This place was a great surprise! Our family came here after my Uncle's funeral service. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the owner was super welcoming. The place is nice and clean, just a little dark for us since we have vision issues I don't live anywhere near here but will definitely be back! I highly recommend trying this place if you live in the area and even if you don't , it's worth the drive. I have been recommending it to other family and friends. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but open the door and enjoy old school dining and decor. The food is plentiful though it takes a while to get to the table. Found the fries a bit greasy and not crispy as if they were cooked before the oil was at temperature. The pita was also a little dry around the edges. The owner visited our table and was solicitous. read more

Wanted to eat some Mediterranean food for lunch so a coworker and I came to Olive Tree to try it out. Pretty spacious interior with a good amount of parking in front so that's always a plus. Our server was friendly and checked up on us throughout our lunch. Hummus w/Pita- the hummus was good! I never had pita flat like this so it was pretty interesting but it wasn't bad Batenjan- I'm not sure if I liked this dish. I feel like the acidity from the tomatoes were a little too overpowering and I didn't get to taste the savoriness of the dish. The Batenjan comes with a salad though so that's nice! Overall, I'd rate this place a 3.5. I'm not sure if I'd come back for lunch but I did see on the flyer that there's Belly Dancing so that's pretty neat and maybe I'd come back for that and try a different dish. read more

I was already in love with this place, but wow--the new updates and decor was amazing!!! The service was outstanding as always, it was the owners son, Dominique--he's a fabulous host. Hooked us up with the special for two that included some Lebanese red wine and it was fabulous. The special included chicken, filet mignon, and kaftan kabobs with roasted onions, tomatoes, and rice... so bomb. I always get the chicken kabobs anyhow, which are always cooked to perfection. You MUST get their hummus and baba ghanoush as appetizers and of course, what is this feast without an amazing desert? Homemade baklava of course!!! After dinner Dominique was showing us all the new renovations and took us to the new hookah lounge they made---totally awesome!!! He offered to try many different types of tequilas on the house, but if course we tipped because he was just a riot! He likes to play name that tune game with you, and he's REALLY good at stumping you even though you know the song!!! I enjoyed myself tremendously and the new ambiance is just the shiz, this place is a jewel and I'm glad I discovered it 5 years ago bc it's off the chain now! The table we sat in seemed it hasn't had a good wash in years. The food was not fresh. This place is probably breaking god knows how many health violations back there. My family tried to eat the food. I'm worried they will have food poisoning. This place needs a gordon ramsey makeover. There is zero effort put into the food. This was my first time trying this establishment as I live and work closer to Clearlake/Friendswood area. My mother brought me here for my birthday. I've had other Mediterranean restaurants but I must say this one left me feeling just right and satisfied- not too full or heavy. My go-to is the gyro or Greek salad, but I decided to step outside the box today. We ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls, pita and hummus, and bamieh. The bamieh came with a side salad as well. The food was flavorful and tasty. I was perplexed with the amount of meat that came with the dish (4 bite size pieces), but the owner (I'm assuming) came out to explain they use filet mignon with this dish (menu describes it only as beef tenderloin). I understood then why the meat was limited and would've been okay with the dish as is had it been explained earlier, but nonetheless, they did provide me with extra beef. I will be back again as I enjoyed the food I had, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff very friendly. read more

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. The service is always impeccable and the food is outstanding. We drive all the way from Pearland to eat here. The Gyro sandwich is wonderful, the Gyro salad is awesome. We enjoyed their Tabouleh and Hummus as well. The lentil soup was good as well. They even sell olive oil and olives. They approached us made weird offers such as taking them to a local hotel to provide private belly dance services. Even after we declined they got very touchy with my bf and they weren't okay with our repetitive No Thanks. Mind you we were there for Valentine's. The following day they found us on social media and continued their persistence offering private entertainment at a hotel. My family and I visited the Houston area and in the mood for Mediterranean food. I specifically was craving Falafel. Thankfully we found Olive Tree on Yelp and the reviews looked very good. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner and he immediately found us a nice booth. He was very nice and took great care of us. He said he's been in the businesses for over 40 years and it showed. We knew that we were in good hands! My wife ordered the chicken shishkabob and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the beef shishkabob as well as a Falafel plate and hummus. I wanted to try everything! Everything was so delicious and fresh. The salads were very good too! The owner also mentioned that they have Mediterranean beer which I really enjoyed. The pricing was very fair and the entire experience was fantastic! If you enjoy vibrant flavors, fresh veggies and healthy proteins, this is the place for you. I ordered the Turkish coffee and a Greek Salad with Chicken. This was more than enough food and the quality and freshness were amazing. This place is incredible!!! You have to go! The service was prompt, but not rushed. I ordered the grape leaves, Turkish coffee, eggplant and baklava. It was so good. I was full and I kept eating because it was so good I couldn't stop! The owners son is a very charismatic salesman who was kind and so much fun. The place seemed unusually quiet for the time of the day, but that didn't seem to impact our service or the food at all. I need to go back and have everything on the menu! read more

I ordered the Shish Kabob (beef) with rice. I thought about the Shish Taook (chicken) the seasoning on the Beef and the aroma when I walked in had my order already placed in my mind. The hummus came out and it was perrrrfect. The best hummus that I have ever had. Oh the Belly Dancer is Here-did I just bite my tongue? I will say that I had a hard time focusing on my food. But I madd through the hummus. In a way I want here to come up during dinner but in the other I don't- because the food is that good. My Shish Kabob was great the steak seasoned to perfection and tender. The rice hit the spot. The grilled onion, tomatoes and pepper were a perfect combination for a satisfying.
