Traveling from out of state found this little gem. Amazing coffee and even more amazing danish! If you don't like coffee just go for the pastries!

Stopped in at Bald Monkey Beanery since I was in the area, and got a 20 oz mocha. After the last few weeks of $7+ downtown drinks, the price was refreshing. The selection here is pretty massive too. Tasty drink, could taste the mocha and it was smooth and just a little creamy without being too sweet, and the folks behind the counter asked if I wanted whipped cream, which I appreciated (I never want it). They were unfortunately out of baked goods, I would have liked to try an almond croissant. It's a little small on the inside, just a few tables, and a few seats outside too I think? Good coffee at a reasonable price from a locally owned place will always put a smile on my face, and Bald Monkey Beanery wins here. Staff on Sunday afternoon was very friendly and service was quick. By now, everyone should know that I love coffee. I was excited when I saw this place. The lady in the drive-through was very friendly and said that they were training so it was gonna take a little longer than expected. I did end up ordering a iced buttered pecan oat milk latte with toffee cold foam. Now flavor wise it was a good drink but coffee wise it was very weak. I think she said that they put one shot of espresso in a small. So maybe think about getting two for a stronger taste of coffee.

Another successful coffee order at Bald monkey. This was a real treat. The service was very fast and the drive thru is convenient if you don't want to get out. I will forever be a fan of this coffee.

I came across this coffee shop as I was driving to a meeting. They were super fast in the drive thru, there were three cars ahead of me and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. I ordered an ice coffee with almond milk and an almond croissant. They were both pretty good! Worth the stop!

    Salted toffee something?

I'll be back to give it another try. I'm not sure what happened but I asked if they have Frozen blended coffee drinks. The service was kind of meh so I didn't get much feedback on what they were. I asked if I just pick a flavor or how it works and they said yes. So I picked salted toffee. I'm pretty sure I was given blended ice, milk and syrup by the taste and color. The syrup flavor was good, but not at all what I went out there for. I kept sipping, wondering if I'm going crazy but I'm pretty sure there wasn't coffee. The shop itself looked cute from the outside.

Love this local, veteran owned coffee shop. It's such a cozy atmosphere inside. They have the best coffees and Lattes ranging from a variety of flavors. They also have Pastries, croissants, and muffins that sourced from a local Charleston bakery. The croissants and danishes are massive so make sure you come hungry. The customer service is always on point. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for serving the local Goose Creek area with quality coffee and food!!

    Awesome cappuccino and Cruller.

Phenomenal! The atmosphere is always welcoming and comfortable. The owners are super sweet and engaging. Always happy to talk to you and make your day. The food is tasty, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. I love the iced caramel macciatto paired with a warm chocolate crossaint or a warm cheese danish. It's definitely a hidden gem in Goose Creek,SC worth supporting if you're ever passing through! I would choose them over Starbucks without hesitation.

One…read morething I always appreciate right off the bat is that they offer an outdoor patio that's pet-friendly -- huge bonus for anyone who likes to bring their pup along for coffee runs. This visit was a drive-thru order for us. They did let us know they were pretty busy, which is totally understandable, but I will say the wait was a bit on the longer side before we got our drinks. As for the coffee itself -- my husband ordered a decaf latte with tiramisu syrup, and unfortunately the flavor fell a little flat. He mentioned it tasted very weak overall, and the tiramisu didn't really come through at all. I ordered a decaf latte with cookie dough syrup. Mine was decent -- the coffee itself tasted good -- but similar to his, the syrup flavor didn't quite match what I expected. It didn't really give that cookie-dough taste, just a light sweetness. Price-wise, it came to just under $15 for one medium decaf latte and one large decaf latte with syrups, which feels pretty fair for specialty coffee drinks. Overall, not a bad stop -- especially if you're looking for a pet-friendly coffee spot with a patio -- but I do wish the flavored syrups had been a bit stronger and more true to taste. I'd be open to trying them again and exploring other flavors on the menu.

They also have delicious pastries, and I recommend their red velvet cinnamon roll. I liked their indoor seating area, where I got some work done; the noise level was decent and not distracting. My only feedback is that the drive thru could be managed better. A barista was attending to us at one point at the drive thru window and later forgot us... Another stepped in and asked if we had been helped yet, which we hadn't. Otherwise, it's a great coffee shop in Goose Creek!

We ordered the chai latte, cold brew with caramel and oat milk, and a slice of earl grey carrot cake. We added sweet coconut cold foam to both drinks. I was astonished to pay $19 for those 2 drinks and another $8 for a very small slice of cake. Chai latte- Found it to be okay...nothing super special about it. Cold brew- It reminded me of this specific sesame grain drink with barely any coffee taste. Could not finish. Carrot cake- It was moist and the frosting was good. No part of it tasted like earl grey imo. I would skip on the sweet coconut cold foam as it barely provides sweetness to your drink, which in turn, is not worth the additional cost. Overall, it was a nice place to cool down and the atmosphere was alright. The interior is aesthetic and well designed. Coffee is not really special and cake is good. Wallet may shed a tear.

What follows is the marching orders to all other places doing the same thing. Give me a McDonalds with from the 80s with an exterior that dared to be unique, not part of the 1984 (read the book) agenda. This brings me to Summit coffee; I absolutely hate the exterior. Devoid of life, soul and any unique presence. However, I'm not really here to write about a drab exterior but coffee! Let's go inside, shall we? Summit coffee establishment is located is on the outskirts of Nexton proper, easily accessible by foot and with a sterile atmosphere. One oddity I noticed is the place doesn't smell of coffee, which I found interesting. Sadly the inside is as lifeless as outside. It looks like a they paid a cleaner to remove all vestiges of life while only leaving a spec here or there to meet a quote. Ok, enough with aesthetics as I've complained enough, The staff is quick to help out and offer good suggestions when they're asked. Being a former comedian, I tried to whip up some jokes to compensate for my utter boredom, the ladies were nice enough to laugh. Needless to say, the women here had a heart. They made good suggestions but I was curious why their pastry display only had like a handful of items, did they make them or get them from the grocery store? I don't know but I was only here for coffee. I did like some of the creativity - a banana creampie latte - sounds like something.... Nevermind but all props for creativity. Birthday cake latte didn't sound good for the waistline but another attempt at creativity - I love it! But I opted to go for my own flavor. A lack of options for addins, I mean literally no hazelnut, almond etc. Well, I did the best I could - Latte with 2 shots caramel and 1 vanilla. I can honestly say it was "mid" at best. The roast didn't resonate while the lack of options made it feel so generic like I couldn't play the part of an evil scientist mixing a crazy concoction. But it beats McDonalds. Oh, they do have "the world's best granola" which I made several jokes about, even encouraging other customers by saying "if you were in France and ordered granola, they would talk about Summit's granola, after all it's the world's best!" Yes, I was being the overfriendly annoying customer, b/c I was bored. At least there were some laughs. Sadly, there's nothing about Summit that stands out. I hate saying that for local businesses but I want to be authentic. Stop by if .... Well, I'm not sure why so just stop by, I guess.
