I fully expected to pay for that in addition to the cost of inspection. Apparently the wiring was loose so I was not charged. In today's environment that level of honesty is extraordinary. It's a major brand tire sold under the Pep Boys name which adequate for daily use. We had an 815 o'clock appointment and we were taken in promptly. Our car was ready by 10:45. The front desk personnel were pleasant and very helpful especially Frank. We believe the price for the Pennsylvania state inspection and for the tire replacement were good. Bottom line is that I've known a lot of mechanics in my life. Some were good, some were not so good. You tend to want to keep going to the ones you trust because they can be hard to find. I've always trusted Buddy. He's an honest, straight shooter who will tell you exactly what you need to have done. He's not out to upsell you or to get you for more than what you need. When I got home I could smell something burning under my car. I called the local Ford dealer (who has been servicing my vehicle for 10 years). They told me they were too busy and could schedule me the next Friday (a week away). They had inspected my vehicle in July and apparently didn't check the brakes! I did and found one more professional, more knowledgeable, and perform an over better job. I would rather walk before taking my car back to this shop for repairs.
