Pastries (double-baked croissant and mixed-berry danish) were excellent, too. The Danish in particular was full of real fruit, and sweet and juicy without being a sugar bomb. Staff was friendly; owner, too, when he arrived. Had a great chat with the owner. Lots of regular's. I think I and 1 other were first-timers. Most of the folks in and out during the 2 1/2 hours I was there were known. It means something when folks come back, and they had a lot of them. Dark-ish, quiet, but not too dark for reading. If I'm ever in that area again, I'll be back.
