There's not much seating but I don't think people come here to sit but they definitely come here first the yummy goodness. We let other customers ahead as we gazed at everything. We preordered a cronut sampler box after missing out a few times (I'm so bad with remembering preorder dates)! This weeks flavors were banana cream, ube, peach brulee, and key lime. Ordering online was a breeze and I checked before we left on where I was going so I knew what to look for! The gentleman working the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was tempted to get another few doughnuts to try their "regular" ones but I controlled my urges and stuck with the cronuts. I'll definitely be back to check out the selection. The cronuts are exactly what I hoped for - insanely flakey, tons of filling, perfectly crispy but soft in the center. All of the flavors were well described and they portions are pretty sizeable! What I love about the donuts is he does not use any soybean oil....he fries in beef tallow ...and the owner doesn't like things with soy. The original donut connection will say "permanently closed" on Apple Maps due to the unit being a different restaurant but you'll find that the donuts are located inside the Philly Cheesesteak restaurant of the same plaza at the corner unit. I was in the mood for mochi donuts or cronuts but the cronuts already sold out for the day and there's a backorder on the ingredients to make the mochi donut. Nevertheless, I wasn't going to leave empty handed so chose the apple cider donut, lemon filled, and was hoping for a maple donut to which the gentlemen freshly glazed some!! They have a selection of donuts that are ready to be frosted and sprinkled so next time I'll speak up to see what else they can glaze bc I didn't want to hold up the line any longer. I'd wanted to try this place for a long time but it's a bit of a drive from my place. Since I had to be in the area, perfect time to order. Definitely order ahead of time! They are super busy and favorites go fast. First, the sign on the outside says Philly Cheesesteak so maybe that is what was previously in location. Easy to get in and out of parking lot. My first thought entering the shop was holy cow they need to clean the entrance. They have so much equipment and supplies crammed into their shop. They honestly could concentrate on a few flavors and not try to be all things to all people. Compared to other shops, their prices are reasonable. I preordered Strawberry & cream croissant, cinnamon roll and lemon filled paczki. The flavors were everything people have raved about. My favorite was the croissant...not too sweet, pastry was flaky with the perfect amount of crunch. Strawberries were fresh and the cream was delicious. Very much a hole in the wall donut shop! My fiancée was excited to see pork roll was on the menu so we had to give it a try (she's from New Jersey). I was very excited to taste the amazing donuts I see all over the Facebook page! The service was great. The pork roll would have been better if it was on a bagel instead of the sourdough. The person who took our order informed us he was running a little behind today and apologized. Sourdough was all they had at the moment. I think for the pork roll, egg & cheese with ketchup, salt & pepper, the sourdough just got soggy very quickly BUT the quality of ingredients & the amount of stuff on the sandwich was perfect. Defines get what you pay for! It was not skimpy in any way. I also enjoyed the apple fritter. This place is just delightful! The building has no signage for donuts at all--you'd think you're walking into a Philly cheesesteak place. But then you walk in and there's a donut case staring at you! This is the only place I know that sells Mochinut. The whole experience is delightfully quirky, but then there are the actual donuts--which are delicious. I got an assorted selection and had trouble deciding which to eat! We bought them and headed to the beach, enjoying them along the way. The people here are also great--super friendly. I heard about this doughnut place online, online they call themselves, Mrs. Doughnut. The doughnuts look very delicious online; however, the the place is a train wreck inside. My first time in the store I saw a woman carrying an infant around on her shoulder, very nice lady, but she looked busy with her infant. There were hardly any doughnuts on the rack to sell; however, the owners claimed they run out of doughnuts fast. Secondly, the kitchen looked a total mess!! They had their kids running around out front playing, and nothing wrong with that, it's just that everything looked unprofessional. The doughnut shop had another name other than Mrs. Doughnut, they had a name on their building called Doughnut Connection. I'm a retired Food Service Military Officer that inspected kitchens. I don't care how good the doughnuts taste here, I won't and don't buy from anyplace that isn't organized and doesn't appear to focus on cleanliness. I didn't buy anything and will not go back. This is a tough review to write. The doughnuts I had here were pretty good, and definitely they had a few interesting options like donuts made with mochi. But virtually none of the basics were available and I was here at 9 AM on a Saturday. The place is so very strange, it's also a pizza shop or deli of some sort? It has tables inside but it's a train wreck, no way are you sitting down; they had a drink cooler that was empty. And the kitchen looks like pure chaos, and frankly I saw the tubs of donut toppings totally uncovered and the whole area was covered in splatter from it, which was bad enough but I saw a few flies in there too and all I could think of was these flies being all over the donut toppings. The staff was super nice and I liked my donuts, they were the puffy, not cakey, variety. Coffee claims to be the best in the world, it was basic gas station coffee which is actually pretty fine, it wasn't acidic, but it wasn't very flavorful either. If this place got their kitchen together and just spent a day organizing the place, picking up, cleaning up, etc. it would go a long way to making it feel more comfortable, and the other way to get to the full fix stars is to expand the menu to include staples like glazed and jelly filled and custard filled. We visited this shop probably a week after Hurricane Deb. This is my kind of donut shop - a hole in the wall in the best way possible. Apparently they had missed their supplies shipment therefore had a very limited selection of donuts. Let me be honest - I was not excited about any flavors they had at the time. I think I got a maple, a lemon, and a Boston? Those are just not my top pick. As a donut diva, I had to give them a fair chance, you know, for research. The flavors were spot on, not overly sweet or tart. The filling to donut ratio was perfection. The star of the show was the donut itself. The dough was perfectly sweet and the texture was dense enough for my liking. I steer toward cake donuts versus pillowy donuts, and these were perfection in my mind. Oh my gosh y'all have to try this !! Did a little online shopping and ended up ordering a filled king cake online. Totally forgot to pick it up , called to apologize and ask about rescheduling. The baker ended up delivering this king cake to me- HOT and fresh. The smell is divine. Hubby recently discovered cronuts and decided they are his new favorite pastry so I Googled up where to have some delivered for his birthday. I was up and had the Doordash order in an hour and a half before they opened. That's the way to do it, because when the order was dropped off the food and coffee was hot, fresh, and delicious. My cortado was a bit sweet because I didn't know they automatically sweeten it, but it was tasty and got my morning started right. The classic New York bagel was perfect: nice lox, big slabs of cream cheese, capers, and what I think was pickled red onion because something had a wonderful sweet flavor that made it extra special. It was huge and filling! The sausage, egg, and cheese muffin sandwich was also enormous and delicious. The cinnamon roll was fresh and soft and as big as my head! I think it has golden raisins, some little tangy-sweet bits of fruit. It was so good I kept tearing pieces off throughout the day and eventually conquered it. The fabled cronuts, the reason we were there (or, rather, they were here), were all he had hoped: light, buttery, crisp, fluffy, and sweet, a perfect birthday breakfast with some fresh home-brewed Puerto Rican coffee. read more

I have never been in here before but have seen locations in other areas. I decided to stop in with my daughter on the way to an appointment in Monck's Corner. We got in around 930 and were promptly greeted by the lady behind the counter. There weren't very many donuts left in the case (at 930am on a Tuesday!) which shows that they are very popular. Thankfully they had one strawberry sprinkle donut left, which Nora had been asking for the whole car ride over. (The lady behind the counter said they could have prepared her one if needed- so that was VERY nice). I got a vanilla buttercream filled donut that was topped with chocolate and sprinkles. Both donuts and a chocolate milk cost me less than five bucks, so that's a win in my book. The donuts were fluffy and definitely fresh. They tasted fantastic. I can't wait to get in and try some others they had. The flavors varied from plain to intricate and common flavors to new ones I hadn't thought of before. The storefront was small but quaint. It has a few tables, highchairs and booster seats. My only complaint is they don't have a bathroom. They directed me to the restaurant next door, which was fine- until I walked in and immediately walked back out after seeing the bathroom. Usually I don't worry about these things, but having a kid it's sort of important. NO worries- it won't stop me from returning! read more

I've only managed to get donuts here once (kinda far from home) but the second time I went (which was today,) they were closed although their hours online say open until 8pm. Got there around 6pm and it was closed. Nonetheless, the donuts are very good. I happened to get some that were freshly made and they were excellent, but I could tell the difference between those and others that had sat there all day. I'm new to Goose Creek and was excited to find out there's a donut spot 5 minutes from my house! With workers coming today, I grabbed a dozen donuts first thing this morning and treated myself to a latte. Pros: Interesting and creative donut flavors like maple bacon and froot loops. Donuts are cakey and delicious. Perfect amount of frosting/glaze and perfect size. They're pro-mask and still requiring social distancing (yay!!). Staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: I wish the donuts trays were labeled, as the poor girl had to repeat to each customer what the flavors were. I also wish they had oat or coconut milk for the coffee. I'm lactose intolerant so I got almond milk, but my sister is allergic to almonds so she won't be able to order a coffee there. Not huge detractors, but would be nice to have. I've already started planning my treats for the next time I'm there - need to check it all out before I decide which is my favorite, right? read more

5 stars because that was the best apple fritter that I have had since moving to SC. There are not great mom and pop donuts here - just mostly crappy chain donuts. Although this fritter is as big as a medium pizza - there is no reason why it has to be so big.. but it was DELICIOUS... The raised donuts are very good - chocolate glazed, maple bar... YUM!!! The sour cream (old fashion) was great. Boston cream was filled with real cream and not whipping cream. Glad to have found these place. Now, this may sound weird but some of the donuts were a bit too sweet. I think this is a SC thing. They could cut the sugar a bit and these babies would still be so good. ;) try them. Get there early and beware - there is some staffing issues so hours are unpredictable. Worth it. read more
