Sandwich was great, service was exceptional and the restaurant has nice modern feel. Pesto sandwich was delicious.

Had a great experience at the bar. We went in to redeem our free drink vouchers good for a couple cocktails. They had a 2 cocktails options and a lavender mocktail also. We naturally got one of each cocktail. They were pre-batched and pretty boozy, and a nice welcome from the hotel. Pretty basic presentation since they were free, but others who ordered and paid got some cute Cucumber Mickey ears on theirs and a larger pour, but honestly no complaints for the free bevvie. We also ordered a local hazy IPA which was good, and a strawberry cocktail with egg white that was too easy to drink down. Def worth a visit if staying in the hotel.

While staying at The Viv, we decided to order breakfast from here. It didn't take that long but we really felt it lacked flavor. We also thought this was a form of room service but they charge to deliver to the room. I ended up having to come back down because they forgot something. The lady was very nice with helping me though. From what I could see, pretty big restaurant.

Looks good however we weren't able to try it because they were closed. We'll try it again tomorrow morning and update the review.

Valencia at the Viv, is a hotel bar with a so so drinks, food and service. The place is ok, nothing great but the service is mediocre at best, the drinks are pretty average as well as the food . Nothing to remember, nothing to come back...

    The "new" Valencia's menu

Marriott Bonvoy and the new management, what the heck is going on? Feels like finance problems at this property. The people are great but now the menu sucks, the rooms are slipping, and it's starting to feel like the property is slipping. Lifetime platinum elite member who spends 150+ nights per year on Bonvoy property. Get together please or I can find somewhere else to stay. Thank you. Remember the good ol' days when you had a great ribeye on the menu?!?! Now this?????

    Caesar salad, flatbread pizza.

Cease salad was wet as if it had just been washed and not dried before being dressed. I prefer a crisp salad. The flatbread pizza was not crispy on the bottom and not very warm when it came out. The flavor was just lacking. It was close to closing time and it was petty dead at the hotel restaurant so maybe that played a part in it. For the price I was not impressed.

3.5/5. Located at the ground level at The Viv Hotel. Very large, modern, high ceiling with a beautiful ambiance with different textures to blend the space. Service was a little slow but still nice and efficient overall. Menu is a 1 pager very basic American food. I will say for a hotel restaurant prices aren't too crazy. We ordered the quesadilla with chicken and the nachos. Nachos really had more chips then anything else. Quesadilla wasn't bad at all. You may validate your parking at the front desk which is good because you don't have to pay for parking but bad because you need to wait in line if it's busy to get it validated.

    False advertising guacamole
    Kimberly E.

Business photos are "false advertising" the guacamole looks nothing like the advertised photos. I see my pic. Go down the street to Walmart and get 3 avocados for $1.50 and you'll enjoy it better than the fake $12 guacamole here!!! This place is a joke. Don't waste your time or money.

Decor: Perfect for spooky lovers Ambiance: Could use some music to match the theme Service: good & attentive waitress I actually ended up here by accident. I was trying to go to Villains Brewery. I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

I used to work here years ago so I know how much care goes into the food & drinks. The Puesto Perfect Margarita is still my favorite margarita I've ever had. Everything is made fresh & you can absolutely taste the difference. I always order mine with a sugar rim. It's consistently refreshing, balanced & incredibly smooth. We stopped by on a Monday around 4:30 p.m. just before happy hour ended. It was nice & relaxed when we arrived. It only started getting a little busier as we were leaving. We took advantage of happy hour & ordered a few favorites. The potato taquitos have been one of my go-to menu items for years & are just as delicious as I remembered. Crispy on the outside, flavorful inside & served over a generous bed of fresh guacamole that makes every bite even better. We also tried one of the newer happy hour items the short rib mini burrito served with a green sauce. Both my husband & I really enjoyed it. The short rib was tender & the sauce added the perfect amount of brightness. I was happily snacking on the chips with the molcajete salsa. It's one of my favorite restaurant salsas. I also love the chips with Puesto Perfect guacamole. It makes it hard to stop eating. Since it was my birthday I treated myself to a Tropical Candy Shot. If you like bold flavors definitely order one. It reminded me of a Mexican street candy in shot form with a Tajín rim & a pineapple garnish. It was festive, flavorful & the perfect birthday treat. The sweetest surprise of the evening was the complimentary birthday dessert. A slice of pistachio tres leches cake. I love tres leches but I've never had a pistachio version before. It was incredibly moist & rich without being too heavy. The pistachios added the perfect crunch & nutty flavor. It was one of the highlights of the meal. One small detail I always appreciate is that they bring a pitcher of water to the table. This makes it easy to refill your glass throughout the meal without waiting. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel more comfortable. I'm so glad we came back after not visiting for quite a while. I love the consistently amazing margaritas, delicious happy hour menu, & warm hospitality. The thoughtful birthday surprise made it even better. It was a wonderful way to celebrate. I'll definitely be back! If you're visiting for the first time do yourself a favor & order the Puesto Perfect Margarita & potato taquitos. Also save room for the pistachio tres leches if it's available.

(The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)
