All he kept saying was, "Just come in, bring your paystub and license, and we'll get you out of here." I already knew it wouldn't be that easy, so I didn't go in expecting much. I was pre-approved by another lender who works with this dealership, so I figured it was worth checking out. Unfortunately, I ended up dealing with the manager since Tony was with someone else. I guess he thought being the manager gave him the right to be rude. He didn't check my income or anything--just took my license, walked to his office, came back, and asked how much I had down. I told him, because it was already on my application. Then he hits me with, "I can get you approved, but you'll need $7,000-$8,000 down. Do you have that?" And he didn't even sit down--he was standing behind me, clearly focused on another customer. At that point, I was done. I just pulled out my phone and called my ride. He shrugged, said "OK," tossed my license back on the desk, and walked off to help the other customer.

I got a car from this location and immediately the A/C died the next day. I took it back since they have what was advertised as a 7 day return to exchange the vehicle. After sitting around the dealership for 4+ hours they finally agreed to let me exchange the vehicle and that I would just need to pay the difference for the new vehicle. Once it came time to fill the paperwork out, they showed me the door price that added an additional $2500 for Lojack, which they claim is already installed on the vehicle and not negotiable (they said the same for the first vehicle I purchased with the dead AC but the cost of that Lojack was only $800). Unfortunately I had no choice since I couldn't have my money refunded, so I had to go through with that sale with the $2500 markup of something thats basically a glorified Airtag. So beware of this place. They will find ways to scam with you these markups that are not negotiable while they claim its because its already installed (remember I was there for 4+ hours, most of that was probably them installing the Lojack device). Ultimately its my fault for not walking out on the first purchase when they added the markup, but if anyone wants to save time and money I'd recommend not dealing with these people. They're also incredibly rude on top of that. Avoid this place if you're buying a used car.

I came here so many times when it was under Thompson and was always pleased. I didn't know the management changed until I went to the dealership for a recall and noticed the lobby looked markedly different in a bad way, which should have been my first red flag. I went here to get my software recall fixed, oil changed and tires rotated. On the sheet estimate, the prices were wildly different from what was quoted on the official Hyundai website. The representative said prices went up but haven't been reflected on the website. I didn't have time to go elsewhere so I just decided to suck up the cost. Luckily when the actual bill came it reflected the totals I was initially expecting. It does seem like they are focused on quantity instead of quality now. I drove my car home and left it at home while I went out of town for the holiday weekend. Upon my return I noticed that the front protective plate/shield is hanging off the bottom of my car and completely dragging on the ground. When I called the new Hyundai of Dundalk to report this and request they fix it, a Sales Representative called me back instead and tried to get me to buy a new car. When I told him I had called because I had a shield/plate hanging off my car, he just said someone else should call me back and hung up. Nobody called me back so I had to call them myself this morning, which is when they told me the earliest they could see me was late next week and did not apologize for this mishap or anything. I was actually able to get an appointment at a different Hyundai for earlier than this--and this was Dundalk's own mistake. I will be better-served crawling underneath my car and zip-tying the shield myself. I also have never seen so many cars waiting for service. I think management is taking on more than they should.

High pressure sales tactics and lack of negotiating. In this case, high pressure tactics wasn't the case. Our sales person Sam Gottfried at DARCARS Toyota of Silver Spring, MD., was nothing short of amazing! The real reason my wife and I went in was solely because of him. His fun energetic personality and easy going demeanor was impressive to say the least over the phone. Yes I said over the PHONE! This is where most sales associates drop the ball. When we got the referral I called him and left him a message. Within 20 minutes or less he called back and we began to have a fun humorous banter that we fell in love with. We took the hour and some change drive if for nothing else to just meet Sam. He even sent us a video of the vehicle as we were stuck in traffic just to let us know he was serious about making sure we didn't drive up there for nothing. We get there and one of his coworkers took us right to him. He stood up immediately and knew who we were and shook our hands and gave hugs like we were family. Sam had the car ready for us to test drive. Then the negotiating started. My wife had a set price in hand. The management delivered their pricing first. We countered. Didn't take long for the management to agree to our price. Period. Since it was my wife making the purchase for herself she felt the negotiating was quick and simple enough. Sam sent the car to detail while she went to finance. Sam and I even went looking at trucks for when I'm ready to trade my vehicle in. We get back to finance and all that was left was to put the tag on the car, take a few photos and come home. If you are looking for a Toyota and want the deal that's fair for both the customer and the dealership as well as to the sales person go see Sam at DARCARS Toyota of Silver Spring. Tell him Deanna and José sent you, because I can't sing enough praises about this young man who fought to make sure we were satisfied.

Being in and out in about 2.5 hours is unheard of at a dealership--they really respect your time. Right off the bat, they gave me a great deal on my RAV4 trade-in. I was worried about being low-balled, but they were fair from the start, which settled my nerves and made me realize this car was meant for me. Outside of the interest rates (which the dealer doesn't control), the 2024 Corolla was very reasonably priced. I also appreciated that when I gave a firm "no" to a pitch for a newer model with a different rate, they respected my decision and didn't mention it again. If you want a smooth, transparent process without the all-day headache, I highly recommend this location!
