They will hide information from you, the quality you recieve for your teeth is how they are feeling that day, will make several false charges, really good at dodging confrontation. Dr. Sonu has left the practice. The staff is entirely turned over. I just had the most miserable painful cleaning of my life, and that's from someone with a high tolerance for discomfort in the name of good health. The two dentists talked over me instead of to me, and the only person who did interact was the nice hygienist who is clearly fresh out of school. The icing on the cake was having a nightguard foisted on me with zero discussion and finding out at the front desk that they wanted $50 for it. No thanks. read more

I was kind of skeptical coming to a new office because I've been with my last dentist for a few years, but had to find a new office because of relocating. They are a little hidden at first, but it is worth it to find the office! From when i first walked in tina, the receptionist, made me feel welcome and was very friendly. I was impressed that there were no waiting patients and i didn't sit there long before they called me back also. Very time efficient. The dentist was very informative and answered my questions and/or concerns. The assistant is very kind and friendly. They both made sure to help me feel comfortable and understand everything they were discussing regarding my mouth (which is a huge thing for me.) I was extremely impressed worth their time management, customer service skills, efficiency, and the overall warm welcoming feeling of the office. I have found my permanent dentist! read more

I just came home from the clinic and I am truly amazed at how they conduct their practice. I actually felt loved, appreciated, and cared for. It was after normal hours and she came to the office with her husband, another dentist, to help extract my tooth. They gave me a price that was fair and honest. Humor, trust, empathy, and love in their dealing with me. She listens to you and doesn't make you feel stupid, like many dentists I have seen in my life, especially in America. My tooth came out with no complications. I am going to go back and have more work done. I would recommend this practice anytime with Dr. Shohreh Khorasandi and her husband Dr. Khorasandi. read more

I tried to be as patient as I possibly could but I want to save someone from the trauma I experienced yesterday. I went to get one wisdom tooth extracted after my first visit last week for a cleaning and X-rays. I show up for my appointment and am informed that they're taking two teeth which was not previously discussed but was fine with it might as well. Long story short the extraction lasted 3 hours. I received no nitrous only lidocaine and had to ask for more repeatedly throughout. The Dr. spent the three hours putting me in a chokehold and trying to pry my wisdom tooth from the bone. The saw was used minimally and I was painfully couscous the entire time. I cried several times due the fact that I was being tortured for three hours straight and in pain but the dr. Kept telling me "stop crying you need to relax" whilst holding me in a choke hold. On top of all that they almost prescribed me amoxicillin which I am DEATHLY allergic to which is reflected in all of my medical history. Guess that's the only saving grace of me being conscious was to save my own life. Due to the amount of blunt force trauma for three hours straight I'm at risk for nerve damage so it is safe to say I won't be returning and I strongly suggest not coming here. read more

The front desk is very friendly and always greets you when you come in and not to mention the dentists are even more friendly! I had a dental prophy appointment, yesterday. It was a great experience. Before going to Dr. Sonu at the Ballinger Dental Clinic , my former dentist's hygienists had me convinced that I had a problem mouth. It seemed no matter how much I tried, I would not be able to take good enough care of it, so I was having 4 prophies a year , (for a while, unnecessarily, each in two sessions) ; very expensive. When my former dentist stopped taking my dental plan, I found Dr. Sonu. She praises the health of my mouth & the care I take of it. This was very disorienting at first, but now, I am loving it! Gradually, she has talked me into having fewer prophies! ( I know she is not just schmoozing me with praise because I have been present in the waiting room when others have checked out. I have heard them asking about her specific recommendations to them for better self care.) I highly recommend Dr. Sonu. Her office is peaceful. She has a lovely spirit: warm & light. Her style is patient, gentle, positive, & uncomplicated. Yesterday, I had lost a filling. Rather than make me schedule another appointment, she took the extra few minutes to fix it right then. The office was kind of hard to find during my first visit. Since it's located in a neighborhood and surrounded by houses. However, when I stepped into the office. I was greeted with a very comfortable environment. The staff was friendly and quickly processed my information before the actual appointment. Dr. Sonu was very accommodating and located a lot of issues which I was not aware of at the time. Like another review, they didn't recommend anything that was not needed which was refreshing to me. Had a crown put on and my teeth cleaned during my last few visits. The time and care that was taken during those visits were great. Don't really have any complaints about this office. This dental office accepts a certain type of insurance that I have, but they ONLY accept it under certain conditions when a person is in pain and needs an exam or dental work, NOT for cleaning services, even though those are covered under the plan. It certainly sounds like they only want to cover services that will maximize their billing. read more

Dr. Khorsandi has an entirely new staff of kind, friendly, compassionate women. They never fail to make you feel like a friend or family when you come in. I used to have such a fear of the dentist because of my last office. I told Dr. Lui this and she made it a point to be gentle and take her time. The new assistant Nicole is the only assistant beside the Dr. so you get a very one on one experience. Nicole made sure she explained every step of my visit and answered every question i had. All around, i had a wonderful cleaning and would recommend this office a million times over! read more

I have been going to Ballinger for 10 years and the old dentist must have recently sold the practice because when I went in it was all new faces and incompetent hygienists and dentist. I will never set foot in the building again and, from the looks of more recent reviews, I am not the only one upset with the change over. They should be closed as far as I am concerned and I wish I could give it 0 stars. I had the displeasure of being assigned Janice, who not only raised my chair and put it so far back that I was slipping out of it and then proceeded to walk away to get her instruments ready, but who didn't ask me any questions apart from my name and was brutal on my teeth and treated me not as a patient but more like cattle. She also was snapping at the other assistance the entire time. I am ashamed to say I didn't speak up for myself and the one time I winced, after being in tears for a while, I was told I was fine by her as she just went along her way, using tools I thought only a dentist was allowed to handle and not a hygienist. I did eventually find my voice when her and the dentist were going back and forth and kept snapping about tooth numbers at me (tooth 9 needs this, tooth 32 needs this) and looking at me like I was the daft one for not understand that I just got up and walked out to pay my bill only to find out the preventative covering they wanted to do would have cost $600 dollars they weren't going to discuss with me before proceeding! After I walked out and had Tina, the receptionist, explain to me what they were talking about, Janice came out and literally threw the "goodie bag" most dentists hand out and stormed off. She literally took out her bad day on my teeth. As far as I am concerned, she should not be allowed to work with people in such vulnerable situations. I have never had a bad check up or an issue with cleaning yet I went home with a migraine and was out of it for the next week and have had pain off and on since. The only kind face was the receptionist and one of the Hispanic assistants (I feel terrible for forgetting her name) who was a carry over from the old practice. This visit was back in November and I am still having teeth problems. I am posting this now because I feel it is important to warning anyone thinking about this clinic to stay away if you value the health of your teeth. Go anywhere but here. read more
