Small pepperoni pizza
Yasmin C.

I came in the other night to pick up my small pepperoni pizza that I had ordered over the phone. It was very delicious and the dough tasted good and the pizza was hot and the pepperonis were really good!! I also asked for a side of ranch and the ranch tasted fresh and creamy!! I will come back! Thank you sweet basil pizza! It was very good!

Pizza dough needs salt, pizza sauce is bland, needs flavor, dough is too doughy needs a lil more time in oven.

New owners. They have Jim's recipes. Their side today was what you'd expect of Sweet Basil's. Delicious. Floppy. Flavorful. Soft. Perfect. I wrote this half way through my slice. I got to the crust, it is very thin now. I loved the thick soft almost bagel like crust. But the slice was still delicious. They plan to experiment with their recipes as they are from another pizza place. So once they start that, I'll be back to compare. If you like a certain item make sure to voice your opinion to them. Give them feedback.

The pizza is delicious! It has a really undercarriage, strong and a really good crunch. The service was quick and friendly. It is a small and cute local pizza shop. We got the lunch special which includes two slices of pizza and a drink for $7.99!

I am a Jim recipe purist of sweet basils pizza. As of right now sweet basil is now under new management. At present, the original pizza that people knew sweet basil for, is sadly gone. The bread is not nearly as sweet, the cheese and pepperoni taste different. The bread/crust were surprisingly soft, so kudos to the new team for that. I tried the pizza DAYS after new management took over, and that pizza tasted like bland dominoes pizza. I'm excited to say it's much better, but still lacking that signature sweet basil taste. I'm not sure anyone will ever taste the same signature Jim's Sweet Basil pizza again, but I'm surprised to admit that I will be supporting you guys until I can taste improvement and something resembling a unique delicious flavor. I'm a company man. Good luck to the new management and team, maybe I'll update in. Another couple months. Much love to you.

The Sweet Basil pizza with chicken was amazing! The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The antipasto salad and caesar salads were fresh and the portions were generous. An excellent value!!! The associate was friendly and the service was excellent.

The food and service here are great. Where else will you find a deal like this, two slices and a drink for under $8.00?

Ask the Community - Sweet Basil Pizza

Hours on Yelp were updated 3 months ago and says will be open at 10 am. I'm here & they're closed?

Do they deliver?

No, they do not.

How is the chicken, not the wings but the whole chicken? I love broasted chicken but want to make sure it's actually broasted.

Hi Lorrie, our whole chicken is our second best selling item following our pizza. We cook our chicken in a pressure cooker to a golden brown. The chicken comes out moist surrounded with a slight to medium crisp.

He always makes us laugh and smile and improves the entire experience. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does as a chef and puts his whole heart and soul into each dish. Jesse also is quick to answer any questions we have regarding the food, especially with how to reheat certain dishes at home later. The staff at Uovo is incredible and you can tell they want you to have the best experience. The environment has always been welcoming and kind. Further, the staff is extremely accommodating with any and all allergies/food restrictions. My mom is vegan and I'm vegetarian, and that has never been an issue at all. We've never left feeling bloated or sick once. If there is a long wait during the rush hours, their staff upfront is prompt and alerts you immediately when your table/seat at the bar is ready. Oftentimes, the wait they tell us is usually longer than what we end up actually waiting, so they're all very efficient.

Food 4/5 Pork Meatballs $21 - Best meatballs I've ever had. Full of flavor but a little too salty. Local Wild Mushrooms $24 - Standard, nothing too special. Beets $18 - Refreshing, to the point. Caramelle $27 - My favorite of all the pastas but expensive for very little pieces of pasta and a meatless dish. Full of flavor, lots of oil. Rigatoni Timballo $32 - Delicious, standard. Duck Confit Rotolo $31 - My personal dish which turned out to be my least favorite. Meatballs and Caramelle were my top favorite, secondary are the beets. Prices are not unexpected for the area but are pretty high for what is really given to you. Service 3/5 We sat outside and they were pretty slow to bring water and take our orders. Ambiance 3/5 It was a really lovely time to eat outside but the lights were broken and it was SO dark, there were no added lights to the table. It was impossible to read the menu.

To finish the meal, I had the apple crust dessert topped with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect ending to an outstanding dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Well, okay. We were there and we were hungry. It's a small place with big attitude. Great vibes, low lighting, cozy seating. We sat down and browsed through the menu. The server came over and said he'd move us to a bigger table. THANK YOU! We finally decided on food. We all had crab cakes appetizers. I had the spicy honey pepperoni pizza and Cesar salad. Coworker had the peso buco with risotto, and the other had the lasagna. We had some fresh rosemary rolls while we waited. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. The girls decided to have desert which we all shared. Tiramisu and cannolis. I don't care for tiramisu so I just had a little taste. I did enjoy a cannoli. The server was super friendly and he knew how to sell you on anything on that menu. I would make the drive to visit here again.

It's a smaller restaurant, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We also loved watching the soccer game on the big screen while enjoying our meal. My only suggestion would be to give a little more attention to the restrooms. They could be cleaned more frequently, and making sure hand soap is always stocked would really enhance the overall experience. Overall, the amazing food, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and great portions make this restaurant an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be making the trip back to La Puente again!

Dear yelp friends:…read more Please read my previous reviews and you'll get the skinny on Aldolinos. The food, ambiance, and service have been consistent over the last dozen years or so I've been frequenting. Although they don't have a Sunday brunch anymore, the full bar is amazing and gives the restaurant a refined, sophisticated, quality. While some Italian restaurants are as cheesy as garlic bread, Aldolinos is classy, not trashy. In the corner of the Oak Tree shopping center, you might not think to stop by, but that would be a mistake. Daily specials; happy hour appetizers & libations; consistent food and service make this an easy choice for me in the Azusa area. I like the dividers that give you a bit of privacy and cut down on conversational noise from other tables. The first thing we notice and LOVED was the old school mellow Italian standards they were playing. Yes! Very relaxing and set the mood. We would have sat in the bar, but there was a large group scheduled in there, so we sat in the dining room. Next time we'll try the bar room. The things that stood out were their delicious, rich sauces. The flavors were spot on. They cook their pasta perfect to my family's taste, with a bite (al dente), but done enough that it's not chewy or floury. Fair prices. And yummy desserts. We really enjoyed the tasty Crab Cake app. We all liked our pasta, particularly me, who had the Mushroom Ravioli with the same sauce that comes on the Beef and Mushroom Ravioli. I think there was a Mushroom Ravioli special with a different sauce, but they did it with the sauce I really wanted to try, which was much appreciated! We enjoyed the Spumoni pie--Spumoni ice cream with a graham cracker(?) pie crust. They also made us a traditional Affogato, because that's what my dad likes. But I want to try their version next time. I'm really excited to go back and try their pizza. We'll get one with sausage, since the sausage on my dad's pasta was really outstanding. I also want to try their Caesar Salad. Looking forward to my next visit!
