Baker Hill is a cozy neighborhood diner located not too far from highway (I-90). The menu offers a selection of breakfast and lunch. We cane here on a Saturday breakfast, and it was somewhat busy, but we were able to get seated right away. The food quality is as expected. They always give you more eggs than stated in the menu. For example, I ordered one egg+ sausage, and I actually got two eggs. One of us ordered the hash brown crispier, it came out good. But the other one didn't specify so it's a bit on the al dente side. So, I would suggest to be specific, and same go for the bacon. We also had more than enough to bring home. read more

The food was good except the tortilla soup, the soup looked like a made up soup, too much onion that's cut a little big, I had to keep picking it out, there is barely rice but a lot of celery, onion and carrots, they have the tortilla on the side which I was okay with but I hope they fix it. I want to say that this place needs to improve their service and how they treat their customers and learn more about how to set people down as they arrive especially when it's a big group that is coming in instead of having them wait for everyone to come in. especially if one or two extra people end up coming to to eat with that group that aren't expected. They need to learn how to accommodate instead of complaining about they're being more people that that what they were told and be happy that we're bringing them more business. They were very rude. Also it just came with regular $1 bag of wheat bread I was expecting the heartier wheat toast restaurants serve. I also ordered chicken salad sandwich with soup. Chicken salad was nothing fancy just mayo and celery on once again $1 white toast. The bread they gave me for the soup was thrown in with my bag with no cling wrap or anything. We got there early on a Sunday morning and we were quickly seated which is always a plus! I tried one of the skillets because it's kind of my favorite breakfast as of late. It has chorizo in it and I honestly wasn't impressed. It didn't have any flavor and was missing so much. It was kind of just grounded meat and eggs. I ate most of it, but wouldn't order it again. I got a side of pancakes because of course I had to, we were at a pancake house! They were good, a little over cooked but good. They tasted like they had a hint of vanilla or cake flavor in them which was pleasing. The house syrup was good, but very runny. This is a restaurant that you can trust to feel safe. Everyone wore masks and every table/booth's disinfected before and after your seating. You have a choice to eat outside or inside. They have a huge tent set up outside with fans and plenty of ventilation as well as distancing. The inside is very nice and well distanced The bathrooms must have been remodeled during the shut down as they are really nicely done. The food is amazing as usual and all servers are so gracious and helpful. The owners have done an amazing job with this whole situation. I must add that I have been to a couple other restaurants and have not seen the attention to detail for the protection against covid19 as I have seen here! Food: Fox River Skillet ($8.25): hash brown potatoes with diced ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and melted cheddar cheese, topped with two eggs (cooked to your preference) and includes two buttermilk pancakes or toast... the skillet was simply delicious... very generous with the ingredients and very cheesy (i love cheese).. Buttermilk pancakes - are delicious and usually comes as an option with most of the menu items... Portions: food portions are huge..definitely will have leftovers so try to finish the food items that won't taste good for leftovers..and then bring the rest home.. Atmosphere: older couples, families.. pretty much anyone can come here.... Costs: definitely reasonable, they give you a lot for the amount of food that is provided and quality seems good too! We enjoyed our trip to Baker Hill Pancake House. We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday morning, and the place was packed! They were fairly accurate in their wait time, they said 15 minutes and it was right around 20 until we got our table. The waitress was fantastic- she arrived very quickly with our drinks, kept the refills of coffee and pop coming, and took our order in a timely fashion. Our food arrived very quickly, and was good for the price. My skillet was delicious, and the pancakes were fluffy and well cooked too. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. This location is a bit further from our house than other breakfast joints, so we won't be rushing back- but it is definitely a nice little breakfast joint with reasonable prices. read more

This is one of those places you want to go to every week. The first sign of how good the food is going to be is there's usually a wait. We passed at least a dozen other places most had just a few people in them, here the wait was 20 minutes for a table. Old school family run business where the dad and son are there every day making sure everything is done right. Service is on point with no shortage of staff to make sure everything is handled in a timely manner. But what about the food, after all that is why you go here. Everything is better than grandma made just don't tell her that. Omelettes are so fluffy and flavorful you wonder how they make them so much better than anyone else can. Doesn't matter if breakfast is your thing or if you want lunch you have to try this place. Just remember they close at 3:00 and that pretty much means get there by 2:30 or it's too late to order.
