened it there was NO battered, fried, and served in corn tortillas with shredded cabbage, Holy Guacamole!, pico de gallo and no creamy lime sauce! There was only some thin, really thin, small tortillas and really really small and very thin slices of bare fish, not enough to cover 5 tacos,. It covered 3 tacos max and that was still not allowing enough. We ended up having to drive back to town to find something else to eat. I wish I would have taken a pic but we were so upset that I didn't even think about it but we did call management (Jessie - male)and they said they would credit our account and no charge but when I checked our bank account it is still showing a charge. He said he was sending us a comp as well. It arrived today but it was for one entree not to exceed $7.75. read more

Honestly the Build Your Own is Unbelievably Amazing. The term, Good Enough to Smack Your Momma is Dead On Target. If you like everything and the Kitchen Sink you can load it up The Burrito as big as a 6" Subway Sandwich including The Bread for like $7-$8. You have 6 to 8 choices you can build from. Nachos, salad bowl loaded with anything and everything you can imagine, wheat burrito, flower type burrito, and I believe there are a few others. Then the House Salsa & the Fruit Salsa will make you feel like you Died & Went to Heaven. Never go to Applebee's next door, Learned My Lesson! read more

Food is always consistently good but the place is always filthy! Do you own a broom and dust pan? Clean up a little. If the dining room is bad I can only guess what the kitchen looks like. I was expecting a lot more out of this place. I think the highlight for me was that the queso was yummy and cheap! I came for lunch and was not really sure how the ordering process worked so I just ordered a burrito that they had on the preset menu (next time I will DEFINITELY make my own). The burrito was just not great. I had many bites that were legitimately only sour cream. Also the chorizo was runny and messy. One of my coworkers got a breakfast-type burrito and it looked great. I really want to give this place another try to see it making my own burrito might be a better option. A+ for cheap/good queso though! read more
