Wow!!! This place is great. The pizza is awesome, we loved the flavor of the crust. The garlic balls are amazing. We could have made a meal out of them. The service was outstanding and we didn't have to wait long for the food to come. The salad bar looks amazing and Kingsport's has needed a good place for a salad bar and they have soups also. Has a lot of potential if they get the pizza crust right and more crispy. The toppings and sauce were excellent, tasty, & high quality, but the crust was floppy/slightly under done. If they can fix that issue, their pizza would be the best in town by far. We visited the Sunday lunch buffet and the salad bar was excellent and very fresh. Bathrooms could use some major attention (kind of gave off a gas station vibe). After your meal, try some gelato. It was pretty good and homemade! With some finishing touches to the decor and just making the setting a little more professional (fold up table for the buffet desserts was kind of tacky) and a bathroom upgrade is recommended, this could be the best pizza restaurant in town! read more

Date night was at Baked on Stone. Wife ordered the spicy Italian pizza with a gluten free crust. Waitress repeated gluten free crust. When the ticket came there was no up charge. Asked the cooks if it was a gluten free crust. They said no. My wife is a celiac. this is not cool. read more

It was our first visit to Baked on Stone, as we are anxious to try new places. We ordered the "make your own" pizza as the selection was very limited maybe 8 or so pizzas. The basic order was $12 that included cheese and sauce , with the extras the pizza was about $20. We ordered one salad from the salad bar, which was the highlight of the dinner and actually quite good (hence the 2 star rating). The pizza crust was burnt in spots, the sauce and cheese were barely visible and the few ingredients were not cooked entirely, which meant it was under cooked, but edible. We mentioned it to the waitress and she did offer another one, but we were both hungry and didn't want to wait and the next one may have been the same! Her excuse was the cooks are busy! We noticed at least 3 or 4 cooks and 3 couples were dining! What should have happened, is the manager should have been told (we were unhappy), but that never happened! The total bill was $25.00 including the salad bar, but the meal wasn't worth $12. It was the worst pizza we have ever had. I will be surprised if this business is "IN" business 6 months from now! read more

I've been to Baked about three times now. Pretty good pizza, especially the cauliflower crust. The bread they bring out with the olive oil is a real treat. Service is generally ok (always makes a point to thank you for your business which is nice) I look forward to the soup and salad bar returning and recommend giving them a try. read more

Thought we would try. Don't bother. Was far from packed everyone was waiting. Something must have been wrong with the oven. They had an infrared gun out. They made a gluten free customers pizza wrong. They ordered cauliflower crust. Cook apologized and went to the back to eat some of the pizza, came back out a few minutes with a mouthful and started making new pizza. Waitress that was supposed to wait on us was just running around. The hostess tried to help us but didn't know much but was nice. We received a soft drink and an unsweetened tea. Waited about ten minutes. Our Order was never taken. We left 10 dollars on the table and left. This place will be out of business in 3 1/2 weeks. My bet. read more

Business phone number is disconnected, but their site is still allowing orders through chow now. Ordered, paid, and never got a confirmation so I called and that's when I saw that it was listed as permanently closed on google. Don't make the same mistake I did. There are some challenges they appear to be working through, but I really do enjoy the pizza. The service is hit or miss. Their Valentines special was good. The salad was a good size and the ingredients were fresh. We have tried the bbq chicken pizza, Hawaiian and the Phili. All good. read more

My new favorite pizza spot in the tri-cities! Crust has the sort of well-developed flavor you never knew you were missing, and it's the only place around to get a margherita with buffalo mozzarella. The only salad bar I've ever in my life described as "thrilling" (includes toum, a sort of Lebanese aioli with garlic as the emulsifier, which I've read about but never had the opportunity to try). Lots of space for large parties. I'm not sure if it'll be true forever, but for now all draft beers are $3, all day every day! read more

Really enjoyed our pizza and the salad bar. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The only area that I saw that needed to be vastly improved was the bathroom. It is very obvious that this building was formerly a night club. There is really nice tile in there but it's still covered the brown stains from dirty shoes tracking in spilled drinks from the dance floor. Also the stalls still have a lot of glue and such remaining on the walls from posters. The bathroom was clean but it needs a deep cleaning. It just felt like a night club still in there. However, we enjoyed our experience overall and would like to come back to try the lunch buffet. read more
