My sister and I popped by here before a show at Cambridge Theatre because the menu looked pretty decent and there were available seats. But we were disappointed on all counts.
There appeared to be only one waiter working the entire restaurant while there were two or three bartenders. It took quite awhile for us to get our menus and, despite being assured the food would be prepared quickly because of our show, food. At the end of the meal, we ended up having to approach the host ourselves for the bill because there were no waiters out on the floor for about five to ten minutes and other staff members didn't even look over the floor to see if anyone needed anything.
As to the food itself, we ordered the arancini small plate, the sautéed kale side and the summer squash lasagna. What was not made clear on the menu was that the summer squash - very hard and only somewhat cooked - was used instead of lasagna pasta. Essentially, the dish was layers of the bolognese and sauce separated by undercooked squash slices topped with hard cheese, overall unappetizing with an off-putting flavor. The sautéed kale was also undercooked, essentially salad, and the arancini lacked flavor, although was otherwise unobjectionable.
