Visited BBS for THE BOX (it's a cake sample box with a bunch of different cake flavors). It's not somthing that is always available and I had to preorder. I was so excited because I'd been following them on Instagram for a while and had seen the box before but hadn't had a chance to try it. I think it mid-October when I saw a post stating that they were available for a limited time and would not be available again until January. I immediately placed an order with the hope of freezing it and saving it for November during my husband's birthday. Well, I'm happy to report it froze beautifully and we were able to try out all the different cake flavors when we celebrated my husband's birthday in mid-November. I found this bakery on Yelp (thanks Yelp!) and looked through their website for their offerings for a wedding cake for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Their website is super informative and they have a lot of photos of their designs made in the past. It was a pretty easy choice to get our cake from this bakery. Ordering can be done online but we choose to go into the bakery to ask questions etc. The person who helped us was super helpful answered all our questions and provided all the assurance we needed. We choose a 12" vanilla and strawberries cake with a custom design my mom picked from their instagram photos. They modified some of the colors for us to make it just how we wanted. We placed the order, paid for it and done until pick up date! On the day of pick up, everything was super easy. We let the cake sit out for the recommended time and displayed it during the reception. We came in to place a custom order about a week prior for some Birthday/Mother's Day cupcakes, and everything just went so perfectly. But we gonna eat em still lol. The S'mores one has chocolate frosting with a little marshmallow flavored type cream on top that looks like it was torched with fire to give it the "toasted marshmallow effect" (or it might just be some creative special effects lol but it looks real and tastes just like toasted marshmallow! Check out the pics I added) and the other half is chocolate frosting with ghram cracker crumbles on top! The red velvet has an elegant look lol, It's a simple and classic design, and it's rich and velvety and smooth tasting. And the Oreo one has Oreo crumbs in the batter as well as in the frosting, plus half of the cupcake is covered in Oreo cookie crumbles! We taste tested each of them so far, and ALL of them are super moist, fluffy, and soooo soft!! Great flavors all around!! and there so rich too!!! I love sweetness, so it's not too sweet for me at all! Man, we are just blown away by everything! Lol. I first saw this Bakery on Instagram and one of my really good friend kept telling me about this delicious caramel apple and treats. The one thing she kept raving about was the tres leches cake. She told me that it was one of the best tres leches cake she has ever had, so I knew I had to try it out. I ordered my cake here for my 21st wedding anniversary last month. I ordered an 8" tres leches cake with strawberry filling and it was so delicious. The cake was definitely one of the best tres leches cake I've eaten. I would definitely recommend and re-order the tres leches cake. While waiting on our cake to be completed, it was a bit delayed which was definitely worth it. We had an opportunity to chit chat with one of the owners. He was very friendly and definitely made us feel at home. I love their small business adventures and how COVID19 has not affected their opening. I love supporting businesses like this because local businesses is what makes our community what it is. This bakery helped make my 21st wedding anniversary memorable. I have not tried too many of their baked goods, but I plan to definitely come back to try more. I was looking for a cake for my best friend's first baby's gender reveal. I read lot's of reviews and every single one was raving about how delicious everything was. The owners/bakers were extremely easy to work with, very friendly, and responsive in communicating. They brought my vision to life- it was even better than the inspo picture I had originally provided. Their shop is cute and clean. They even have some candle options and cupcakes, slices of cakes, whole cakes, cookies, brownies, etc all in the case available for grab and go. The cake I ordered needed to feed 15 to 20 and was relatively inexpensive considering I had looked around and other places wanted double. I opted for a funfetti or confetti cake and it did not disappoint! The cake was ready as promised, boxed beautifully, it was moist and fluffy and just the perfect amount of sweet. Some of the guests even went back for 2nds! I am SO happy I ran across Baked Bake Shop and will definitely choose them each and every time going forward for any of my cake needs. The tres leches cake is one of the best I have tried not too sweet and just the right amount of moist! Last January, I had the pleasure of stepping through the doors at Baked Bake Shop. Been wanting to try them for awhile because I do love my sweets!! He told me about all their choices, and there were plenty of beautiful creations to choose from! Their display cases looked lovely with all the yummy looking desserts. I literally wanted at least one of everything, but both my pocketbook and metabolism would not allow it to be. I chose three desserts to eat later that day. I do not remember the exact names of them all, but they were all really good! One of the items I tried was a Tres Leches cake. It did not disappoint. It was just wet enough for my preference. Many places I go, their version would be too soggy for my liking. Baked Bake Shop did their version really good. Tasted delish! (4.5 stars) Second item I tried was one of their cheesecakes. I believe it was the Toffee Cheesecake. Definitely one of the better cheesecakes that I've tried in Bakersfield. (4 stars) Third item I tried was some sort of Pecan Bar. Whatever it was called, that thing was excellent!! Both my wife and I loved it!! (5 stars) Baked Bake Shop is better than Good so they deserve more than 4 stars on Yelp. I was excited to try the new bakery in town! First off. Those THICC brownies are so rich and fudgy. It's a good thing I live clear across town because it was delicious. Like I can have a whole sheet delicious. Probably the highlight of my trip there. I also got their tres leches cake with rum, oreo rice krispie, guava cheesecake, and a cupcake. I've never had the oreo rice krispie before and it was interesting in a good way. Their cheesecake was light with an almost whipped texture. I prefer the denser NY cheesecake, but this was also good. I enjoyed the guava topping! I will definitely be back. I wish they had more selection though and their hours are kind of limited (wed-sat 10-7). A gem! My partner saw this bakery on Instagram and on a Saturday afternoon, we made our way there. It was a little late in the day so they weren't fully stocked but we got our hands on a slice of tres leches cake, banana pudding, blueberry scone, and a pineapple coconut cupcake. We were debating whether we should get a brownie and the fellow helping us out threw one in for free (top notch customer service, right there!). The brownie and tres leches were my favorites- delicious and fresh and we devoured them! The banana pudding was 2nd. My partner liked the cupcake as well- I don't eat coconut so didn't try it. Wish I would have gotten some good shots but this place has some of the best cake slices I've ever had! They had a 3 for $10 special on cake slices (found out through Instagram) and I picked the lemon poppy seed, funfetti, and chocolate. You can never go wrong with funfetti and I didn't think much of it when I took a bite but this was the best funfetti/vanilla cake slice I've ever had. The cake was spongey and moist and the frosting is thick/ perfect consistent and not too overly sweet. The lemon poppy seed was scrumptious as well. I messaged this bake shop last minute before my son's birthday party with only about a week notice. They informed me that they were not able to do a custom cake without a two week advance notice. However they offered to do "an edible image with light decoration" so of course I agreed. I knew that it was my fault for not giving the notice ahead of time and I just appreciated that they were willing to work with me. When we picked up this cake we were absolutely blown away!! They had me send them an image of what we wanted on the cake which in this case was Frogman from Marvel which is my son's theme. I also told them they could do any lily pads, water, frogs, or swamp like decorations. Our party was frog themed loosely based on the Frogman character so we were asking for an abnormal theme of cake. We were also told we could choose any of the flavors they offered and were given a link to their website which contains all of the flavors they bake. These flavors are all included in one of their popular items "the box" which you can order for pick up. "The Box" contains a slice of all of the different flavors of cake for you to taste. All of the flavors looked amazing. There were a few flavors that were totally unique including the s'mores one that we ordered for this cake. My son wanted chocolate peanut butter and we felt that s'mores was the closest flavor they offered. My son loves marshmallow and their s'mores flavor contains a homemade marshmallow fluff. They also had a few other flavors I definitely want to go back and try! I love anything lemon poppyseed which is one of their flavors and they also have a banana coffee cake which sounds delicious! Our last minute cake with "light decoration" was a million times better than we even imagined! When the person on the phone told me edible image I had pictured in my head a generic grocery store a cake with the printed image on the top. I did not expect such a creative and perfectly themed final product. The decorations were done beautifully and everything was made with frosting instead of fondant which I loved. In the photos I attached I added the plastic frog decorations, so those did not come included on the cake, but everything else pictured was completed by the bake shop. The cake looked absolutely amazing and tasted incredible. I loved that the cake contained multiple layers of marshmallow and frosting so it was woven throughout the cake. The cake itself was also really thick and airy and rich with chocolate flavor. I also really appreciated the packaging. It came in a really sturdy box that insured that our cake arrived safely.
