Let's start with the good. The new girl in kitchen taking orders and the chef were very cool. Chef brought us our food. It was about 1030p. So apparently this joint transitions into a video game pool hall dude-festival. Ratio was about 20-1 guy/girls. The bartenders did a horrible job of checking in with customers across the entire bar area. Only hanging out near the well area. The bar back I asked several times to please ask a bartender to cash us out and he never did. Took about 15 min to finally get our check. Pretty decent place, late night food serviceable. This is coming from a bartender and this was genuinely the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. The only reason we went here was because they are one of the only places in golden with more than one pool table, the bartender was so so sweet (don't know her name but she had blue dye in her hair) there was someone in a red staff shirt walking around smelling horribly. respectfully if you can't uphold the fact that you staff needs to take care of themselves and be clean it already shows such a bad atmosphere. I walked in with my fiancée and the first thing that we saw was a girl wearing barely anything, in all red and shorts that didn't even cover her butt. The entire bar is just showing off that they are trashy and don't care about their staff or the people that come to their bar. This place will not last with the way the staff treats the customers or how they dress. The food that we ordered was genuinely some of the worst food i have ever had from a bar. I've seen the reviews for after hours food so we came before to get some snacks and a couple beers and it tasted rotten and not fresh. I really wanted to give this place a great shot but everyone who worked here was rude and disrespectful. There is genuinely a good reason that we walked in and no one was there. We should've known from the start that it wasn't going to be a good spot. Not to mention food safety there was a dog(without a vest for a service animal) in the middle of the bar by the pool tables that the staff was petting and greeting without waving their hands after and I saw this multiple times. Reading the sign outside saying that no pets are allowed and seeing a dog inside right next to the kitchen doors is so unsanitary and fails so many health codes. Hidden Gem!!! This was our first time here and it is amazing! Awesome atmosphere, history and food. The staff is super friendly also. My husband did the Nut Buster Burger challenge. It is 4 patties, each with a dollop of peanut butter and 2 slices of bacon and a pound of fries! If you eat it in 30 minutes, it is free (regularly $26). This building is so fun and full of history and amazing decor. It has 2 full bars and a large patio. The inside is big with multiple pool tables and other games. They have bar seating, small and large tables and booths. They offer a large beer tap selection and a great menu featuring wings, pizza, burgers and bbq options. Had a very disappointing experience. During my interaction, I witnessed behavior that felt openly discriminatory and unprofessional. Comments that came across as homophobic were made, and the owner's attitude toward certain groups felt disrespectful and inappropriate. This place is known for their legendary wings and mozza sticks. I discovered it a few years ago and kept it a secret but I figured it's time to let others know. The dry rub wings are one of a kind and you'll never get it anywhere else. Their wings are WHOLE wings so don't confuse the prices. Service is always great, rough around the edges sometimes but it's a biker bar and I love it. They have a surprising amount of arcade games inside and some good ones too so kids can be occupied while you're enjoying wings and some beer. For a place that looks like a total dive bar I had an amazing time. The price of the drinks were exceptional and the food was amazing for bar food. Pretty fun place to go to day or night. Day time is more relaxed with music playing and good people around. Everyone is friendly and outgoing. The servers and bartenders are very friendly and good with making sure we have everything we need. The food is pretty good too. The wings are my favorite. Either the buffalo or Asian sauce. The burgers and bbq are definitely good too. Definitely recommend. Night time gets a little more crazy if you like to party. The music gets a little louder and cool lights come on in the back for the dance floor. If you like to dance definitely come check it out. Also at night the back bar is open so you don't have to keep walking up front to get drinks. But if you're not a dancer then you can stay in the front and hang out, watch what's on tv, or play some pool or a couple arcade games. Open late and the kitchen is open until 11pm. The wings are legit and massive, don't worry about not ordering enough, 6 wings ought to do the trick for most folks. Don't forget to get yourself some tots, delicious! The service was friendly all around, it wasn't a busy night here on a Tuesday but they were accommodating even with us showing up super late. Originally we were going to a brewery down the street but my friend said that we should stop as this place has an impressive history (it used to be a brothel). I'm glad we did. It is definitely worth a stop if you're in Golden/West Denver. The mounted rhino in the front of the bar is one of many interesting things to see. The place definitely feels like a local bar. My husband and I stopped by the Rock Rest to grab lunch a couple days ago. In perusing their menu, I finally decided I was in the mood for a pizza. At $15 I assumed it would be a rather small to medium pizza. OMG was I ever shocked when they delivered it to the table! It was humongous! It was nearly as big as the table! And one of the best pizzas I've had in a very long time, maybe ever. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was loaded with so many goodies that I could only eat one piece, albeit a huge piece. Walking in... huge main bar surrounded by high tops & pool tables; a few booths by the windows. There is also a large back room where the ladies used to be with a beautiful bar! Must see. Huge outdoor patio area as well. The menu is massive with many appetizers, a dozen different burgers, smokehouse bbq, sandwiches & pizza! We tried burgers and they were good. Our experience was early evening on the outdoor patio, flowering greenery, with an energetic upbeat knowledgeable staff. The staff was accommodating with a member of our group's food allergies and the menu was appropriate for the environment. I can recommend the green chili as excellent.
