Good spot. Got the favored little enclosure inside and it was wonderful to be able to have a conversation without all the ambient noise. Food was good...just not great. Had the Asian salad and avocado toast. The Asian salad needed more dressing and the avocado toast ok. The side of grilled Brussel sprouts were delicious.
This was a great find in Sonoma! We went mid morning and it was well staffed and our drinks and food came quickly. It has great breakfast/brunch items along with great mimosas and coffees. We split the chiliquiles and they had great flavor served with our choice of scrambled eggs and avocado. Two people in our group ordered the eggs Benedict which looked delicious along with an order of scrambled eggs and these fabulous hash browns. We enjoyed mimosas. The staff was very friendly and I loved the atmosphere. Airy and open. Plenty of seating options. Great parking and conveniently locked off the street.
Came here after our wine tasting at Bezingerfamily Winery, and we had such a great experience. The service was amazing, and everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. I first got a margarita colada on their happy hour menu, and it was a 9/10. For appetizers, we got focaccia bread, brussel sprouts, and truffle parmesan fries. All were amazing. For my entrée, I got the farmhouse smash burger. The bread for the bun was delicious and the sauce with it was a 10/10. Overall an amazing experience here. Loved the ambience and vibe inside as well. Would definitely come back!
Wow, quite surprising that this restaurant only rates at a 4.1 I thought the food was amazing. Maybe not a 5.0, but a solid 4.5 for sure. Was in Sonoma to see my mother and going out to lunch was on the agenda. We struck out at our first spot then saw this super cute restaurant on a drive by. The Farmhouse vibe was accurate, even from the outside. Inside was even cuter, very open and artsy. Got a lovely table in the back and received incredibly great service from Vincent. Professional, friendly, competent, knowledgeable. I don't have a huge sampling of the menu, but what we had was truly fantastic. We both had salads, my mom the Beet salad and I had a Caesar. Let me tell you, both were delicious. The Caesar dressing was perfect. Anchovy forward but not overpowering. My mom said the Beet salad was the best she had ever had. Note the picture as I'm surprised she didn't lick the bowl! We then shared a mushroom, bacon, truffle, arugula, and balsamic glazed pizza with shaved parmigiana on top. Don't like saying things like "that's the best mushroom pie I've ever had", but I believe that it was!!! Triple Wow. Beautiful thin flatbread crust, tasty sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon bits and just a hint of truffle. The balsamic just tied it all together. Ahhhhhhhhhh... Looking forward to my return to continue exploring the menu. Thanks, mom, for living so close. Cheers
When people talk about having an experience at a restaurant this is what they mean! This place was great from start to finish. I think we tried almost every appetizer they had. We had a group of 7 and we felt like we were the only ones there (even though the place was full). The service was top notch. Never stopped checking on us and made sure we had what we wanted. They took our orders a little bit after we had received our appetizers but they checked on us to see when we wanted them to put in our food orders to make sure we were ready to eat fresh food! I think the waitress even asked "are you ready for dinner? We want you to eat dinner fresh." I ordered the spare ribs and it was delicious. Very tender and flavorful! Served on a bed of creamy and whipped mashed potatoes. The best word I could describe this restaurant is "fresh!"
The reviews, like the food and experience, seem to be a bit all over the place. Our experience was a solid "meh." Nothing to write home about, nothing to particularly complain about -- although it did take a look time for our food to come out. We went for lunch and there was one larger table of folks, but even with that at the time we went, it shouldn't have taken as long as it did. Our server and the support servers were all lovely, and they also comped our hot beverages at the end, which was a nice gesture. My friends both had the tuna salad and their reactions were mixed -- one really enjoyed it, and the other enjoyed the salad but said the tuna could have been cooked a bit more (I'm not a seafood person so I honestly don't know from tuna or any other fish!). I had the avocado toast -- again, meh. The toast was overdone, and the tomatoes were stewed instead of just raw, so the taste overall was more on the bitter side, even with the fresh avocado. The brussels sprouts were definitely overdone -- I cook sprouts a lot, and I know that when you either roast or pan sauté them you need to almost burn them to bring out the sweetness -- these, unfortunately, went a bit too far and just burned. The burrata was good. We did, however, share their truffle fries, which were excellent. The truffle flavor was subtle -- you can just taste it, but it isn't overwhelming. I don't know whether they have their own home made ketchup, but whatever they use was really good and flavorful. So that's our experience. The interior is lovely as, again, are the staff -- but there wasn't anything that made me feel like I'd want to go give this place a second try.
Bright and spacious space that's family friendly. The service was warm and friendly. Prices are a little high, but they use quality, locally sourced ingredients. I got: Fried chicken sandwich: crunchy and juicy chicken on tender, homemade brioche. I thought it could use more sauce or seasonings but otherwise is good. Mushroom and truffle pizza: loved this! Thin crust pizza. Portion is good to share for 2 persons.
The atmosphere is bright cozy and calm, service is friendly. The food is soooo good, very fresh ingredients. The tomatoes on the avocado toast were the best I've had, and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. The salmon was perfect. Overall 5 stars, highly recommend.
Baked brie and focaccia and mushroom pear pizza! Such a wonderful combination of sweet and savory. Upon arrival, we were seated in a dimly lit spacious seating area with booths and bar seating. We were tended to by our waiter, Chris, who was friendly. Food came out quickly and was freshly hot - melty brie cheese with sweetness from the berries and a crunch from the pumpkin seeds. Mushroom pizza was flavorful with spiced meat and mushroom, topped with sweet pear and lightly bitter arugula. Great meal and atmosphere.
Service - Hostess was super friendly and seated us right away. Our server came by and took our order quickly . We asked for the kids pizza to be delivered first . Wife and I decided to try the beef wellington + share the risotto. We got our Risotto and Beef Wellington first, so we asked where the kids pizzas were. The waitress said she would check . 20 minutes goes by and we asked again if the kids food was coming. I think it's reasonable to be upset as we ourselves couldn't even enjoy the food because our 4 and 2 year old are getting impatient. breakdown between kitchen and front end . the pizza came out after a few more communication with the staff. they did apologize and remove the pizza charge. But we would have gladly paid for the pizza . Food- Beef Wellington was a tough cut of meat and not tender . it was beef underwhelming-ton Risotto - Meh, or Mid ( average) Pizza - best item of the night. We wanted to try this place again as locals, another disappointment. We've have been to many local Sonoma / Napa restaurants and have never had multiple experiences that were a lack of attention to details , especially for the kiddos. After tonight, not sure we will be back. But maybe third time's a charm .
Wow a surprise! Brother came out for a weekend and we stumbled upon this place!!! The service was spot on, Aaron was amazing. Caesar salad was crisp and anchovies delicious!!!!!! Calamari: well breaded. not heavy! Branzino was absolutely wonder! Full fish, tail crispy! Flavor wonderful!!! Short rib cooked to perfection. Cauliflower was great but it was not a 'steak' as it stated, it was individual florets...great flavor mousse was great. Light! Drinks were very tasty!!!! restaurant was loud but could hear each other.
Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent cocktails really elevate the traditional diner experience at Farmhouse Sonoma! We stopped in for happy hour and everything was so delicious, but the real showstopper for me was their margarita colada. It was so balanced and unique that I HAD to get a second one! The calamari was amazing as well! Flavorful, light batter, fried to perfection and a yummy dipping sauce. Really looking forward to many more happy hours and definitely try brunch on a relaxed weekend.
I was in the Sonoma area for an event in the afternoon. I had met a friend for Breakfast or early lunch before my scheduled event. I had into a table while I waited for my friend. It looked pretty cozy like a lodge In Wisconsin or possibly Peggy Sue would be married. I saw they had Beers on draft but decided to be good since i was schedules to work later. I wound up ordering a 2 Egg Breakfast with Hash browns and Smoked applewood bacon. I also ordered a Matcha Waffle instead of Toast. Service was spot on and all the wait staff were super friendly. The food was really good but the bacon was a little too salty for me. Coffee was good and great place for a meet up and super cozy and great service.

Stopped by this place on a Saturday around 4:40 PM, walking in through the back door, and was honestly impressed the moment we walked in. The place has a beautiful country farmhouse vibe, bright, open dining room, and a separate bar tucked away in the back(right where we walked in), that makes it feel cozy without being noisy. They also have a really nice Happy Hour menu, even on weekends until 5 PM, which was a pleasant surprize. The only downside was the service. The restaurant was almost empty, but our party of three ordered a salad, two appetizers, and a mushroom pizza, then ended up waiting until about 5:30 PM. After reminding our server about the order, everything suddenly started coming out. Food was mostly very good. The beet salad was spot on, and the burrata was fresh and exactly what we were hoping for. The calamari was a little over-fried, though I really liked the seasoning. The mushroom pizza had good flavor, but it was a bit too heavy on the spices, so my four-year-old wouldn't eat it. Overall, it's still a solid 4-star place. Great atmosphere, good Happy Hour, and quality food with just a few things that could be improved. We'll definetly be back next time we're in the area. read more

When we arrived, we were lucky enough to meet Vincent, the manager, with whom we had a little bit of an issue with one of the bottles of wine, I gotta say Vince came to the rescue, made everything right quick and in a hurry. The server was Jesus. He was very kind, efficient, and absolutely charming, inside was very clean and perfectly farmhouse chic. It was a short visit, but we had some plans afterward. We totally enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious, and the service was on point. All I can say is thank you very much, Vincent, and thank you very much, Jesus, for ensuring we had a beautiful day. We will definitely come back again soon! Showed up for breakfast in a Wednesday and honestly thought they were closed- no cars in the parking lot. Tried the door and it was indeed open; a single table was occupied inside. No surprise that we were seated promptly, but overall service was just...ok. Not as prompt as I'd expect for someone only covering two tables. The space itself is airy and lovely, a little stereotypical farmhouse but I should have guessed that from the restaurant name. And the food was fine. Granted I ordered the farmhouse plate which isn't exactly exciting, the the eggs were meh and the hash browns painfully lacked salt. So it wasn't a bad experience, but I'm not rushing back either. read more
Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. What more can you ask for? We ordered sourdough bread, the Farmhouse salad and both were tasty. For dinner, we ordered the half chicken and Poke (appetizer) for dinner to share. It was a spectacular food experience. read more
This place is great. As I walked in, I noticed how cute the place was. It feels like a nice big home. Ceilings were high & very spacious. There was another seating area on the left side but we were seated in the area by the bar. I got the Cobb salad and a side of truffle fries. I can't resist me some truffle! It was so good! Great crisp crunch to them. The French toast was HUGE! You can't tell from the picture but the toast was really thick! It was delicious because it was eaten up with joy. The breakfast dishes got the stamp of approval from those who ordered it. They serve breakfast up until 2pm (I believe). The margarita pizza was given the thumbs up from the 8 year old. He also raved about the fries. If you get the burger, you're in for a treat because I saw it when they brought it out and it was GINORMOUS!!! I swear there was a steak knife in the center holding everything together. I would've had to split that! It was quite a site and looked instaworthy! lol. I highly recommend making a reservation a head of time during peak times or holidays as they get really busy. I do have to add that if you arrive starving, you'll be hangry because it does take a bit for the food to arrive. I wasn't super hungry so I was fine. I'd definitely come back. read more
We stopped in for breakfast before wine tasting and were greeted by the hostess. We were seated at a corner table which was great. Unfortunately, their heat was out that day and it was quite cold. Our hot latte and Americano helped to warm us up. We both ordered the omelet with hash browns. The omelette was good, but the hash browns were the star of the dish. They were crisp and well seasoned. We came here because it rated so highly on yelp. The reviews were not wrong. The service from host to server was excellent, made us feel.right at home. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing, country farm style. We shared a Margherita pizza and Ceasar salad as starters. The pizza had a thinner chewy crust that was salted perfectly. Top topping were all fresh and each ingredient popped with flavor. The salad was a blackened romaine spear with an excellent dressing topped with shaved cheese. We then shared the short rib. Substituted the polenta for mashed potatoes which they were nice enough to do for us. The meat was tender and flavorful. The veggies cooked just right and also very well seasoned. For dessert we had a deconstructed lemon merengue pic that came in a glass. Just enough mix between sweet and tart offset wonderfully by the crust on the bottom. Then we were offered a coffee befoee our drive and that also was excellent. Perfect evening. read more
Wow! What isn't to LOVE about this place, from the charming decor, to the varied menu, to the scrumptious desserts, everything was top-notch! I have been waiting for a place like this in Sonoma for years! It's away from downtown, which makes the parking a breeze. The menu has something for everyone, with the prices attainable for any budget. I went with a group and we tried a little bit of everything. The seasoning and cook was perfect on each dish. Any new place in Sonoma is going to be busy on a Saturday, but everyone was so kind and helpful. Took time to answer questions and explain menu items, I was really impressed! While they aren't even officially open, per as, they have launched a kind-of soft opening and are actively serving those who have discovered their doors open ... and we already LOVE this place! (We were really missing Palms Grill when they went out of business and this is a definite FRESH take on the space - only MUCH more upscale ambiance and modern fabulous farmhouse vibe!) Nice, simple menu with all the basics + a few nice surprises for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We just had a standard breakfast plate (with eggs cooked to perfection and an absolutely delicious homemade biscuit) and steak & eggs (with a modest portion of steak, properly trimmed of fat; presenting only the quality meat). Coffee was nice, the ambiance was beautiful, and the service outstandingly kind. It should be NOTED that they are still working out the "barely-open" service kinks so Yelpers should be extra kind & FORGIVING please, while they get settled into an more organized / attentive service rhythm (i.e., reviewers, please be kind and patient while they do this - they deserve the opportunity to show you what they can really do here, and we believe they can do wonderful things). We have no doubt this is going to be one of THE top locals spots for a nice meal or happy hour (and wow, yes, they have a full bar & have hired a rockstar bartender [Izzy] to create an amazing happy hour menu - so stay tuned, as that is coming soon!) Farmhouse Sonoma deserves 5-stars for the unlimited potential we see! We can't wait to watch and see what they do in the coming months! read more

This place gets a R for ripoff. They started out like a year ago with a lot of promise. They had taken an old grill that wasn't very popular and transformed it into a nicer restaurant with decent food. The problem is that after having a little success, they jacked up their prices like 50%, making it one of the most expensive places in town. If you make a $30 sandwich it better be the best and it isn't. If you make $30 eggs Benedict it's hard to justify. $17 drinks? If you want a great affordable breakfast, just go across the street to café Verano, or Black Bear is good. read more

Went to celebrate my moms birthday with my family. Our server Christian was amazing, great attention to detail (especially for someone like me who drinks a lot of water) my water was refilled very quickly. Ambiance was amazing, the aesthetic of the restaurant was very pleasing. Furthermore you cant forget the rest of the staff, Dawa and Fiona were great, they came over and wished my mom a Happy Birthday as well! The service was so attentive by everyone, you can tell they truly care about your experience. Additionally I got the filet and it was perfect. The filet was very juicy and tender. The wipped potatoes that paired with the Filet were stellar, smooth creamy and very tasty! Overall the experience is one to never forget and a place to come by in Sonoma! The service was fantastic. Everyone was super attentive and ready to help. The inside was spacious clean and well light. We ordered our drinks. The mojito tasted kinda watery and lacking some flavor. The guava drink tasted bland and "Irony" (don't ask me). The food was ok the flavor was good on both dishes. But the chilaquiles didn't have many chips. The steak sandwich had good flavors but it was a little salty. However the steak was super tender and melted in your mouth. On a side note though. This is a really beautiful restaurant in an old farmhouse. They kept a lot of the main structure, including using the original entryway as a cozy 4-top. If made a reservation, though was early enough that I probably didn't need it. I was greeted and seated immediately, and the waiter came over shortly afterwards to take my drink order and advise me of the specials. I hadn't planned on having soup, since the day was very warm, but when I found out it was cream of mushroom, yep, I had to try it. So glad I did. It was delightful, with crunchy bits of fried onions on top. I ordered the Bible lettuce salad to accompany my main entree of the ribeye steak, which came with crispy potatoes with rosemary, broccolini, and chippolini onions. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was served with an herb butter, as well as a pan sauce on the side. I loved the vibe and the food. I'll be back. read more
