I came here on a whim honestly, I just finished working out and wanted a good drink and to support a local business. I went searching for a non chain bar or restaurant to support and was shocked to see that Lakewood CO of all places had a local distillery and just had to try it. It honestly exceeded my expectations as I originally planned on coming in for one drink but left after trying 3 because it was so good. My first drink was the Coffee, God and Cigarettes. This drink offered a well-balanced blend of bitter and sweet notes, both light and flavorful. The tobacco finish is present but not overpowering, making for a very enjoyable overall experience. The 2nd drink I got was the old fashioned.... Which was made with both whiskey and rum in it which left me a bit nervous to actually order it. But don't let the rum fool you, this is a classic-tasting delicious Old Fashioned. Ironically, the rum has more traditional whiskey character than their white whiskey (which tastes like scotch). If you like Old Fashioneds, you'll find this version delicious. I finished with the Serrano Cucumber Gimlet. It features a fresh cucumber essence and a well-balanced, subtle heat. A unique and excellent twist on the classic. All the in house spirits were great, Cameron the bartender on shift was able to answer any and all questions I had, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. We thought we could come in for a nightcap since we are from Arizona and heard about how great the tiki drinks and rum was. When we arrived, Four people inside sitting at then bar having a good time. Six people with pretty full drinks outside we thought we would be able to come in for some signature drinks. Immediately turned away. Disappointed and wanted to share that we are so happy you are making so much money that you can turn away people. I enjoyed the ambiance of this place, I like the music and the decor. I enjoyed the fact that you can bring in your own food and drink. But, I didn't enjoy the service. We spent over $100 in drinks and we felt like a burden as a customer. We tried chatting with the bartenders and they were very short and ignored us when we would ask questions about the drinks. The bartender was very dismissive of us, and very friendly with the other customers. When my table asked for drinks or shots they would just throw them on the counter. Personally, I didn't enjoy the service and I felt unwelcome. They were washing their dishes right in front of us and they were throwing it around so the dish water kept splashing us and getting in our drinks. The drinks were pretty good for the prices. It's a great business that makes their own alcohol, so it's pretty awesome to support a local business. Overall, cool idea but I don't enjoy feeling unwelcome in a space, so I probably won't be back. I know they aren't hurting for my business, just wanted to share my experience. read more

In fact, their drink menu is based on seasons and the availability of local ingredients. Um, score. We've had our traditional favorites as well as tried new creations each time we've visited - the best of both worlds! I was seeking out a distillery to check out. I was very interested in visiting as many as I can but this was the only one that I could find the time to visit. We stopped here and it was getting ready to storm. Pulled up and the place from the outside is very small. Walk in and they have a bar area with seating and a small area in the back. We sat in the back. My wife purchased a cocktail, I sampled several of the different spirits I had the spiced rum neat. It was clear, didn't have the usual spice that you receive from a spice rum but I liked it. The golden rum was superb and tasted like a friends rum who just got started in the distillery business in Florida. I was really intrigued how the two tasted so much a like. One of the owners I believe explained some of my questions that I had on the aging of their products. He mentioned that the county, location has a specific stipulation on how long they can age because the local fire department says it's flammable and restricts them from aging over a longer period of time. 2 years is almost the limit. He plans on getting another location in the future to allow them longer periods of aging. An area that is t constricted so much. It is a hidden gem in Colorado that offer a small batch but great list of products. Recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. read more

We stopped in here after a hike and were not disappointed! The decor inside is tiki-themed (as advertised on their website) but had a modern twist. There is a simple patio outside with a good amount of shade. They have a pretty extensive cocktail menu, ensuring that just about anyone can find something they will enjoy. We tried the Blackbeard's Bathwater which was delicious and refreshing, and the Black Sky which was stronger but very smooth and brought out the flavors in their spirits. Found this place through yelp. Decided to stop by and try it out. There's limited seating indoors. A barrel high top for 2, a cozy couch for 2, then a booth for 4 and a larger booth for 4-6. There's also bar seating but was limited to 2 guests for social distancing. However, plenty of patio seating available just in time for nice summer nights. We came in and sat at the barrel high top. Immediately we were impressed with the budget friendly cocktails!! So naturally, had to try 2 each. They have over 25 unique concoctions. First thing I noticed was the penicillin. I haven't seen this drink since LA and it's rare that a bartender in Denver knows how to make it. We got it.. it was fabulous. They also have a seasonal spicy cucumber gimlet. Again fabulous. Second round we got the long drink and the 3 dots and a dash. And you know it.. FABULOUS!!! Out of all the cocktails, 3 dots and a dash was hands down the best cocktail of the night. Came here back in October when it was still warm enough to sit outside and enjoy an adult beverage. Must have driven by this place 1000 times before noticed it had transitioned from an auto inspection station to a distillery, and then it took a little while longer to make the time to visit given the pandemic restrictions and precautions. Glad we finally made it! Upon arrival, popped inside to see what the protocol was. We were greeted warmly and told to grab any open spot outdoors. There were several picnic tables and seating areas spaced an appropriate distance apart. Digital and laminated menus were available. All servers wore masks and we kept ours on while placing orders and chatting with the crew. I ended up with a Serrano Cucumber Gimlet and my partner got a Bee's Knees. Both were well mixed and very drinkable. I was a bit apprehensive mine would be too spicy (I'm a bit of a lightweight in that category), but it had just the right amount of heat which was balanced by the coolness of the cucumber. Same with the Bee's Knees, which had just the right amount of honey sweetness balanced by the sourness of the lemon. While I would have loved to have done a proper tasting to sample all the offerings, figured a cocktail was a good introduction and made plans to visit again. Looking forward to a time in the (hopefully) not so distant future when will be able to check out the interior space and learn more about their small batch productions! read more

Really great place for after work drinks. My co-workers love the Churchill's Breakfast. They have a really unique 1-minute whiskey. It's not my jam but I love that they're creative. We came here after reading all of the amazing reviews. My husband and I both got the fall seasonal drink of the day. It was good, not amazing, and it was also $12!! We then ordered a shot flight since we had gin cocktails but wanted to try their spiced rum and whiskey. I thought the rum was decent; my husband really didn't enjoy it. However, we both agreed that the whiskey was one of the most horrible things we've ever consumed. It tasted like rubbing alcohol mixed with shoe leather. For $30+, we were not impressed, and our server was less than appealing. She had no sense of humor or personality and was borderline snobbish. Luckily we apparently came during a shift change and received someone much more pleasant to close out our tab with. Our friend joined us a little later and had an old fashioned ($7) that he said was good. Decent but nothing overwhelming in our opinion. We won't be returning. read more

Careful, if you blink you might miss it! I only heard of it because it's literally in the parking lot of my office (convenient and dangerous). This spot used to be a car garage for inspections but now has transformed into a beautiful tasting room and distillery! The space inside is small but very modern and classy. And the drinks are beyond delicious! Everything is made in house, even their version of a scotch. I had the "Rum DMC" and it was superb! The rum was smooth and made with a miso syrup which cut through the sweetness while still providing full flavor.
