BEC BACON EGG CHEESE on a perfectly toasted sesame seed bagel
    Anthony C.

Came to try Chef Joshua and Heidy's new breakfast spot. Well I was really impressed with the breakfast sandwich as well as the latte! Although I didn't snap a picture they have some nice pink bistro tables and awesome retro 50's looking fringe umbrellas. I really like the throwback vibe they chose for the decor. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a perfectly toasted sesame seed bagel is what I had and it was fantastic. If you're in the mood for a cafe style breakfast that's quick and easy then I highly recommend you give SPK a try! This is an order at the counter spot, so don't expect table service. It's kinda a to-go spot to be honest, which is what we did. Our coffee came out before our food which was nice and the cafe tables made a nice spot to relax and sip our coffee while we waited for our sandwiches to come out. Which happened relatively quickly. The price, quality and value were all amazing! And the service was quick, friendly and efficient. I highly suggest giving SPK a try!

Such a cute little stand and the sandwich was to die for! I'm hooked! I'll be back for sure!

This place is a gem!! It's a little piece of New York in Sonoma. Service was great, easy and fast. Coffee was delicious! Great place to grab breakfast to go with awesome quality!! It can be noisy with the street so close, but they have great jazz playing in the background too.

The food and coffee are delicious! They have a La Marzocco espresso machine and use Sparrow coffee and it's amazing. Lots of flavor in the food, friendly service, and not a long wait time to get your food. The spot is convenient along 12 in Kenwood near lots of good wineries. I recommend stopping in to grab a bite and a good flat white.

Pork roll and BEC, both on Kaiser rolls

Best BEC (and breakfast sandwich generally) we've had in so long! The Kaiser roll is perfect for it. We will be regulars!

This Boston boy is overjoyed with this NY styled breakfast sando. It definitely hit the spot but don't forget to grab a kouign amann just saying. PS - mimosa not included @SPK but I'm sure they are open to suggestions.

Bacon egg & cheese on a Kaiser roll

Had breakfast here every single day we spent on vacation in Sonoma. The BEC reminds me of what I ate when I lived in NYC, but all the sandwiches are fantastic. Don't sleep on the pastries either, they're all made in house and are spectacular (although they do sometimes run out towards the end of the day). Super fast service, great if you're on the go.

Bacon, egg, cheese on a Kaiser bun. Smoky, deliciousness!

The history of this winery can be traced back to the 1920s, when a rich mining family moved west from Michigan and purchased the land where it sits on. The winery business actually started in the 1970s by several businessmen from the San Joaquin Valley. 50+ years later, it remains one of the more recognizable names in the NorCal wine industry. I got here with my buddy David A. and his wife at around 4:15pm. The first thing that struck me was the tranquility. I was dealing with a major protest in my city that morning, so the peacefulness was truly appreciated by me. Aside from that, nature's beauty was on full display. The sky was blue, the hills were green, and the temperature was a perfect 72F. Sarah couldn't have asked for a better day to have her wedding! The ceremony was held in a covered area near the chateau, with seating set up for 100-150 guests. After the ceremony, a pre-reception cocktail party was held in the courtyard area. After about an hour or so, the dinner reception was held under the giant palm tree. The food and service for the entire event were fantastic. From appetizers to main course to desserts, the food was well prepared and delicious. Service provided by the staff was friendly and attentive. There were a couple minor hitches during the reception, but they resolved them quickly. Chateau St. Jean is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. As a non-drinker, I don't know enough about their wine to have an opinion on their quality, but I think you will really enjoy the serene setting.

We had reservations for 5:30 and arrived and were seated without incident. There were 3 of us and we sat next to a window. Or server was nice and friendly. We ordered drinks, had a few starters, then our dinner selections. All the food was very good. However, to our dismay and miss way through our dining, a party of 7 was seated next to us in the middle of this indoor dining area. That's when the bottom fell out. The ambience was destroyed. These people were beyond loud. They were not drunk, just obnoxious and so load our server had to lean down to get near our heads to hear us and for us to hear her. I honestly could not hear my wife who was across from me in this small table when she talked. I noticed several other smaller tables around this group looking startled/shocked. In my opinion, this group was so out of line, the manager should have at least come to their table and ask them to bring the volume down . However nothing happened. Or dinner was ruined. We quickly finished our dinner, paid the bill and left. The restaurant acoustics obviously weren't capable to handle this kind of noise. Shame on the management for not addressing these extremely rude guests. We'll think twice before coming back.

They def knew their menu. Immediately brought water with cucumber and lemon, very refreshing. I ordered the bread with butter to start, it was excellent. That butter just melts on every bite, taking the bread to the next level. Staff recommended the Rachel pastrami. It did not disappoint. It was very simple. However the combination of the thousand Island, sauerkraut, the pastrami and buttered bread just made it so delicious. It was decently meat packed too. The sandwich came with fries which I inhaled the ketchup that they brought me extra. It also came with two types of coleslaw both were delish. They were not overwhelming with dressing. The yellow one was interesting bc I thought it was turmeric but it was slightly sweet. Delish as well. Also ordered their Italian prosecco. I'm into red wine but for some reason perhaps the environment I felt the prosecco would work and it did! It was bubbly refreshing, tasty, and not dry. Their restroom was big and clean. This is in the Jack London Village. They have parking on both ends. The village has other restaurants and wine tasting as well.
