Stopped by Saturday morning , around 8:00am. It was pretty busy. People were mainly getting their sweet bread and bolillos. We grabbed some sweet bread and a bread with cream cheese and jalapenos! Normally, conchas are my least favorite pan dulce, but this place found the perfect ratio of bread to delicious crumbly stuff on top. The bread part is buttery and melt in your mouth, just divine! Freshly made multiple times a day. Their pozole is 10/10 as well, my husband said he really liked the chile relleno burrito. I gave them 4 stars because some of their other pan dulce selections are not very good; a bit on the dry side. Overall I recommend this place. Their tamales seem popular and teleras, too. DO NOT ORDER A BIRTHDAY CAKE FROM HERE!!!! I had ordered a white cake here years ago, so I came to order the exact same one. Well, here I am parked outside, fuming at the fact that they made me wrong cake! If you scroll through their Yelp page, you'll see a white cake covered in almond slices and topped with fruit. We'll guess what the blond lady tried handing me? A damn chocolate Oreo cake!!! Like what?! Why???? Horrible customer service. I've come here multiple times since I moved into the area and every time I go I feel like the staff is not friendly or welcoming at all. I've noticed that if a woman is buying from this establishment the lady cashiers are very cold towards them and rude. They throw the bread into the bags and talk to other workers instead of attending the person they're checking out properly. However, when it is men (especially young men) that buy from this establishment the lady cashiers are all of a sudden very welcoming towards them. This last time I went it was during rush hour and they only have a limited amount of tongs and trays for you to get your bread. The cashier with the horrible purple lipstick started trash talking the customers. She said to everyone in the establishment "I guess people don't know how to read. Because the huge sign says to return the tongs after you use the so other people can use them too". This was honestly very rude for her to say about her customers. I have worked in a bakery before and the way they operate this bakery is not good. They don't clean or sanitize the trays and tongs between customers. This is exactly how illnesses spread. Bread trays are just pushed out from the back and left in the middle of the bakery instead of being put away in display cases. Literally if someone sneezes near the bread all of it is contaminated now. Overall I won't be coming back here unless they change the cashiers or train them to attend customers. If they don't like their job they should just quit. P.S their bread is okay. Only thing that was "worth" buying were the conchas but they charge 80¢ per concha and they are very small. About the size of my palm. There are better panaderías in the area with better bread, customer service, and prices. read more

This review is for the cake and partially the service. I personally love the cake. Not too sweet. Just perfect. They call it tres leches. Others may disagree. It was so good I bought it twice within one week for my son's birthday. A lot of reviews talk about how disappointed they were. I guess I would be too if I ordered ahead of time and expected it to be tres leches, especially if you've had really good tres leches before. I don't think it's tres leches but it's kind of close? It's moist but not drenched in milk. It may have a tendency to get dry fast, maybe even the next day or two? What I appreciate is that they have a couple cakes ready, probably for last minute customers like me. Mind you, it was a weekend. I'm not sure if they would have any sitting around in a weekday. I yelped the closest bakery, @3pm, and found this one. I called to see if they had cake and they said yeah, they had two. Her English was minor but it was good enough. I got there in less than 15 minutes and the other cake was already gone. Thankfully I bought the last one. I just wanted any cake. It was $25. Didn't matter what kind. She told me it was tres leches. I was like oooh! Good! I've been craving that anyway! It smelled amazing. I wanted to eat it before the party! I brought it to the party the next day and I ate 2&1/2 decently sized slices. I rarely ever eat cake or sweets for that matter. I freaking loved this cake! I even got a couple people telling me, this cake is so good. My Hispanic friends even asked me if it was tres leches. The service is okay. The girls don't speak a ton of English. Good thing I know basic Spanish :). Honestly, I don't expect grade A service from them, just as I don't expect Asian restaurants to have great service(I'm Asian and I know what it's like). They're hard working and mean well and are trying to make a living. Plus they provide tasty goods! That's really what counts. The second time I called early in the morning, on a week day, to ask if they had cake. They said no. I asked if they'll have one later. She called back to the kitchen and the baker said he'd have a cake by 2. I called at 3 to make sure they still had the cake before I headed over to pick it up. They said yes and I saw about 6 cakes available for pick up! Again, I loved it. My parents said it was alright. Not their thing. They have other things for sale and it smells amazing. I purchased the Chocolate and Vanilla Conchitas (.40). They were very soft and pillowy while fresh and very tasty, however the next day they were not as great. I also purchased a strawberry and cheese pastry ($1.75), it was average. Lastly I purchased a Pork, Chicken and Pepper/Cheese Tamale. The pork flavor was ok, the chicken flavor was good, and the pepper and cheese tamale flavor was spicy but decent. Though all were small and dry!
