    Medium Latte
    Nishant N.

I wanted morning coffee, so I searched for local coffee shops in Charleston and found Charleston Coffee Exchange. I went there. The coffee shop had a beautiful and welcoming ambiance. I discussed fan favorite coffee options with the server and ordered a medium latte. My to-go order was ready in 10 minutes. The coffee was well made, tasted amazing, and the perfect way to start my morning. The beans were freshly roasted, which added to the flavor.

Cute coffee shop! Decided to try something new & glad I did! It was busy for 9am on a Saturday but line moved quickly. They have a great selection of drinks & pastries. I went with an Americano and GF banana bread. Both were good! They do have a couple other GF pastry options for those who need a GF snack! Service was friendly & price is great! Ample parking & some outside seating.

Always a pleasure coming here. Friendly, fast and the best I was craving my hot mocha and a croissant with egg and cheese. Both came out perfectly. My doggie got a pup cup and had the hookup (thank you!). She was so happy with her pup cup and finished it quicker than she would from any other coffee shop. I'll be back again and again and again

I feel super lucky to have Charleston Coffee Exchange in my backyard! The staff are always super welcoming and friendly. I love coming here to buy fresh roasted whole beans for my espresso machine at home and the staff are always so knowledgeable with recommendations for what beans to use. Their lattes and coffee selection are also fairly priced. The pastry selection varies but have yet to buy a pastry I didn't enjoy. They also have tons of table and chairs to come work or hang with your friends. Such a nice cozy spot overall!

Super cute coffee shop with plenty of seating indoor and out! The staff was really friendly. Lots of coffee choices - iced, hot, or frozen. Tea, lemonade, smoothies, pastries, and some breakfast sandwiches. we absolutely loved the lemon blueberry scone, and the honey latte

My regular. Staff is awesome and friendly, and I love their seasonals. The coffee is genuine in flavor and taste, everything enjoyable from their selection of brews, chais, and signature honey latte. They have pastries as well as breakfast sandwiches they make until noon. Seating and outlets are limited and a little busy on the weekends. The whole place is decorated end-to-end with their big variety of different grinds including their "perfect pot" grinds you can buy for a single brew at home to test if it's your thing.

The coffee cake was amazing and reasonably priced. The lemonade was also great but a little too sweet. The people taking the order were very nice and served us promptly. I feel like this location could be more cozy and inviting but I will gladly go back!

I finally found my oasis on Ashly River Road! CCE serves up great coffee and baked snacks in a comfy setting. I stopped in around 4, so the place wasn't busy, and I thought it'd be a nice spot to hang out with my cappuccino. CCE's got a ton of coffee choices, lots of packaged coffee to buy, and a great vibe. Give it a try.

Loved coming into this coffee shop during the holidays. Staff were very polite and the coffee was amazing! Would recommend to anyone! They also had really cool gift ideas for anyone on your list! Thank you for a positive experience!!

This is one of my favorite local coffee places. The staff is great, the coffee is delicious, the space is cozy and relaxing. I know this review is short in comparison to a lot, but you should really just come try it for yourself. Trust me me. You'll like it.

I liked this place. They have really good homemade "pop tarts". The berry filling and icing were so good, make sure you ask for it warmed up. I got their honey latte and it was pretty good. I had never tried one before but liked it. My friend got the s'mores latte and she really liked it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of parking.

We ordered the chai latte, cold brew with caramel and oat milk, and a slice of earl grey carrot cake. We added sweet coconut cold foam to both drinks. I was astonished to pay $19 for those 2 drinks and another $8 for a very small slice of cake. Chai latte- Found it to be okay...nothing super special about it. Cold brew- It reminded me of this specific sesame grain drink with barely any coffee taste. Could not finish. Carrot cake- It was moist and the frosting was good. No part of it tasted like earl grey imo. I would skip on the sweet coconut cold foam as it barely provides sweetness to your drink, which in turn, is not worth the additional cost. Overall, it was a nice place to cool down and the atmosphere was alright. The interior is aesthetic and well designed. Coffee is not really special and cake is good. Wallet may shed a tear.

It was so good I had to go back! The Brunch bowl is what I order both times ( I wish I tried something else) and the "grit balls" were delicious. Service was fast and prompt even with a full house. And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. She seemed to really enjoy her position and kept order in the kitchen. Food was delicious if I haven't already said so, so much flavor, a Carolina quality kinda spot! The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.
