We stopped in on a Sunday evening as we were visiting the Kemah Boardwalk and needed some dinner. As vegetarians, this place was listed as having many different meal options for us, and we found this to be true! My husband and I decided to share a small Greek salad, the Pasta Aglio and the Baklava cheese. The salad and pasta were both delicious, light yet filling and plenty for the two of us to share. The salad actually had SUPER green lettuce leaves, which was such a pleasant surprise. However, the Baklava cheesecake was pretty disappointing. It was a giant piece of plain cheesecake that had toppings on it from what seemed like a piece of baklava cake. Those toppings disappeared pretty quickly and that left us with a bunch of plain cheesecake. We were expecting the baklava flavors to be swirled into the cheesecake, which is why we found this to be disappointing. The service was pretty slow, which was surprising considering it was pretty empty as it was a Sunday night. Waitress was very nice co side g how busy it got w about 30 of us in our group. We sat outside, although it was a bit chilly,it was a relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the salmon. It was tender and the sauce was delicious. The broccolini was a bit too crispy for me, but still delicious. Orzo was good, but I didn't care for the onions mixed in. It took away the taste of the orzo. I also took home baklava and the baklava cheesecake. Both were delicious. My husband doesn't normally eat cheesecake, but thought he would give this a try. This place used to be the absolute best Greek in this area. Haven't been here for a couple of years. Gyro was BLEAK - meat was not even warm, it was crispy and dry. Pita seemed really dry too, also not warm. Barely any Tzatziki on gyro, and ones we got on side, zero flavor. Mykonos grilled chicken was ok, nothing fantastic. Husband and I enjoyed ourselves on the patio! They have a large patio that is equipped for all seasons and weather conditions. They had music playing, it was not too loud either which is great to have conversations. We loved the fried pita with our delicious fire feta! Has the right amount of spice and flavor! We also had their ribeye, split that along with two Greek salads! The ribeye was cooked to perfection and our salads were fresh and crisp! Alexa was our server and she was amazing! First of all, so many people have recommended this place for crawfish. It is a different kind of flavor that we did not like at all. I guess it's an acquired taste because it's just not it for us. We also ordered the calamari , the cheese appetizer that they bring table side and put a flame to it. And my son in law got the grilled chicken sandwich. Out of everything the calamari I think was the best. Anyway we at least wanted to give it a try since a lot of people recommend it. But we won't go back. They typically have 3-6 available. The fire feta comes as a dip, in the gyro burrito, and in the Trojan Poppers, which is another very unique item. They mix the fire feta with gyro and stuff jalapeños with it. Sunday brunch is not as crowded as other places, and the omelets have unique ingredients available: gyro, jalapeño, fire feta... In general, their feta is WAY better than other places. Their boil for crawfish, crab, and shrimp is very spicy and popular. The patio is nice when the weather is to your liking. I was a visitor in the general area and needed to grab a quick lunch. Someone suggested Bakkhus Taverna so I decided to give it a try. Our table shared a hummus plate where we got veggies and pita bread. I also got the grilled chicken pita and subbed avocado for the cheese. It came with fries. Honestly everything was good. Great service and food. We came here to cool off before going to Kemah Boardwalk. The waitress was fast and attentive. I ended up settling on the Mykono sandwich, and the sweet and spicy of the jalapenos and pineapple on my chicken was heaven! The Medusa was another one we tried and came smothered in different cheeses and jalapenos for a spicy not so sweet flavor. This one was a bit more on the average side. Mykono was definitely the winner. They came with a little tin of fries on the side. I also got a great house special on the Pinot Grigio glass on this visit. The waitstaff was mediocre, not as attentive as I would have liked, we saw our waitress once for drink refills after the food drop off, the next visit was to take plates and drop off the check. I honestly love this place for their patio seating and ambiance. Once you enter the restaurant, you just feel stress free and in a completely different space. I been here only two times and both times were amazing. The service is great and both my waitresses from both times went above and beyond for us. We ordered the Greek Bar Trash which is Kalamari, Shrimp and Scallops. Grilled and Brushed with Seasoned Olive Oil and Finished with Fresh Lemon Juice. What little portion we received was tasty. I've never seen such a small portion. Prior orders have come to the table teeming with food. This plate was too embarrassing to serve. We each got about two bites and that's it.
