Amazing salon shop! I was on Yelp, looking for affordable hair salons and this came up my feed. I live 40 mins from Saratoga, but this salon is worth the drive :) This salon is different because: 1. They offer drinks + snacks (free for some things like water, coffee & tea, and I think u have to pay for snacks) 2. Free slippers & you wear a robe- they take you to the bathroom where you can put on a robe or slippers to feel comfy 3. The decor is so cute! Lots of space with flowers & other decorations :) 4. They have email deals! My haircut/shampoo+conditioner/style is originally $95 but it was $75 with the email deals! I have Alison for my hairstylist, but it seems everyone is knowledgeable at this salon! Each hairstylist charges for different prices. Larry and Brandon were such a pleasure to be around. The stylists were beyond respectful and welcoming. I loved the creative decor in the salon and how clean it was. We had cute robes/capes to wear for our service and our own lockers for our belongings. I asked Larry for highlights with air touch and to add dimension+darken my hair without too much bleach. my hair has been somewhat compromised from all of the bleaching and I needed his help transitioning out of my un dimensional baby lights. He mentioned I would benefit from a k18 treatment service; which I went with. I definitely needed it. we went over my inspo pic to make sure it was realistic and I communicated my need to go easy on the lightener. In the past previous stylists would rebleach my ends but instead Larry helped me feel good about my decision and explained the process step by step. I trusted his experience from his explanation alone. He then added dimension back into my hair piece by piece next to the hair being lightened; foil by foil. Before he toned my hair he double checked exactly what shade I wanted and went over the tones with me. Lupe helped me wash my hair and gave a mean head massage (I really needed that.) When Lupe and Larry blow dried my hair I was beyond happy. My hair looked soooo much better. Larry really took care of me and gave every strand of hair attention and detail he had. I had my balayage done with Grace, a Bal-Lance Jr, and she consulted with Brandon throughout the whole process. I am extremely happy with the outcome! I told her that I wanted to add some dimension to my hair but wanted something that is maintenance and non damaging to my hair. Through inspiration pictures and communicating via instagram, she executed my vision really well with all my personalization in mind. I wanted a "chocolately gold" balayage that blended nicely with my black hair. While the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the stylist who worked on my color kept remarking on how many strands I had, saying it at least ten times. After attending a wedding and washing my hair for the first time since the appointment, I noticed that my hair felt weighed down and moisture seemed to linger. I couldn't run my fingers through it at all, and this issue only started after I visited the salon. A few days later, I realized the color was extremely uneven. I paid a decent amount for the service and a generous tip and reached out to provide feedback. They invited me back to the salon, but I really don't want to go back. My long hair is now a tangled mess, and I'm experiencing significant hair fall. The different shades from the coloring look terrible. I have no idea what products they used, but it has seriously damaged my hair quality, which wasn't great to begin with. I'm now considering cutting my hair short as a solution. I did receive a hair appointment to do baby lights and I asked for my roots to be platinum as well since I had previous work done that got me to a platinum. Very disappointed and upset that I was confirmed for an appointment offered to me for a dimensional balayage. I've sent in all the pictures for references and what I asked for to see if they would be able to accommodate me. Their Yelp scheduler mentioned the Team Lead Jass would be able do the pictures I sent in for reference and so I asked to be confirmed for 4pm. She then said I was confirmed and sent me the directions of where to go and park. Parking is very difficult and I had already mentioned that I may be a few minutes behind the scheduled time due to being new the area. The exchange was smooth and time including service requested was confirmed. Arrived to a very awkward encounter of no friendliness or any gesture of being welcoming since I was a little lost of where their entrance was. I came in and confirmed my appointment to only have them tell that there was an issue with the exchange of what I wanted for my service, which I know was very clear and to the point. And that whomever was going to do my service, whether it was Jass the Team Lead or the gal outside sitting on her phone that the front desk rep was speaking with, they would only be able to do a partial balayage to the top of my head only, in which they would highlight or make brighter, but the rest of my hair, from bottom to the tips of my hair would remain the same color. Which wouldn't make any sense because the tips and bottom of my hair were a darker brown and would make my hair something I don't even want. Offering half a service in which wouldn't even look nice or finished to say the least, if I left the salon because it would honestly look different as a whole... just to make a quick dollar is so selfish and honestly disrespectful. I will not be returning in the future and I do not recommend anyone to come here. Save your money and time going elsewhere. read more
