Grace has owned…read morethis shop for over a decade or more; and through the years she has collected a large trove of several pointe shoes, leotards and all things you would need from the smallest of accessories to the newest designs! Hours of Operation is regularly 10am to 6pm daily (see website hours). It is a well-known and popular shop. Grace runs the shop solo and her assistant is there every other day. Please be patient, Grace understands each shoe is costly especially if they are Pointe shoes $125 and up, so she gives you the patience of "time to decide" versus being rushed. She will give you options based on if you have wide feet, narrow, or even a lower heel fit in the back to avoid scraping the skin off your heels. Ultimately, you leave having picked your first pointe/ballet/jazz/contemporary/character shoes comfortably. Customers can walk in and might have to wait longer, but there is so much to look for to pass time. There is no returns for dancers shoes and many items with any wear on them. Is it worth the wait? I think so. You drove out there and the options are endless from the floor to the ceiling. Many shoes that have run out in other dance places may still be here. Ask? If your shoe design is gone, Grace will give alternatives and honest feedback of similar shoes. Cost is the same as other Dance stores. Location is off the Aliso Creek Road exit and you'd turn into a small street called "Journey", it's in a small business nook. Business owner: Grace presents with a humble nature. She is experienced having been a ballet dancer herself and then understanding the needs of dancers. She is helpful in shoe fittings because she understands it is the fit that makes the difference. The customer also has to speak up their preferences so she can help identify what your personal preferences and fit are too! She carefully listens and guides you. We leave here feeling as if we have visited a family member who is so respectful, kind and gracious. Exceptional****** Grace always picks up her business phone unless she is helping a customer. Kimber was incredibly helpful. She got me all the sizes I asked for. The shoe still didn't feel right so I asked if the store had any other black character shoes or shoes that looked like character shoes. She brought so many boxes. She was so helpful. I went with a totally different brand that I had not seen at other dance stores, because they were one of the non theatre shoes that Kimber brought out. I feel much better than when I went in. Susan warmly greeted us and helped my daughter get fitted for her first pair of ballet and tap shoes and guided us toward the perfect leotard and ballerina skirt. I hadn't expected to feel so nostalgic being in a dancewear store again, but it brought back a lot of memories from when I danced growing up. I was a little nervous about making sure we got everything she needed right for her first classes (have things changed in 30 years??), and I really appreciated how knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful she was with us. I'm excited to introduce my daughter to dance, and having someone make the first shopping experience so easy and enjoyable was a great start.
