I drove with my hazard lights on…read morefor 20 minutes to make it to this shop because I got a surprise flat tire and this was the only shop open in all of Bakersfield until 7pm. I made it into the parking lot at 6:55pm and was ignored by the three initial people I saw. I tried to understand because who comes in 5 minutes before closing but there were multiple trucks being worked on and the owners were different ethnicities than I was. I then spoke up to one of the workers and he said speak to someone in the office, the manager. I had already went into the office and no one was there but as I walked back up to the office, he came out and I asked if I could get a used tire as I just drove 20 minutes to make it. He denied me service while speaking to another customer(who wasn't my ethnicity/race) who came in after me. At this point it's 7:02pm. I begged him for a tire, didn't care the cost and he blatantly told me no and said he didn't care, because they were closed while getting tire info from the person who just pulled in. Insane!

Tony greeted me and said let's get after it. I just told him the one tire and he said no let's check them all. I usually trust the manager when they say it'll be a few minutes, but today's experience was unacceptable. I brought my car in because my front passenger tire was low at 21 PSI instead of the required 33 PSI. The staff told me it would take 5 to 20 minutes to check it out, so I decided to wait. I arrived at 8:10 AM and didn't leave until 10:25AM. Waiting two full hours for one tire check after being promised twenty minutes is disrespectful of a customer's time. The manager should have spoken to me and asked if I wanted to wait or get a ride. Also, a cup of coffee would have helped, previously the shop had a coffee set up. They removed such f on the store. It would have was ease my frustration of waiting. The only reason I gave them a star was due to my tires were still under warranty.

The parking lot is fully packed and there's hardly enough room to maneuver your cart through the crowd. It's actually a very unpleasant experience, but you go through it to get the deals and great selection that Kirkland offers. Despite the crowds, they do their very best to get you in and out. They have done their best to streamline their "self-checkout" process. However, the Costco Food Court lines are crazy long, and move at different paces based on who is attending to it. I wish they did have drink carriers, since the hot dog is a common item that is ordered and it comes with a drink. Those drinks stack up and it would be convenient to have a drink carrier to manage all of the drinks. They recently added chicken tenders to their menu, and I don't recommend them. You get 5 tenders for $6.99. They come with a Chick-Fil-A-type sauce, but it doesn't help cover just how salty the tenders are on their own. And they were extra salty! The strawberry banana smoothie also tasted very processed. I wouldn't recommend that either. I miss the classic berry smoothie they used to offer back in the day. I'll stick to the Costco hot dog deal.
