This place may be tough to pull in and out of but it's worth the effort! Clean establishment with fresh food served daily. My go to is the bean and rice bowl - minus the rice with all of the fixings. Usually I get the steak, but today I went with the chicken. It was delicious but I do prefer the steak. The people behind the line are fast and skilled at making burritos! I can't believe how much they can fit in a wrap! This is my go to for a quick lunch that isn't fast food. The bowl serving is enough to have twice! Happy to see Bajas has moved in the location where Cilantro operated. Well renovated. The restaurant is very clean, new floors, brighter lighting and new kitchen equipment. Sound system is excellent though the music was just a little loud for a Monday night. Same great food and value as the Thayer Street shop. read more

The restaurant was well lit,clean and spacious. The prices were comparable to local restaurants and the the food portions were decent. Some of the staff were rude/pushy. one server tried to push me along but no other customers were waiting. The parking can be tricky at this location so I would recommend visiting during non rush hour traffic. I would probably try them again, but I would definitely look at the menu in advance so I wasn't so rushed. read more

I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken. The place does look clean. The food looked appetizing, but honestly Chipotle is WAY BETTER!!!! I go here almost weekly. Best burrito place in Rhode Island. There pork is the most moist and flavorful pork I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The salsas are flavorful and spicy. The guacamole is always fresh and often has big chunks of whole avocados. Not to mention the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I finally decided to order Baja's through GrubHub as I was wanted to try their Mexican. I was VERY impressed with the meals. The nachos came in a tin FILLED with chips, chicken, cheese, sour cream, guac...whatever you selected as options. The three steak soft tacos were also FILLED with toppings, and they used two tortillas per taco so they wouldn't break apart. I was expecting a merely average meal and was pleasantly surprised. Baja's has amazing food however only when it's fresh. This location is not the place to eat food later in the day as it is not as busy as their Thayer St location. Due to the fact that they are not as busy the food stays out a while causing your burrito bowls to be dry, hard and cold. Choose the Thayer St location for fresh food consistently, management there must know how important it is to keep food fresh. read more

Went there last night. I was amazed at the extensive menu available. Everything from tacos to a full plate. Steak or chicken Philly to wet burritos. I had a combination plate with rice, beans,pork carnitas,chipotle chicken,pico di Gallo and fried veggies. Everything was hot and fresh. I washed it all down with a cold glass of Jamaica which I believe was Hibiscus tea but it was tasty. If you crave Tex-Mex, this is the place to be. read more

GREAT neighborhood place! First time trying it. Stopped in after work. Wasn't super hungry so I only ordered 2 tacos, not 3. Definitely glad I did because these tacos were loaded! I've been to restaurants where there's more taco than filling and these were overflowing. They were generous with the portions of each choice, including my friend's burrito (the picture doesn't do its size justice). Not sure if I just happened to stay within the allowed number of choices but it felt like I could've chosen one of everything and there are alot of choices. I also appreciated there was no upcharge in asking for guacamole as well as having shrimp as the protein. Know that if you want fish, there may be a slight wait. IMO I'd rather it be that way because you know it's fresh! Also, you have to order the 3 tacos in order to get the fish. Last, they warm the soft tacos (corn) which is way better and the flavors of everything was delicious and fresh tasting. Definitely going back! read more

If I could give thus place 0 stars I would. The customer service was despicable! My husband went in to order us food and no one would speak to him. Once they did they only spoke to him in Spanish and then laughed at him when he told them he didn't understand. They then proceeded to mess up our order and give us the wrong stuff. My wife and I tried Baja's last night and was very pleased with the entire visit. Difficult to get into the parking lot coming from Pawtucket but after I figured how to get there it was well worth it. The restaurant was immaculate and the staff was great as well. In short, the food was terrible and the staff was rude. The man at the counter was asking me something in Spanish and when I replied in English that I didn't understand what he was saying he continued to speak in Spanish and smirk at me when i continuously told him I didn't understand. The girl at the checkout was also very rude. Website is confusing and it is unclear which Baja restaurant you are calling because there are several in my area. There's a great variety of meats, toppings, and salsa's to choose from. we've tried everything from there quesadillas, nachos, burritos, tacos, and chimichangas. Everything is very good or excellent. Third time here. Food and portions are better than when they first opened. However, staff are not friendly or attentive. They are too quick to drop your food at the register and walk away, before asking if you want any toppings, salsa, etc. Also, be careful as they pile on the meat and then charge you extra. Twice now I have been charged additional for extra meat which I did not ask for. Not worth complaining, who feels like dealing with the staff. They really need to work on customer service. Only thing they are good at, is charging extra for things you don't want. Be sure to check your receipt. read more

I was ordering three different dishes and as soon as I finished with the 2nd he was already asking the next person in line what they wanted. I had to interrupt and speak over them to say I needed one more thing. One of my dishes was wrong. Ordered a burrito with spicy chicken and I received shrimp and reg. Grilled chicken. I went back to the counter to let them know and they all looked at eachother like a deer in headlights. Made me a new one and just handed it to me without saying sorry or anything at all really. Also, they really need to consider investing a little more and upgrading the plastic their utensils. They are so flimsy you cut anything with them.
