A cool little place and just recently opened. Located in the heart of Ball Ground right on Main Street. With old time exposed brick and wooden floors makes this a perfect casual establishment to grab a burger or some very tasty Mexican food. With a full bar, some local brews and great service and very enjoyable servers and bartenders. The appetizer "Trio" with Queso, Salsa and Guacamole was very good. I love it when the chips come out warm and fresh. I was very impressed with all the main entrées we ordered. The Southwest Steak Bowl and Chicken Bowl were both very tasty with all the toppings and big portions. The Steak Nachos was huge. With plenty of cheese, peppers and covered in soft juicy tender steak. Carnitas Wrap was delicious. Very generous portion of savory shredded pork with an abundance of flavorful add ons. A very enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back.

Pretty decent for a small mountain town. This is more of a Mexican joint than a traditional tavern in my opinion. The inside is pretty small with limited seating, but they have a large deck out back. Menu is small which is always a good sign. Lots of Mexican dishes: tacos, quesadillas, fajita salads. I got the carnitas wrap and it was enough food for me for a lunch. Also got the trio dip with chips. My family of four paid about $76 to dine here. Given the location that was expected and it was probably worth it.

Looking for a quick meal in BallGround after an awesome mountain bike ride. Only thing open on Memorial day was this place. Steak tacos were AWESOME! Beer selection was okay and the bartender was a treat! Great service in a friendly cool atmosphere! Prices were extremely reasonable. Definitely be back here.

We stopped in on a rainy night- Greeted by Jose and Angie was our waitress. They were the nicest engaging people. We ordered the tamales as an appetizer- they tasted authentic! I would have taken a picture but they were eaten up too quickly! My son ordered the chicken Philly- I tried a bite--delish as were his fries, hot and fresh. Husband ordered the steak tex mex tacos- he loved them. I tried the beef carnita wrap it was a large portion, I could only eat half, but IT WAS DELICIOUS. It really was surpsingly authenic mexican food for a tavern. We highly recommend this little gem! The portions were great, food was on point and service was fast, food hot and fresh an our server Angie was sweet and Jose was very kind.

This is not a garden salad.

I'm sorry, but it's time BG raises it standards of food and catches up with the rest of surrounding areas. This is NOT a tavern. This is a Mexican restaurant. And not even good Mexican food at that. Not one healthy option, not even a salad on the menu. When I asked if they had one off the menu they said yes, they had a garden salad. Great... A plate came out with shredded iceberg (likely out of a bag), old cucumbers and frozen avocado (which indicates those are also ordered precut and come in frozen, lazy)...no dressing to be found. It was pitiful. The wings were mediocre at best, but that's hard to mess up. Asked for all flats and of course didn't get that either. The ranch was obviously out of a bottle. Yuck. I would go here for the cute patio and have drinks but what a missed opportunity for a good concept to go into that space. So disappointed.

    Seriously?

Empanadas with black beans and my quesadilla were cold. Soda was good. Will not be back.

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

They have lava lamps on display floating hot lava moving slowly up and down. We were lucky enough to sit upstairs in the balcony at bar top tables. They serve classic cocktails and food during the performance so it's a one stop eventful time. There are many bands that play here, so if you're not a fan of big band styles there's rick, jazz, smooth jazz, contemporary., and more. Check out their website and find your own musical jam to sing along too. Yes music lovers they even sell t-shirts so you can have a souvenir of your night out. Check out their posters too you will float back in time with his graphically they are. I am a fan of this location and wouldn't mind returning to see some other acts. Love this place the show with Drew Lafferty was fabulous( our second time seeing him perform). Exceptional singer and performer.

Friends ordered the wagyu cheesesteak and the steak was lacking. It was loaded up with peppers and onions and the filling was still a good inch/ inch and a half lower than the bread. Definitely not worth it for 25$. My husband and another friend got the chicken and sausage pasta, and both had rough nights which leads us to believe that they got food poisoning.
