This is the place you come if you're looking to get a little buzzed in Downtown Disney. There's a plethora of beers on tap (obviously) plus cocktails, shots, wine. The possibilities are endless! We stopped by on a Saturday evening and were able to get on the waitlist and sat within 15 minutes or so (they don't take reservations so you check in at the host stand on the first floor and head up to the first floor when it's time to be sat). The food is a bit mid, nothing to write home about. I got the fish tacos. For Magic Key holders, there is a special Magic Key menu which I thought was pretty cool! I paired my tacos with a Baja Sipper which is essentially the alcoholic version of a Baja blast, omg so good. Like, scary good. Highly recommend.
My wife and I were invited to join two other couples for dinner at this restaurant. My first impression was that this place looked like a fun place to dine. You check in on the first floor and either take the elevator or the stairs to the second floor, which is where the dining area and bar are located. The restaurant is very nice and large. Employees were extremely friendly and welcoming, and they even offer a gift shop selling t-shirts, hoodies, caps, etc., bearing the restaurant's name and logo. Once seated, we had a great view of a portion of downtown Disney down below. The seats were very comfortable, and the tables were fully stocked with condiments and other items. The menu offered so many delicious-sounding options. I decided on a Cobb salad plus an order of fries, and a beer, while my wife has a personal-sized cauliflower-based pizza. Both of our meals were PERFECT!! They were tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. The rest of our group had numerous other food items, and they were all as satisfied and happy with their choices as we were. The service we received from our waiter was GREAT as he was attentive and friendly. The vibe here is relaxed and fun. We can't wait to return.
Came here after our Disney date for some brews. We went up the stairs so fast thinking it would be really hard to find seats but we were very surprised on how many areas to pick and sit at on a Friday night! I think we were just lucky! We got some beers and an entree to share. Can't go wrong with Pineapple sculpin and Wahoo White! We had a lot of snacks to eat in Disney but still wanted to munch on something with our beer. We decided with their nachos. Really wish they would layer the toppings better on the nachos. The bottom had no sauce or toppings left. Heavy loaded on top but pretty minimal for the protein. It was decent. Servers were really good and attentive at the bar. Got our validation for the parking and when you spend over $20 at table service. You'll get 6 hours validated for parking at downtown Disney!
The atmosphere is chill here. Sat outside on the upstairs patio. It was nice since we had good weather. The food is ordered on a QR code. It's okay but not great, but prices are crazy. The fish and chips were good. The fish could have been crispy but wasn't terrible. The fries were good. The beer is okay but don't get a picture only a description of the beer. The service is ehh since you order from the QR code you don't have a set server. So getting water too a long time. The cleanup is kind of rushed so they took my drink before I was done, and tried to take our fries. Not really impressed by that kind of service.
On a summer week night, they were able to accommodate our large group with no wait. It's a clean restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. There's a decent food and beverage menu. I ordered the chicken pot pie empanadas as I didn't want to order a large meal knowing I was heading back into the park afterward. Empanadas were tasty, but one still had filling that was a little chilled. The other two were fine. Docking a star for the lack of consistency and cold food.
Speedy and friendly service at downtown Disney. All the brews are exceptional quality and flavor. I've never had a bad beer at Ballast Point. Love that it reminds me of my hometown San Diego. We also tried the ceviche which was fresh and well balanced with veggies. Perfect amount of citrus. I also had their lobster roll which had a generous amount of lobster. It was chilled lobster which was interesting as I've had it warm at other places but still delicious. My siblings had their fish tacos and nachos and were very happy with their meals. Definitely a go to restaurant and brewery when in Downtown Disney!!!
Love Ballast Point! Perfectly located in Downtown Disney among restaurants, small bites and endless shops. It's the perfect hideout for dads to chill and relax and enjoy a nice cold brew while the wife and kids go shopping! It's my oasis! This brewery has a laid-back, "backyard" vibe on the rooftop, while the indoor area is more industrial and lively. You can sit back and drink while watching over the Downtown Disney District. Known for quality California-inspired pub food, specifically the pretzel with mustard, wings, fish tacos, burgers, and extensive beer flights. Service is great. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great food and beer recommendations!
Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant was a little disappointing. After a long day at the Disneyland parks, we were looking for something filling so we decided to go to ballast point and get some carne asada nachos, it was so small with barely any meat. The price was $22!!!! I can't believe they charge that much for something that is so small it was more like chips and salsa. We were still hungry so we had to order more food, ended up with some quesabirria, that was delicious and I wish we would've ordered that from the beginning, but still very small portions for the price. We used to come to this restaurant a ton before and we've never had an experience like this so we were definitely disappointed.
Ballast Point in Anaheim was a mixed experience for me. The location and beer selection are definitely the highlights here. They have a great variety of Ballast Point signature beers along with other local brews on tap, so beer lovers will probably be happy. Just know this is more of a brewery setup -- limited seltzer options and no full bar. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing for the price point. The poke is all pre-mixed, so there's really no customization if you don't like certain ingredients (I would've skipped the onions). The lobster roll was the biggest letdown -- especially for the cost. It came across more like a cold lobster-tuna salad drowning in mayo than an actual fresh lobster roll. Honestly, the toasted bread was the best part. Service was friendly and perfectly fine, but nothing especially memorable. I do wish the staff had steered me toward stronger menu items or at least given a heads-up about the lobster roll. Overall, not a terrible experience, but with so many restaurants nearby offering better food and full bar options, I personally wouldn't rush back.
Ballast Point is adjacent to Black Tap in the Downtown Disney District. I've often confused the two as the entrances are in close proximity and are easily confused for each other. Ballast point is actually located upstairs and has a very nice vibe and in addition to a view of the down town Disney area. Surprisingly good food. You cannot go wrong as there are many options to choose from. Disney Magic Key holders also have the option to view a secret menu. Nice choices and one that I won't spoil here. Find out for yourselves people. I will simply say that Ballast Point is certainly worth a visit and the prices are not out of line and a wonderful option on a busy Disney Day.
A nice brewery to hang out after visiting Disney parks or just being in Downtown. Downtown Disney was crowded on a Saturday night but got bar seatings right away. The service was great, lots of beer choices and they are all good. Had the BP Asada Steak Nachos, for the price it was not worth it. Minimal steak pieces and really runny cheese.
After a full Disney day, this was the perfect quick stop. We walked up to the bar upstairs, grabbed a self-seat, and just exhaled. We shared the fish and chips and a blood orange seltzer. The seltzer was so good -- crisp, refreshing, exactly what you want after walking 20k steps. The fish and chips were solid and flavorful. My only thing is I wish the portions were a little bigger like most traditional fish and chips spots. Still good nonetheless and hit the spot. We'll definitely be back for the seltzer and to try more of the menu, especially since we've got those Disney passes and will be in the area a lot.
After getting some steps in walking around Downtown Disney, we decided to stop by for a quick drink. I went with my usual 8oz kombucha draft, and the seasonal Golden Mango flavor did not disappoint. It was incredibly refreshing. Light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. I really appreciate that it's gluten free with a natural fizz that isn't overpowering or flat. The cold pressed lime gives it that clean, bright finish, and the mango flavor tastes natural, not artificial or overly sweet. Honestly, it was so refreshing I immediately wanted another. We also ordered the asada steak nachos. It was decent. Nothing bad, but pretty standard bar style nachos you'd find anywhere. It gets the job done if you're looking for something to share. The staff was friendly and the vibe is what you'd expect from a typical brewery. Casual and easygoing. The bar is located upstairs, so be ready for a flight of stairs, but they do have an elevator which is convenient. There's also bar stool seating where you can sit back, enjoy your drink, and take in views overlooking Downtown Disney, which adds to the overall experience. Overall, a great spot to pause, refresh, and sip on something unique while exploring the area.
We came here on a Sunday at 12:30ish and got seated within 10 minutes. We have a stroller w a baby and were able to bring the stroller up, but had to put it off to the side. (We saw some other families that were allowed to have their strollers w them at the table.) The service was very attentive and kind. Yay! We got the buffalo wings and they were Really saucy but I prefer that! I got the poke bowl with extra greens (no rice). I appreciated that they made the substitution upon request. My husband got the burger and they also accommodated his request for lettuce wrap. Appreciated the service, the quickness of everything, and the accommodations for our food request!! Great place to take a break from the Disney crowds and get seated to enjoy some lunch/dinner or just an appetizer or beer. .Literally you get to go above the crowds to the second floor bar and restaurant. The menu has a decent selection of appetizers (Wings, empanadas, pretzels, nachos, cauliflower or fries). They also have sandwiches and burgers as well as fish and chips. We were impressed at the seasonal fall cobb salad which was quite large and surprisingly fresh. read more
Came here to take a break from the parks and to watch the rams game with my group. Ballast point was our meeting point and we decided to sit outside. We asked if the seating was open seating, they said yes so we found a table to accommodate 6 because we were 3 waiting for the rest of our party. We were immediately approached by a young waitress asking if we were a party of three because they don't allow small parties to take bigger tables. This was a bit off putting as it was a first interaction. We ordered drinks and food. I got the poke bowl which was surprisingly good. The wings were delicious. Overall a good experience minus the strange interaction to begin with. It's QR code based ordering and drinks come out quickly. read more
The chicken and waffle fries, the fries were super crispy but the chicken was very dry. They drizzle this sweet sauce on top, it was too sweet for my taste. The burger was juicy but kind of bland. It was on a pricier side but you're paying for the downtown Disney experience. They do validate parking but you're still responsible for the first hour of parking ($10). Plenty of seating and very spacious. Good for large group. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

This place was ok. There was quite a wait on a weekday, although I don't understand why. They have a limited amount of TVs, so definitely not the best place to watch a game. I'm a big fan of poke, and I should have known better than to order poke from a place like this. But this was probably the worst poke I ever had. At least 1/3 of the fish pieces were inedible and impossible to chew. The sauce/flavor was good though. Tbh, most of my table ate like only half of their meal or less. Idk if it was because we weren't that hungry or if the food just wasn't great. read more

Front desk lady on the ground level wasn't having it that day. She was no-smiles and didn't inform the servers on the second floor that my sis and I wanted indoor dining table seating so after my sis and I climbed up the stairs, we were standing awkwardly for a hot minute waiting for a server to escort us to our would-be table. Eventually a confused server just asked us to sit anywhere in the bar area (......yeah not our original seating request but we complied as we didn't want the situation to become over-complicated). Bar seating ordering is via QR code by default but I've seen patrons order through an actual staff member (have to ask for it). - Fish & chips: pretty good!! Very tender and flaky cod. Fries also were scrumptiously crispy. Plate is easily sharable between two people (unless super duper hungry). - Fried calamari: deliciously seasoned but waaay too rubbery (freezer burn?). Had to gnaw at some of the pieces. I'd say this one is a pass. Although we ordered via QR code, we still had a designated server and she was friendly and very attentive. Overall not one of my preferred restaurants in Downtown Disney but if you need a spot with an extensive beer selection that also has a food menu then this place would be it. read more

First time, and definitely wanted to try this brewery. I've been to the Long Beach one and love that one so much. This place was packed but we got seated right away outside. Super great and quick service. You just order online and pay and they bring everything out. The place is huge even the bar area is super nice. Definitely enjoyed ourselves! read more
Because this place is in Downtown Disney, you are paying Disney premium prices here. Our pints were $14 each and an order of garlic Parmesan fries was $15. That said, it's a beautiful venue, the food was good, the beers were good and the staff was friendly. read more
While shopping in Downtown Disney we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat at a place we've never been before so we picked Ballast Point. The restaurant/bar is located on the second floor. With the windows open on a beautiful day it was really nice to feel the fresh air while we enjoyed our beer. Because we wanted to try several eats while at Downtown Disney we decided to share the asada steak nachos. The nachos are topped with a cheese sauce, carne asada, pickled jalepenos, sour cream and guacamole. I did ask for a side of salsa which made it the perfect bite. The meat was surprisingly tender and the nachos were a great pairing with our beer. read more

Downtown Disney on a busy weekend can be chaotic--getting a decent table for a group is often a nightmare! However, Ballast Point was a welcome relief. We were quoted a relatively quick wait and had a big table for our party within an hour, which is fantastic considering the area's usual congestion. The Brews & The Bites As expected, the beer was really enjoyable; always a great selection of their classics. What actually impressed me was the solid food! They even had a kids menu, making it genuinely family-friendly. I took a chance on the pound hot dog covered in bacon, and even though I typically don't even like hot dogs, it was absolutely amazing--I would definitely order it again! Between the unique offerings and the great execution of the food, we had no complaints. The Price of Paradise The one unavoidable downside is that it's still Downtown Disney prices, so it felt a bit expensive. But for the location, the quality of the food, and the overall experience, it was manageable. Great Service The service was genuinely really good, especially considering how busy the night was. Our server was attentive and everything came out quickly. Overall: If you're willing to pay the price for a great, relaxing spot with solid food and excellent beer right in the middle of the Downtown Disney craziness, Ballast Point is highly recommended. Had a great experience today celebrating my niece's birthday. Group of 9, 30 minute wait on a Saturday evening. Got seated and food and drinks came out quickly. Garlic Parmesan fries were fantastic. Pretzel was very good and the aji wings were delicious. Ordered a variety of their beers and michelada as well. Joaquin helped us get seated quickly and Chris was great server - very attentive. read more

We stopped in here to catch some football games before we went back to the parks. There could have been more TVs, but it was big, air-conditioned and a great way to cool down and refuel after a morning at Disneyland. They had so many great beer and drink options! I love being able to build my own flight and sample a few different things before committing to a full pour. Our server was nice and efficient. I was looking for something lighter, so I went with the tuna poke bowl and it was very good! I would totally get it again. It was probably the healthiest thing I ate all trip, haha. Our family decided to stop in for lunch after seeing their grand building! After scanning the barcode at our table, we placed our order, Lemonade, Steak Nachos, BBQ Chicken Flatbread and Kid's Cheeseburger. Great lemonade hubby shared with our eldest, the nachos and flatbread were ok, a little too spicy for me to enjoy. Great kids meal, our 8 year old absolutely loved it and it came with a delicious Brickfire Bakery cookie!! Staff were very sweet! Came for dinner after a long day at Disneyland and was greeted by the bartender, Pickles (yes, that's her name)! There were few people in the upstairs outside bar, which is the best place for a meal IMO. Pickles was patient as I asked many questions about the food, but steered me right with a poke bowl that was truly outstanding. The tuna was fresh and complimented by cucumber, carrots, rice, seaweed and a lovely sauce. Adding a side of soy sauce and Pickle's suggestion of Sriracha made the dish marvelous. The meal was rounded out with a bottle of Unshackled Red Blend (delicious) at $64 a bottle. There was a little hiccup at the end of the night with my leftovers being packaged out of site (you know it's my pet peeve), but the manager was awesome and corrected everything before I left full and happy. I had a Moscow mule and multiple lime margaritas with tajin rim, and my husband had the blueberry hard lemonade and jungle juice. All our drinks were really good, especially the lime margaritas. On the menu it says the lime margarita is award winning and I can see why, and you should definitely pay the extra dollar to add the tajin rim. We received exceptional service from Victor and Bijian who were amazing, and we had a great time here. read more
Just stopped in for a few beers, didn't order any food. Beer selection is great, but be aware that most of the beers are not Ballast Point--they're from other breweries. Still a great selection, but I like supporting the brewery itself. Service is decent, but not great. I do like that they offer 4oz, 8oz, and 16oz pours, and it was really easy to order from the QR code on the table. read more

We were hoping to eat a decent meal before going back to Disneyland thinking the food here would be much better but was sadly disappointed . I gave 3 stars because of our server If we just rated the food it would have been 1 star My husband had the fish and chips , the fries were not good and did not eat the fish and chips after 2 bites The wings had a weird flavor and it was not edible look at the color I took a picture . I had to send it back and I was afraid to order another one . The tacos was greasy and very soggy .I ate the chips since i was hungry . I will try another restaurant next time when we come back to Disneyland. read more

Cool place, good for groups and food was typical American bar food but it was good. I liked how each person could order by using g the QR code and it made it easier for groups to each pay per person. One problem my fish tacos had threads in them like a fabric thread I took a bite and it was hanging from my mouth. I talked to the server and they quickly replaced my tacos so that was cool but you know..wish it wouldn't have happened. read more

This is only about the food. Take a look at the picture. Does that look like a flatbread worthy of a cost of $25? Hell no it does not! It looks like it was either made in a cooking class for first timers or a 5 year old just through a bunch of junk together. Take a look at the cheese. Does it look like it was cooked all the way? No, no it doesn't. The crust was too soft, and the sauce and toppings were really cold. I bright it up to my server who was really cool about everything. He said he can ask them to make another one and he asked me if I wanted it well done. Nice looking restaurant and good beer though. read more

Asada Fries and Fish Tacos were great, However the marinated ribs were extremely fatty, and for the price??!? it was like 70% fat and 30% meat. I really wish we said something because this felt like a scam/waste!! Nobody wants just all fat, we pay for the meat. read more
We stopped by this brewery in Downtown Disney with a party of four around 8 PM and were pleasantly surprised with only a 20-minute wait. Once seated on the second floor, we had a great view overlooking Downtown Disney which was the perfect setting to unwind after a long day. Service started off quick and attentive, and although it slowed down a bit toward the end, the staff remained friendly and welcoming throughout. I ordered the fish and chips, and they did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly tender with a light, flaky breading that didn't overpower. The garlic fries were chef's kiss! perfectly fried, crunchy on the outside, but still light and airy. To drink, I had their pineapple IPA, which paired beautifully with the fish and chips.. bright, crisp, and just the right amount of tropical. If you're looking for something non-alcoholic, the watermelon water is super refreshing and a great option. One of my friends got a burger that looked massive and juicy, definitely something I'll come back for. We also noticed they sell some pretty cool merch, and it's nice to see they offer Magic Key and Cast Member discounts. There's a lively yet relaxed energy here, and the layout with a central bar top and plenty of seating makes it feel both social and spacious. All in all, a fantastic way to cap off our evening. We were there in late June and got in without a reservation. It was a 15 min wait. Also ask about sitting at the bar. That may get you in without a wait.

What is the wait system like? Is it a buzzer or a text when your table is ready? Wondering if we will be able to walk around downtown Disney while waiting for a table or if we will have to stay in the restaurant.
I'm pretty sure it was a text message when we went there. They will give you an idea of wait time and that should dictate how far you wander into downtown Disney.
Will BP check ID upon entry or can those under 21 still come into the restaurant for the non-alcoholic offerings like food?
They welcome all ages into restaurant. We ate lunch there with our 2 year old & they had a kids menu upon request.

Not 100% sure, but it's highly doubtful. They have a kitchen and it's all located on the second floor.
