Gave this place another chance, years later. Food is good. BUT their customer service has not improved. I ordered 1 large order of wings and an order of potato wedges for pick up. 20 minutes later I pick up what happens to be 2 orders of potato wedges and no wings. I called to let them know. I want to give a special shout out to "Monica", the Manager of Baldwin Park Pizza Company, and another associate (I never got her name, but wanted to give her a special shout out too!), for going above and beyond to help me with a phone issue I was having, trying to call in an order. I have been ordering from BPPC since the the late 90s-early 2000s, and I have been craving their Antipasto salad and rib tips lately, as well as their fried green beans & pickles, with Ranch dressing, Spinach Lasagne & Roast Beef sandwich with Au Jus! Also their "Papa's Special" Calzone! I messaged them on their Facebook page, since I couldn't seem to get through to them on their phone, and Monica was kind enough to call my cellphone and take my order for me. I am sick at the moment, so I asked for "contactless delivery", due to the fact that I most likely am infected with Covid-19, and didn't want to infect anyone, so she took my order over the phone, texted me a copy of my receipt to my phone, and not only was my (difficult, picky! A lot of reviews say this is the best pizza they ever had, for me I can't say the same thing. It was good but not the best I ever had. My boyfriend is from the area and he used to eat here all the time and said its good pizza so finally I tried it. I wanted a variety of things to try so I ordered the pepperoni pizza, potato wedges, the fiery chicken tenders and the fried mac n cheese things. The pizza was good, but not the best. Someone mentioned in a review to skip the potatoes but I love fries/wedges so I got them and they were crispy, my favorite. I only got the chicken tenders because my boyfriend loves tenders. The fried mac n cheese triangle things were good too. I did a pick up order, they said it will be ready in 20-25 minutes, this was on a Sunday. I got there 25 minutes after I placed the call and my order was waiting on me. The girl at the front was friendly. I think she was training someone else because they seemed confused on what the girl was telling her. I would have to say I would order and eat here again. It's just not the best pizza I ever had. This place has some great stuff to offer. They are generous on all the toppings you want on your pizza. If you can, check out the value combos, they usually offer you a boat load for like $20. Hands down the best pizza I have had. I agree I haven't had every pizza known to man but this place is definitely number one on my list. The pizza is always fresh, with fresh ingredients. The sauce is great, not too thick and not too thin. Pizza is thick with toppings that don't make you squint on the extra cost. Most places I ask for "a shit load of mushrooms" (yes literally to emphasize my desire) and I will get like literally three little pieces of mushroom on each slice or less, BUT NOT HERE! They pack the pizza with just enough toppings so you're not fighting the neighbouring slice for that pepperoni that is hanging off the side of it. This place has recently upgraded from it's previous location which i am glad to see because they deserved a better place. Now they serve beer and have bigger dining area with comfortable booths. They have a few games or vending machines for the kiddies to play with also. They even have a window so you can kind of see the pizza being made. Place for what it is I think its overpriced. Tried their chicken subs and are not what expected they are as simple and a burger king chicken sandwich. They used like breaded chicken strips that costco sells frozen for the subs. Not original for a pizza place. I would expect more from this place. The garlic bread is simple, but very good. The pizza crust is pretty soft, not hard shell feeling like pizza hut. Good quality pizza w/o the dangerous price of Round Table pizza. Total cost was $35 I guess not too bad...I've never complained about their pricing cause the food has always been worth it. My order really never changes each time I order. To be honest I love this place, the pizza is awesome and their grinder sandwich is the best sandwich I've ever had. I've been a customer for over 10 years but they've lost me as a customer. I recently went and had lunch with my daughter and after spending $18 for me and her I asked for 2 cups of water, they processed to charge me .25 cents per cup of tap water. It seems like they are more interested in getting you for every cent they can squeeze out of you instead of valuing the customer. I had just spent $18, was it really necessary to squeeze an extra .50 cents out of me? My co-workers think their pizza are awesome, I was never a fan this is actually the second time they ordered so i guess will give it a try. The first time we ordered pizzas are dry , they couldn't even give us some crushed pepper knowing that they are having complaints from their customer regarding this matter.
