    Cauliflower vegetable pizza

I've been to Baked about three times now. Pretty good pizza, especially the cauliflower crust. The bread they bring out with the olive oil is a real treat. Service is generally ok (always makes a point to thank you for your business which is nice) I look forward to the soup and salad bar returning and recommend giving them a try.

Pizza was good. Everything else was not. A lot of improvement needed or else out of business in 6 months.

But when we arrived, right after they opened on a Sunday morning, we were told that they only serve "what we refer to as 'brunch' on Sundays", and were handed paper menus with five items on it. Slightly confused, hoping we could still order off of their main menu, we waited for the waitress to return with our coffee (three Americanos and one latte). And we waited. And then we waited. And we waited some more. While we waited, three other parties came in, sat down, questioned the menu, then got up and left. Had it been just us that had that reaction to the abbreviated menu, I would have voted to woman up and just stay put. I didn't want to be "those tourists" who get all riled up about something local that doesn't fit their expectations. But once we (finally!) got our coffee and asked the waitress for clarification, we realized we had to go. The menu was the menu. Their sides - which are referenced on the menu but are never explained - were lackluster for the "base" and even less impressive for the "premium" options, which of course would have cost us even more money. That, paired with the uninspired and surprisingly one-note menu just drove us right out the door. My latte was at least delightful, but that's all I can say. Also, the place was likely very clean, because we were hit by a powerful smell of disinfectant and/or cleaner when we walked in. And finally, the waitress removed my menu after she saw me taking a picture of it. She didn't touch anybody else's menu, just mine.

This has got to be a prank. I think I've been punk'd. I…read moreordered a 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich combo, a fruit bowl, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup today from Panera. We received our order and the first thing out of the bag was the fruit bowl. The pictures showed strawberries, cantaloupe, and blueberries. Picture will be posted. No strawberries and very thinly sliced cantaloupe. Then I pull out the bbq 1/2 sandwich. There is only a very tiny amount of chicken on the middle of the half sandwich. Hey they put a good amount of bbq on there. Pictures posted on this as well. If this is the amount of food you get on the sandwiches there will be one less Panera bread customer. So I called thinking surely there was a mistake. Manage says we have measuring cups for the food and it was indeed correct. They didn't have strawberries for the fruit cup so they couldn't give any. No apologies, no added other fruit or more of one of the other fruits. When I stated the chicken was only in the middle part of the sandwich she stated once again they have measuring cups for that. I surely hope Panera is not that stingy with their food that comes at premium prices.. I'm telling you if I could give it a zero I would. I ate bbq bread, thin slices of cantaloupe and a few blueberries. Soup cups 1/2 full, I can only imagine they use measuring cups for that as well.. What little circle of chicken I did eat was ok. The 1/2 cup (bowl according to them) was warm and Thank Goodness my daughter was sick because the half "bowl/cup" would not have been enough otherwise. Absolutely do not recommend and won't be back.

To me it looks more like a tea shop than a sandwich shop. During our visit, they played fairly loud religious music for a sandwich shop. Next door was an ice cream shop but I didn't feel like any ice cream after eating and I'm not a big Blue Bell fan anyway. They have 2 menus and a lot of items to choose from but most are breakfast or lunch items. I went with a specialty sandwich, the Victoria (a chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread) and a sweet tea. I added their homemade potato salad for $1 more. The sandwich - this was a tasty sandwich on soft ciabatta bread but only 1 problem, the kitchen put American cheese on it. The menu indicated it had cheddar. Luckily they were able to bring me some cheddar from the kitchen while I was scraping off the processed cheese. Overall, it was pretty good because of a sauce they put on it which is slathered all over the shredded chicken. Potato salad - this is mayo based, quite different than the mustard based potato salad in the south. They added plenty of dill on the sandwich which made my colleague cringe since he also substituted for potato salad, but I thought it was pretty good. The service was a little strange as I heard our waitress keep making mistakes with another nearby table too as she kept saying "sorry" to that table as well.

One is for breakfast and lunch and one serves sandwiches, coffee, and ice cream. We chose the latter one. Small dining area but it was not busy so we seated ourselves. Promptly someone came and took our order after giving us some very helpful suggestions. We chose The Rose with broccoli salad and the Smoking Cricket with potato salad. All of it was delicious. But our favorite is The Rose. Their homemade pimento cheese with bacon and pepper jelly on ciabatta was amazing!

I have eaten at Cheddar's before but typically not watching what I was eating. They have a vast menu of quality downhome options. As I'm on a health journey, this will focus on their healthier options. The restaurant itself is in a busy part of Kingsport that has many restaurants of different kinds. It was clean and well laid out. There was ample parking and it was easy to get to. The service was good, as the waitress was attentive and checked on me regularly. She brought out the honey buttered croissant and was able to make recommendations. As for the food, there was several healthy options. A couple types of chicken, sirloin steaks, and fish options (salmon and white fish). I chose the Lemon Pepper chicken breast with rice and carrots and green beans as the side. The chicken was very good and flavorful. There were 2 breasts included so it was nice and filling. The rice was just enough to supplement the chicken with a little bit of carbs. The carrots were tender but lacked flavor. The green beans were average. Overall, this location was clean and friendly and had some healthy options to allow health conscious patrons some options. The chicken was very tasty while the carrots and green beans were pretty standard.

(I ordered off the GF menu) when the food was brought out there was a cup of sauce on the plate. I asked what it was. She said it is bourbon glaze. I questioned her on if this was GF bc it was not listed as GF. I was told by her and another man that helped her carry out our food "I think so." I asked that they make sure because to my knowledge nothing with bourbon is GF. She walked back to the kitchen and came back and said, "I just asked the kitchen manager and he said, "It is gluten free." I really didn't trust it bc there was clearly a lack of training. I asked for the ingredient list for the glaze she goes back to the kitchen. While she was in the kitchen I pulled their GF stuff up and it wasn't there. Within the menu online it clearly stated "gluten sensitive served without bourbon glaze." So, when she came back and to tell me again it was GF and the kitchen manager told her it was safe. I told her that the glaze was not GF and was listed online as it was not GF. She was like yes it is I asked twice. I then asked for a manager bc I know it is a lack of training and it is a very serious issue. If I would have eaten it I would have had a bad allergic reaction. She teas like I just asked him. So I said "Please I'm asking you to ask the Manager to come out." It took forever for the manager to finally come out. When one of the people I was with said it is taking him forever to come out. I said, " he is probably back there brushing up on the ingredients before he comes out so he knows what he is talking about." When he finally came out that was confirmed. He told me that he was sorry bc they told me wrong and that it isn't GF. I told him that he needed to do better at training the staff bc it isn't a waitress issue at this point it is a management issue bc the training isn't in place and if I didn't know what I was talking about I would have ended up with an allergic reaction that could have sent me to the ER. Giving someone with an allergy to Gluten can KILL them. I share this story for my other allergy people to triple check and if you have a gut feeling you need to sit there and research before partaking in the food. I did tell the waitress that it wasn't her fault that they didn't train her for this. My brother who is a manger and has taken the safe serving class told her to never take her managers word for it to always make them come out to talk to the person so if this was to happen and the person was to eat it she wouldn't be at fault. You could see the effect the situation had on her that it almost happened. Just an FYI she knows we were not mad at her.
