Food is always delicious! Especially when you eat it at the restaurant (usually I take out) buts it's so much better eating there. The Customer service is great, really friendly. And fast service, we didn't have to wait that long. It's so nice and clean, and not too crowded. If you're looking for something delicious the beef kabobs and chicken are very delicious! Never had Persian food, but was very interested in trying something new and loved it! Nice quiet restaurant with great attentive staff. The bread is unlimited which I always love. We ordered the hummus and I'm not a big fan of hummus but this one was so good I couldn't stop eating it and pairs perfectly with the bread. The grilled tomatoes were delicious. Proteins were beef, chicken, and lamb shank, and overall I enjoyed everything pretty well the price was great. Would come back to try the other dishes ! read more

Disappointing and mediocre. Expected much better from this usual standout (Rice Village location). Having a longtime family restaurant background, I should have known better as soon as I walked in the door. Location has a modestly run-down ambiance to it. Service was listless at best. You don't expect a Rumi's or Garson's experience of course at Kasra, but should have been much better. Bijan's and Reza on Hillcroft are vastly better than this location. Kebabs were fair; Greek salad combo poor. Gormeh not bad but could not make up for the poor ambiance and very modest food quality and preparation. You can do far better; as a restaurant, they certainly should. read more

Website ordering is up and running thank you for that (fyi folks even with coupons etc it's still cheaper to order off their website rather than uber or DoorDash) Totally redeemed. Super easy to order additional instructions were taken care of except one small part where I asked that the a la carte items be placed separate bag along with the remainder of the request. (Which is the only reason I did 4 stars instead of 5) Food was great this time around for sure. Piping hot delivery perfectly cooked (chicken barg was a little dry but considering it's catered and delivered it's not too big a deal and to be expected honestly) but they were actually great. My husband and I just visited Kasra for a late lunch, the place is clean with a nice atmosphere. The waiter was very helpful and respectful. As we sat down we were given bread and a little salad with feta, wonderful homemade bread! We started with hummus, it came pretty quick and it was delicious, very creamy and nice tahini flavor, perfect with their bread. We shared a Jejuh, this is a very special dish, is a whole cornish hen they marinate for 24 hours, it was juicy, and super flavorful, with a side of white basmati rice super fluffy. Our plan was to try another dish but we got pretty stuffed in the best way possible, and we will definitely go back to try some more dishes! read more

This restaurant has lots of good things for me to say about it. It has the creamiest hummus I've ever had before, and it's very tasty. The main course was wonderful and they gave me so much that I brought lots of leftovers home. The only thing that stole one of its stars is that the Westchase location is better than the Clear Lake location. My very favorite dish at Westchase is the fesenjan, but they don't have it at the Clear Lake restaurant, and I don't know why they don't think people eating in Clear Lake deserve fesenjan. read more

Jujeh: 24 hour marinated cornish hen, so freaking tender. I love the splash of acidity in the marinade. This was a very unique kabob. Highly recommend! Portions are huge. The grilled tomatoes are delicious. The rice was a bit dry, though. Kubideh: The beef tastes average to below average. It kind of just tastes like average hamburger meat. Portions are also huge for this one I appreciated the complimentary pita bread and condiments at the beginning. The bread tasted great. Went well with the mint/feta/parsley. Service was excellent. Came here with my mom for lunch, I enjoyed the salmon and the hummus. The chicken dish we also got was not my fave but not bad! The naan that came out to dip our hummus was cold and hard. The tap water tasted not good so I had to get a soda which I typically don't drink! But I'd come back for the salmon and hummus alone ! What a lovely lunch spot. The food was good, but the chicken kabobs was definitely better than the beef kubideh. Portions were great! The naan appetizer was light and good. The feta was amazing! Adding the oil/vinegar to the rice made it more flavorful. The decor was bright and beautiful. The service was prompt and friendly. I was happy there was a changing table in the women's bathroom! There was only one stall, and the table was in it, but at least it was available. After visiting NASA, we were famished on a hot Sunday afternoon. I saw this place close by and decided to try it out. We were promptly seated by the owner. As soon as we sat down, we were offered feta, radish and some herbs to munch on. We started by ordering hummus. The pita bread was soft and pillowy. Hummus was okay, but I was pleasantly surprised with an extra helping of pita bread. We ordered garlic butter shrimp, chicken kebab and beef/chicken kubideh combo. Shrimp with rice was spectacular. Best garlic Hummus I've ever tasted in my life! I enjoy the chicken barg as it is my go-to dish. Best place for Persian food, the inside of the establishment is very pretty and decorative and the servers are kind and friendly. Kasra is located in Webster, across from NASA Johnson Space Center. There is plenty of parking spaces available and it is handicap accessible. The inside of the restaurant gives a flare of a modern cafe with portraits of Persian calligraphy nicely hung on the walls. There is plenty of seating available for both short and large groups. I went to Kasra for an early dinner in mood for some Persian kabobs. The server brought a small plate of some fresh salad (mint, freshly plucked parsley leaves and a few pieces of cheese). I ordered a lentil soup as an appetizer while still making up my mind on what I want to eat. The soup was brought right away with a pita bread and tasted okay. Before I made up my mind on what I wanted to order, I noticed that there isn't any sign either on the menu or in the restaurant that tells the customer who are in for halal food that it is served there. In fact , I noticed that there wasn't any halal' sign on the main door either. When I asked the server if the food is halal, she pointed to a chicken item on the menu which she said wasn't halal but everything else was. I was a little confused and went over to ask the guy standing behind the register if they serve halal food. He told me that they do. When I asked him, that I don't see any sign of it either on the menu or anywhere else in his restaurant, he told me that he doesn't want to advertise it. Since I was in mood for some kabobs at a halal eatery, I paid my dues and left the place. I don't think I'll be coming to this place for halal food. I think it's a case of false advertisement in yelp where it shows up as a halal restaurant. read more

It's been a year since the last time I was here with my girlfriends. I'm with my family tonight for a last minute dine out decision (I'm so tired and have no energy to cook at home). I'm glad we came. It's just how I remembered it. That fresh baked warm naan dipped in garlicky humus is just delish. I swear I could've stopped right there and that could've been my entree. Everything we ordered - from the chicken kabobs to the lamb shank soup to the lentil soup and humus - they're ALL delicious. And the servings are HUGE we ended up having 4 to-go boxes for all of us! And might I add - the servers here are the BEST! I don't remember when the last time I've seen servers who are not only attentive to our needs and quick to fill our glasses with water, but they seriously look like they're HAPPY to be there. :) Whoever is running this business must be treating them well because it shows on how they treat their customers! read more

This is my second time ordering from this place, and today will be my last. I ordered the chicken sultani and substituted the rice for a persian salad. The salad was missing, and there was no rice. I called the restaurant, and the gentleman that answer was very rude. Saying he added the salad to my order. The order was Uber Eats, and he said maybe the driver took it. The bag was sealed, and the pictures show what I received. I do not wish to give my business to places that will treat you like you got the food for free. Getting very loud with be and being so rude. We were told to have a seat when we came in, and were given one menu for the table, I guess. So we just passed that around. It took a while to get drinks and our food, but I won't knock them for it because there was only older gentleman manning the register and taking orders to the kitchen. The food wasn't particularly amazing or anything. The fresh bread was good, as was the feta, but we didn't touch the herbs. I thought everything was quite under seasoned, and there was no salt or pepper on any of the tables. I saw a woman from another table actually ask for hot sauce, and I asked for garlic sauce, something most places have, but they did not. Pretty disappointed in the food, unfortunately. The saving grace was that it appears to be clean and the restrooms were clean as well. Overall if I was in the area and hungry, I'm thankful that there are halal options nearby and would go, but please, take this as constructive criticism and offer seasoning and garlic sauce to make food more palatable. Delicious food and outstanding service. We had so many people checking on us that I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant. This is a great place to go for people who are gluten free. I asked for lettuce leaves to scoop up my hummus and they obliged. My party had kebabs with perfectly cooked salmon, barg(?) marinated chicken, and beef filet. The rice that had dill was so good. Came here after visiting clear lake masjid for jummah. This was the closest halal place we could find near the masjid and we are unfamiliar with the area. The place was nice and clean and servers were very sweet. They give complimentary bread and as much as you want. Best part was that the bread tasted really good and fresh. We ordered the family kabob platter and it was so much food for the 7 of us. Kabobs were juicy and tender and had great flavor. We had three types of rice served which was nice.
