Went to this restaurant the other day to order seafood tacos. Tacos were amazing and very flavorful. Good portion and filling. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance and decor were traditional and very festive. Having complementary chips and salsa was a great addition. Will be back to others more off the menu. read more

Food was decent, but the customer service is honestly terrible. Easy 1/10. I'm literally sitting in the restaurant writing this review because the service has been that bad. My waiter acts like helping customers is a burden. Long waits, being rushed and zero communication make that make sense, empty drinks, and you have to chase someone down for basic things like forks!!! Disappointing. You don't have to be Mexican to tell the food here is not authentic, but I went to high school in Pawtucket and have plenty of experience eating at authentic places. Almost everything like flavor. The chicken that came with the fajitas traditional was tasteless and not tender. What was gross was the veggies for the fajitas were in an ocean of oil. It was nasty. The meat in the quesadillas was okay. I also didn't taste anything in the guacamole that was given with both dishes. Where are Bandidos should be ashamed is their advertise pricing. BEWARE, their prices online aren't even close to what you pay in the restaurant. The fajitas were $7 more and the quesadilla was $5 more! Like why are you being so sketchy, just update your menu. The best thing I had was the Negra Modelo beer and the unbelievable salsa that came with the free chips. Portions are generous and staff was very friendly. Almost everything is Americanized though. Consistently good - every single time. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Rhode Island for good reason. The chips are salsa are homemade and delicious! The service is always wonderful. The place is cozy and comfortable. Packaged well if you get takeout. Great spot for Mexican. My friend Heather lives in Lincoln and said this was her favorite spot for margaritas. A few friends ordered the chimichangas, one got steak fajitas, and I got Carne Asada. The food was all fresh and delicious. One of the standout factors of this restaurant is their salsa. I would give Bandidos a 3.5. We went on a Friday night and it was super busy but only had to wait 10 minutes to get a table which was great. The ambiance was lively and fun. The Celtics game was on so it was a fun vibe. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas and a mojito. Both were good. The veg was cooked well but had a bit too much salt for my liking. The service was fast and good too. My 3.5 rating is simple because the food was okay and not great. read more

It's a Mexican run Mexican restaurant where they are not totally good English speakers (a plus), they give you good and an unexpected large portion of food, and the service is quick and efficient. Their menu has a good list of options and the food is hot and good. I'll drive out of my way to get to their food. read more

I have been to this Bandidos twice in the past two months. The staff is very welcoming and the decor nice. Lots of Dia de los Muertos. There's a wood burning fireplace that gives a nice atmosphere. The menu has everything you can think of on it. Plus they'll make any changes you want and it comes out looking and tasting wonderful. The margaritas are amazing!! My only complaint is a small one. This restaurant has only been open a few months and their menus are all worn out like they came from somewhere else. They need replacing. Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

When it's good, it's excellent. But it's not often good. We've ordered for take out several times and not once has our order been correct. Items are missing (no tortillas to go with the fajitas. One order of guac instead of 2). Or you arrive when the food is supposed to be ready and you have to wait. And wait. Sometimes for food, sometimes for drinks. When ordering in the restaurant, the service has been mediocre at best, hostile at worst (a friend was told that his drink was "complicated" and had to wait quite a long time for it. He knew what he was ordering, was prepared to wait, but didn't expect the attitude or the exceptionally long wait). When mistakes are brought to the attention of managers, they are always apologetic and swear it won't happen again. But it always does. read more

This one hurts me to have to leave, but it has to be done... It takes a whole lot to really, truly gross me out. A speck of leftover food on a plate, fine. Replace the plate and move on. A hair in your food or on your plate, also fine. Ask for the food to be remade and carry on with your meal. But a rolled up piece of a clearly used BANDAID?! Absolutely have to dry the line there!! Never have I ever experienced such a grotesque event in my entire dining out life. I have eaten here once before this dreadful evening and absolutely loved the place; from the ambiance, to the service (and even tonight the senoritas there were absolutely wonderful!), to the food even - it's exactly why I wanted to return when my Mexican craving kicked in! My party of 4 decided to place the usual appetizer order of the taquitos (chicken). After chewing through my second piece, I noticed there was a "different" kind of texture I was noticing with my teeth. I decided to kind of chew through the food to isolate that piece to remove from my mouth to see what it was that I was struggling to chew through. To my complete and horrific surprise, it was a rolled up used piece of a skin-colored bandaid, which I have been told is completely against the DOH rules which require BLUE colored bandaids be worn should you have a laceration while in the restaurant industry. Aside from the fact that there was an incorrect bandaid piece in our food, it goes to show that no gloves were used by whomever prepared our food tonight. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! UNFORGIVABLE even! No significant action was taken when I called over the server to make her aware of what had occurred, other than a very disgusted look on her face, rightfully so! No manager ever presented themselves; they made the poor hostess come tell us that "we were not going to be charged for the food" and that "they were sorry" and received our liquor portion of the bill, which we rightfully paid and tipped on. That poor server, and poor hostess. Never got their names. Not their fault by any means; she still received a significant amount of a tip and some free advice on finding herself a new job at a much cleaner and sanitary restaurant! Needless to say we will never be returning again, and I will go to incredible lengths to make sure this gets reported to DOH and wherever else it needs to to make sure this place gets properly inspected before they serve any more contaminated food and traumatizing another innocent person who enjoys dining out from time to time (won't be dining out anywhere soon in general after this). Utterly disgusted and frustrated! Bandidos? More like BANDAIDOS - NOOOOO THANK YOU!!! Zero stars for zero sanitation, despite having to select a star in order to post this review. read more

If I could give zero stars for this restaurant, I would. First off, the chips were stale with a horrible old after taste and the salsa was watered down and flavorless. The house margarita was coyingly sweet and weak. The birra tacos were dry. The meat was tough and flavorless. The enchiladas locos was bland, and the sauce was watered down. The cucumber margaritas was decent. Never going back. Do not come here for authentic Mexican food. Go to central falls for real authentic Mexican food. This place is located in town and while the parking is limited to street parking, the food is great. They do have good portions and their service is excellent, especially for very busy nights. Their prices are a little steeper than other authentic, Mexican places in the area. Their drinks are excellent and they are definitely not cheap with the alcohol. read more

True Score: 3.25 Stars Expected more. Went with my wife for dinner on a week night. After reading the reviews the place sounded worth trying. We arrived and were seated right away. It took the waitress 15+ minutes to come over for the first time and take drinks and bring chips and salsa. The place only had maybe 5 tables of people so it wasn't super busy. We put the entire order in when she came as we didn't want to wait even longer. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. I order the pick three combo plate, the presentation looked good. The taste was good, nothing amazing or over the top great. The salsa was fresh and was good. We might go back and give it another try but I'm not sure with the food not wowing us. Dang this is some GOOD Mexican food! We've ordered take out and we've been in persons, and we're blown away - and honestly sad we didn't find this place sooner. I recommend: - Queso con carne, added beef and it was this glorious cheese dip that is to die for - Carne Asada, wow what flavorful meat! Not chewy, cooked perfectly. And comes with a huge tray of rice and beans and salad. Also their side of rice and beans is the BEST I've ever had. - Al Pastor tacos are wonderful as well! Huge tacos with flavorful meat. - Hawaiian steak fajitas is delicious and so much food. - Margaritas, these are INSANELY strong and also very cheap.
