Bake Café is a beautiful spot for breakfast, and they truly have some great pastries. The food itself is delicious, and their strawberry matcha is honestly really good. However, the customer service needs serious improvement. My husband and I went for breakfast and ordered a few items. He ordered before me, yet my food came out first. He had ordered a side of eggs with bacon and a side waffle. They brought the eggs and bacon, but the waffle never came out. We sat there waiting for about 30 minutes, and no one came to check on us or update us. Eventually, we just left without ever receiving the waffle. For a place that just opened--and one that has so much potential--I really hope they work on being more attentive and welcoming. When people order items together, it would be much better if everything could be served together rather than one by one or forgotten altogether. Based on this experience, I personally wouldn't go back. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service because the café itself is lovely. read more

I was so excited to see a new local coffee & pastry shop near our home! I'm so glad to have gone here & spent my money at this local shop instead of a Starbucks or 85 degrees bakery. I was greeted upon entering & the cashier was super kind, friendly, and patient. It was such a lovely calm environment. It's super clean & beautifully decorated. I could see this place as being somewhere I like to come & enjoy a delicious treat, pastry, and relax. My husband and I tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte iced & Mexican Sidecar iced to drink. We also bought an almond croissant & basque original cheesecake. Both drinks were absolutely delicious. I never order coffee from anywhere but I decided to give the Mexican sidebar a try after the cashier recommended it & described it as a horchata and coffee with an espresso shot. WOW! It did not let me down. It's the perfect balance of coffee, sweetness, and cinnamon. The matcha latte was also amazing. You can clearly taste the quality of ingredients The almond croissant was to die for: flakey, buttery, not too sweet. Definitely a favorite! Our friend told us about this location being open. Place is smaller than the other Take Ur Seat places, but it's clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. Limited places to seat to eat and drink. Parking is limited nearby. We were pleasantly surprised with the variety of pastries offered here. We bought the honey miso croissants and ube cheesecake. One bite into the croissants was heaven. It was toasted and you can definitely taste the sweetness of the honey, but I couldn't taste the miso. Nonetheless, it was very delicious, and hands down I would order this pastry again. As for the ube cheesecake, it was so decadent. The color and texture of the cheesecake was like eye candy. I truly love ube and this dessert didn't disappoint. I came here a few days ago and got chocolate chip cookies. The sea salt chocolate chip was amazing, I dreamt about it. The mini ones were extremely hard, I couldn't eat it and had to throw it away. I came back today and got 2 more of the sea salt chocolate chip cookies and they were old, hard and stale. I asked the cashier if they were baked today, he claims that they were. I know how to bake and never in my life has a cookie had a stale taste in less than 12 hours. It's was approximately 2:45pm when I came in and they opened at 7:30am. So they claim that their cookie became hard and stale after only 7 hours. That's impossible. The cashier didn't apologize or offer an exchange. He went to the back kitchen to talk to someone then came back and refunded my card. No manager came to talk to me, nor offer for other cookies that were baked fresh. They need to improve their customer service, accountability and customer retention. read more

Came here once For coffee and came back to try the food. We ordered two meals, one chicken bowl and one tofu bowl and the mushroom coffee and tea unsweetened. The tea ended up like liquid candy and when we asked for another we simply got a shrug and sorry that's our only tea. No offer of anything else. The flavor of both bowls was nice but the chicken was very fatty and gristly . Then there was a black hair on my napkin that was absolutely not ours. mushroom coffee good and bakery items sure look inviting but this experience was absolutely not. I was passing by this place for a little while now since I frequent this shopping plaza often. I decided to stop by for a latte and I am so glad I did, because this place is my new favorite little spot. I have now gotten the iced spanish latte twice which is just so good, I am not sure I'll ever be able to change up my order. In the area and needed to kill some time and stopped at this bakery realizing it was still in its soft opening. They had a cushion flavor pastries which intrigued us. I have to point out that the service is slow and the person running the counter/casher was so disorganized and not at all efficient. The rest of the staff could work on their customer service because no one took the initiative to engage us or people walking in as busy as it was. We ordered the honey miso croissant, longuista roll, ube toffee cookie, banana bread, ube cheesecake and the garlic cream cheese croissant. Didn't get the garlic pastry in the bag and they ran out of the honey miso croissant so we waited 10 to 15 minutes for it to be prepared. When they came out, they put some in the pastry case and we were standing there waiting for us to be acknowledged to find out what was going on with our order no one addressed us until we approached them and asked where our order was because that's the only thing we're waiting for and the person who is running the cashier said that oh they still have to get everything together and it didn't make sense to me because it should've been done all prior to the honey croissants wait time . So we must've been standing there for another 15 minutes just waiting and waiting for them to gather our order together to give to us. Efficiency was definitely not their strong point today BUT and that's a big BUT, I am gonna give them some time to work out the kinks since it was a soft opening because the pastries are THAT good. I came to TUS +Bake Cafe for their soft opening because I'm a huge fan of Take Ur Seat. I've gone to three different locations within one week lol. I like how each location has a slightly different menu but they all do brunch foods and cafe drinks exceptionally well! I ordered my go to iced Pandan latte and the taste is on par with their other locations. At this location, I also tried iced pandan jasmine milk tea and it had the flowery flavor of jasmine with pandan infused so this might be a new go to choice for me when I don't want coffee. I don't know if there is any other place locally that does pandan flavors like TUS. I also purchased the hojicha banana bread and mini chocolate chip cookies to share with others. They have a large selection of bakery items and small bites! Next time, I plan to try ube mochi waffles and specialty basque cheesecake! read more
