Stumbled upon this quaint little building driving to my hair cut on US1 in Fort Lauderdale. I usually try to pick up some lunch for the girls and had never noticed this spot. Yet to find out it's because they're brand, so with a quick glance at the menu, I unbiasedly ordered a couple items without a second thought. I was in and out in 10 minutes no problem. The California Egg Sandwich, fried egg with a soft yoke, avocado, bacon, tomato, cheese, and mixed greens on homemade Challah with balsamic reduction, ($8), and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, fresh baked focaccia filled with grilled chicken, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cheddar, with a homemade balsamic mayo spread, ($11). Both were dangerously delicious. Messy as hell, but finger licking good, literally. I also noticed they had a display counter of fresh baked donuts and pastries that had my mouth watering for something sweet, but unfortunately I resisted. I'll be back for them. I got my sandwiches to-go, so I couldn't tell you about service, but what I can tell you is that my sandwiches maintained through my travels, and the lady who took my order, packed it, and also checked me out, was very helpful and friendly. 4 stars out of 5 for The Bake Shack, and I will definitely be back! read more

We got there too late to try the donuts (completely sold out). The sandwiches we all ordered were delicious. I got the chicken sandwich on focaccia bread and it was delicious! My dad got the breakfast sandwich on donut bread. I tasted it and thought it was good but too rich for my tastes. My daughter got the waffle and it was very tasty as well. I will have to return at an earlier time to try their donuts. The place is very small, so plan on wait time. Worth it though! read more

Wow...I came across this place on accident really. It's easy to overlook but if you like pastries this is definitely worth stopping for. I actually had eggs bacon and pancakes, and at the end I got a chocolate bacon doughnut which made me feel like a real fat body but it was good. BakeShack is nice. The donuts are divine, to taste as well as to ogle. As with all great things, it has it's issues. The counter is slow but hey, if that's the cost of good food, I'll pay it. Unless I'm on my way to work and sadly, I'm on my way to work more than I'm heading anywhere else. If they keep on their upward tick, they'll hopefully expand. More space means more staff and more staff will hopefully translate to 7-10min stop on a weekday morning, instead of 17-20min. read more

After passing a rundown Chinese place for several years on my way to work, it was refreshing to see a nice, new place popping up along Federal Highway in Dania Beach. I waited in suspense to see what this spot was going to end up being until one day a sign was put up... a bakery/breakfast spot! YES! Then I see the Yelp reviews pouring in - awesome, awesome, awesome. Finally I get an opportunity to stop in with my Mom who I just picked up from the airport. We enter the cozy cafe and a wall of craft donuts are there to welcome us. I know immediately that I'll be stuffing some in my face. The folks behind the counter greet us with a smile and pick up on my glowing laser target vision locked in on those donuts. We opt to grab a few breakfast sandwiches - sausage, egg in cheese on DONUT BREAD. Ermagerd - Donut Bread exists? Well, know I know. Trying to be a bit more healthy, I grab the California sandwich which is poached eggs, arugula and avocado with tasty mayo. #foodporn. Simple, yet delish! I went back to the counter and grabbed an apple fritter which we inhaled within seconds. To finish off the visit, I pick out 6 donuts - carrot cake, tres leche, blueberry crumble, creme brulee, chocolate bacon... the tres leche was by far my favorite, but they were all very freaking good. I've been wanting to head out for breakfast and looked to find a really great spot. I stumbled upon the reviews for the Bake Shack and assumed it would be as good as the critiques. The doughnuts did not make me go nuts. They were bland in flavor and undercooked. I waited 20 min for a cup of coffee that I had to ask twice for, and the woman taking my order forgot to add my breakfast sandwich. I understand being busy but these mistakes could've been avoided. Our order arrived and I waited an extra 10 min for my California breakfast sandwich because it was forgotten. The cheese wasn't melted the bread was soggy and the bacon was still breathing. With so many other great breakfast spots there's no need to try this place. Save yourself some time and money and head somewhere else. read more

Have been here for breakfast several times and absolutely love it! The California breakfast sandwich is delicious and the macchiatos hit the spot every time. Parking is tight and there will probably be a little bit of a wait because it's a small space and always busy, but it's worth it. Such a charming breakfast spot! My husband and I visited this afternoon for a late breakfast and shared the "Shack Stack" - scrambled eggs, bacon and two large pancakes. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and sweet and were accompanied by a maple butter and thin maple syrup. It was everything we were hoping for when my husband woke up this morning saying "I am in the mood for some chocolate chip pancakes." We chatted for a while in the dining room about how the seating area could use some darker paint to invoke a warmer atmosphere but it is off to a great start. Tried the Bake Shack for the first time today after seeing someone post about it on Facebook. It was easy to find on Federal Highway. Small parking lot, but found a spot as someone was pulling out. Not a big place, but its cute. You walk in and see the donuts and other pastries. Order at the counter and grab a table or sit at the counter. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, with a side salad. The sandwich was good, not overly hot with the buffalo sauce, but you could tell it was buffalo flavor. The side salad was large and full of tomatoes and peppers. A good compliment to the sandwich. Had to try a donut, so for "dessert" we split a cookies and cream donut. It was really good, not to sweet. You could tell it was homemade. Overall, liked the Bake Shack. The cakes looked really good, and I want to try one on another visit. Wish I lived a bit closer, but 20 minute drive isn't all that bad. read more

The place was nice. Located right off of US1, it's really easy to get to. It is a small space with about 10 tables for two. The decor is newest (white walls), but comes off as homey and worn rather than dirty. I cane for brunch and got the Steak and Eggs and orange juice and I appreciated the fresh squeezed deliciousness. The steak was well cooked, served with onions, red peppers and mushrooms. My eggs perfectly runny. If you are a fan of american fare and flavors, you will definitely like this place. We also ordered a blueberry muffin and a banana cream donut. The sweets are by far my favorite part of my visit. The muffin had a crackly crust but the inside was unbelievable tender. The flavor was perfectly balanced. The donut was a little messy, as it was topped with marshmallow fluff. The donut itself, without the filling was still spectacular and flavorful. We were driving to the beach and we passed this place on the right, the parking lot was packed so we figured it had to be a good place for breakfast. So we had to make a proper u turn to go back and so happy one of us in the car had our food goggles on. I was very impressed with the donuts in the display, if one is to ever have a sweet tooth this place is heaven. I love when new places open in the neighborhood and this is def the type of new place I was hoping for! Its a cute little bake/breakfast/deli shop right off federal hwy. Very quaint and best of all - they have gourmet donuts!! This might be a blessing and a curse all in one but damn are those donuts good. I haven't tried all of them yet but I haven't had one I don't like. The maple bacon donut is my favorite so far. It sweet and salty - favorite combo. Its super casual, you order from the counter, take a table number and grab a seat and they'll bring your food out to you. Or you can order to go as well - whatever you fancy! My husband and I were here for a business trip and our first time in Ft. Lauderdale. I wanted try a new restaurant and searched restaurants near our hotel. We thought the parking could use improvements it's like a dirt rocky parking lot of sorts after a limited of parking spaces. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy. The staff was friendly. I ordered the Starter Shack which was 2 eggs, homemade fries (delicious with onion and red bell pepper) and crispy bacon and toast and I order orange juice that tasted like freshly squeezed. I also ordered a cinnamon roll. My husband ordered the Belgian waffle with 2 eggs and bacon, but he got french toast instead but he still enjoyed the french toast with coffee. The restaurant itself is not big so it is cozy and you can hear your neighbor talking. There is nice relaxing music playing in the background. We were very pleased and happy we chose to eat at the Bake Shack instead of a big chain restaurant. Our bill was approx $35. read more

I've been The Bake Shack on a handful of occasions only because I don't live in Hollywood, however, if I'm ever within 3 miles of the place I have to detour and stop in no matter what (pending they are open of course). I have met the majority of the staff and the owner of the establishment and I have to say, you couldn't ask for a more pleasant group to greet you once you walk in. The pastries are one of a kind and baked fresh DAILY, that's right, nothing is ever old or stale. I've had one of the best bang for my buck lunches ever here as well. A delicious Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a piece of chicken so big I had to cut it in half and stack it (DOUBLE DECKER). This place makes the best ice coffee I've ever had. Colombian bean is the way to go and the roast is just perfect. I was so excited to write this review because I just love this little restaurant so much and I want to see them build, grow and succeed.
