After waiting 2 1/2 hours, we were then asked if we wanted to split our party because it would be another hour before all 15 of us could be seated together. Had we been told this from the beginning, we could have made that decision ourselves instead of wasting so much time. Once we were finally seated, our server was put in an impossible situation. He was responsible for taking the orders for all 15 of us while also serving several other tables by himself. He was clearly overwhelmed, and it showed. He never asked if we wanted appetizers, and after our meals, he immediately brought the checks without ever asking if we wanted dessert. This is The Cheesecake Factory--a restaurant that is famous for its cheesecakes. Not even being offered dessert was shocking, especially after everything else we experienced. Our family absolutely wanted dessert, but we were never given the opportunity to order any. This experience was poorly managed from beginning to end. While our server did his best under difficult circumstances, the lack of planning, communication, and support from management made for a frustrating evening. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so that no other family has to go through the same experience.
