Super charming cafe with a really nice outdoor dining area! Staff were so kind and friendly. All around a great morning stop for some coffee and some pastries!!

The meals were great! Turkey bagel and housemade vanilla latte were definitely shoe stoppers. Donuts and scone were good, though they were a little dryer than we anticipated. That said, we would go back for more. The real star of the show was the orange loaf. It was basically a baby cake and was so moist. This alone is worth going for. Service was great, the men at the counter were super friendly and helpful with recommendations for us. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a casual coffee and meal.

Cute little spot in town and had to try it out based on the reviews. Super nice inside and cute out back seating and the weather was lovely. Friendly staff and very attentive. Biscuits and gravy had great flavor but not much gravy. When I asked for extra gravy I was charged $6 and didn't get much extra gravy. Breakfast burrito was a good size but they didn't have any salsa which is unheard of for places with breakfast burritos.

Baker and Cook.. Your new favorite breakfast spot. This is a charming little bakery, small parking lot but actually quite a lot of patio seating and a few tables inside in the main space. They have breakfast, a small selection of pastry and bread and a modest breakfast/lunch menu. So, if you come here hungry.. Trust me. Get the biscuit breakfast. "two buttermilk biscuits with house-made sausage gravy, three scrambled eggs and arugula $18" Was talking to the gentleman working the counter and he mentioned the head chef specializes in southern cooking. I'm not a connoisseur with this genre of food, but I've had a fair amount of it. Surely the most enjoyable biscuits and sausage gravy I've had. A local RI place and a local FL come close but Baker and Cook takes the cake. This is also a heavy portion. I was filled up after this and I have a healthy appetite. I know the biscuit and sausage gravy is the main attraction here but the eggs and arugula salad were equally tasty. All around great breakfast (my favorite breakfast of my vacation in fact). One day when I visit again I'll be making my way back here.

Stopped into Baker & Cook for a morning treat. All the baked goods looked so enticing and was happy to see they had tea & coffee. I ended up ordered one of their nutella filled donuts after seeing all the rave reviews. WOW! I also got a chai latte and couple of donut holes to nibble on as I waited. Everything tasted so good! So happy I stopped in to enjoy!

We had breakfast here today and had a great experience! The food was so good, the vibe was chill, and the coffee was delicious. We will definitely be back!

I might come back for their filled brioche donut, they look so good.

A random stop on my trip at Sonoma county. I found this place thanks to Yelp recommendation list of cafés to try at Sonoma. A small tranquil place with warm and well-made food.

Service: prompt and delivered both food and drinks quickly. Food: the Nutella brioche donut was to die for! Dense, rich and FILLED with Nutella. You definitely need a coffee or beverage to enjoy alongside the donut. The turkey bagel breakfast sandwich was just okay in my opinion. The bagel was fine, but no flavors really stood out to me for the sandwich itself. Drink: my dirty chai was not that great. I almost wonder if I received the wrong drink. No chai spices were present and tasted more like a standard latte. My friend ordered a vanilla latte though and hers was delicious.

Breakfast was great. Good coffee. Good pastries. Reasonable prices. The staff were kind. The back patio is a bit small and fine.

If you're planning to order to go: Baker and Cook is a cute, cozy café with delicious pastries and great breakfast options. We live just around the corner and have walked over several times--it definitely deserves five stars for the vibe alone. However, I'm giving it three stars because of a recent to go experience with their salmon bagel sandwich. I ordered it to-go and instead of receiving a sandwich, I got a deconstructed version: salmon, bagel, tomatoes, cream cheese, capers, and onions all packed separately in a box. I had to assemble it myself, which, if I'd wanted to build my own bagel, I would have just gone to the store and done that! What was even more confusing is that my wife's croissant sandwich came perfectly assembled and looked beautiful. So why did I have to play chef with mine? I hope this review helps the staff understand that we go to restaurants to get ready-to-eat meals. We tip to receive ready-to-eat meals. It would be nice to at least be notified in advance if a sandwich or dish is deconstructed for a reason. I'd love to return, and if things improve, I'm willing to change my review after another visit.

The best almond croissant I've had in my life. And the mini beignets are amazing! Thank you for opening, we can't wait to come back.

I looked up breakfast places and we were directed here. What a hidden gem... or maybe everyone else knows about it but us. The parking is limited, but you can park around the back or next door in the McD's lot. Seating outside, but since it was raining, we opted for inside. We walked into a cozy, friendly environment which was packed. The only table that was available, was a table for 1 in the corner. The extremely generous young man sitting by the door, heard what the server had offered us and he immediately turned to us and gave us his table and he moved to the single table. I don't think anyone has ever done this for us. We gladly accepted and in turn we treated him to breakfast. We were curious to see the plates coming out of the small kitchen. The pancakes look amazing, as did everything else we caught a glimpse of. A Vallejo omelette and a basic eggs, bacon and potatoes plate. My husband absolutely loved the omelette comparing it to the ones he used to order at the Cliff House in SF back in the day. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were perfect with onion and red peppers added in. Omelette $20 and egg combo $19. Very reasonably priced. The service was great and the food came out piping hot. We will definitely visit again. They were written up in Sonoma magazine for the lemon pancakes and French toast.

The place was packed, and we had to wait a few minutes just to get in the door to talk to the Hostess. We were offered a 2 hour wait, or spots at the bar. We quickly agreed to sit at the bar. We were pleasantly greeted by Abby, served brunch drinks, and got great menu recommendations. One of the best French 75s I have had! We ordered the Spinach Benedict and the Beef Hash. Both dishes were very interesting and flavorful - not your average faire. The benedict was unusual, with the tomato-based sauce, but very tasty. The hash was heavy with local mushrooms, which gave it a richness and depth. The accompanying eggs were beautifully prepared (poached for the Benedict, and fried sunny side up for the hash). We loved the atmosphere, the food, and the super friendly and personal service. Thank you Girl and the Fig for making us feel like old friends and serving us such lovely food! We'll be back soon!

We started in the bar with special spritzes created by the bartender, Deb, which were delicious. Our group was seated promptly, and we ordered a bottle of Rose from Arnot Roberts that was amazing, the wine list is extensive, but the server was knowledgeable and able to recommend some great local offerings. We had been to Sante before, but the restaurant looks fresh and chic since the recent renovation. Sean Carscaden, one of our favorite local artists was playing a couple of tables away, the volume was perfect, we were able to have conversations without it being obtrusive. The courses came out "family-style", we never waited for anything but also did not feel rushed. We had a friend join as we were starting the second course, staff was accommodating and moved a table over and got her caught up on the previous course. Since we had seen Sean before, we knew some of his playlist and he allowed us to request some songs. We ordered a bottle of Syrah to have with our main course, and it was perfect. I wish we would have taken some pictures of the food, but we were having such a nice time talking, drinking and eating that it slipped our mind, that's when you know you are having a good dinner. Dessert was strawberry shortcake, totally seasonal from a local farm, paired with a beautiful dessert wine. Totally recommend the Sunday Supper experience, they even have valet parking, and you can sit out front at one of the firepits after dinner. Kudos to Chef Jen.

It's a small and casual operation - there's a large seating area behind the restaurant with self serve water. Limited parking out front, and the back lot (with the seating) also has some space for parking, but it's not hard to find parking in the surrounding area. The food here is awesome - deep flavors and genuinely a ton of craft in their work (tamales and tortillas made fresh, you can see them making it through the window by the register). The food is pretty classic, but just executed so well - I really don't think you can go wrong. My personal favorites are the mole enchiladas / tamales (gently sweet, smoky mole, not overly chocolatey and really balanced, especially with a side of pickles) and the fish tacos (GIGANTIC).
