Lasagna way too much ricotta
Candy C.

So I recently tried out a new restaurant and ordered their lasagna and shrimp scampi with a side of broccoli. Gotta be honest, it was pretty average. Nothing super special to rave about. I wasn't exactly wowed. The lasagna had way too much ricotta cheese for my liking. Overall, it was just okay.

This was the worse chicken piccata I ever had No taste of lemon and mushrooms, when dismiss Piccata come with mushrooms, 3 cups of it at that Fried Ravioli was overcooked The star of the show was the marinara sauce and garlic bread Horrible!!!

Spaghetti Marinara.

Ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce special. BOGO. There was no meat sauce. Ruined Sunday dinner. Uber Eats refunded $5. Wow.

We decided to try Bambinelli's based on the reviews. We were a little disappointed so this review will explain the good and the not so good... Good: -Our server Destiny, she is so friendly. -Appetizers were Calamari and Gnocchi which we enjoyed. The bread knots are complimentary and delicious, especially when they get to your table nice and hot. -The Bambi pizza with cauliflower crust, the taste was good. -Lasagna was very good. -House salad was good. Not so good: -Greek salad - we don't know because they ran out of salad dressing for the Greek salad but brought the salads out and asked which salad dressing we would like since they were out of the Greek dressing. The spouse wanted a Greek salad so he asked the server to take it back. -The Bambi pizza with cauliflower crust was crispy but the texture was more like a frozen pizza crust. If you enjoy frozen pizza crust then it will not be an issue for you. -Chicken Piccata was served with fettuccine instead of spaghetti noodles and the sauce was very greasy. -Spaghetti with meat sauce. The sauce was watery, not the robust sauce someone told us come with the dishes. We saw higher rated reviews for the other locations, so the issues we had may have been isolated to this location.

First time, Last time. Should of looked at yelp first. Had the Pasta Carbonara, it had so much uncooked garlic chunks in it it wasn't edible. You literally felt like you were crunching celery. The calamari was soggy n undercooked. I can't stand that ppl think they can put such garbage food out n thinks it's ok for ppl to spend 80$ on trash. Whoever the cook is must be super lazy not to brown n cook the garlic. Don't waste your money on this place. Go Pizza Hut n get Cavatini for 10$ This owner then sends a lazy response that he will go over the issue! What a joke.. Then I get a email through DoorDash from them saying they will do better next time! Next time? They actually think I would give this place another chance on how they handled the issue. This place doesn't deserve a second chance and I will make sure everyone knows what a terrible place n what crappy food they serve. This was so simple to make it right n they screwed that up too. I tell everyone to stay away from this garbage place

We show up and I think we are in the wrong place. Valet directs us to the elevator and down we go. When we get out, it's like we went back 30 years to a restaurant in an Italian section of New York. It's amazing. Place looked like we time warped in all the best ways. It looked like it was straight outta a Sopranos episode. Staff is dressed to the nines. Customers too. Loved it. And the food, forgetta bout it. We went with our kiddos and had half the menu. All of us trying each others food. All of it amazing. With that, we made a point to act like it was 80-90s era and didn't use our phones, so no pics. But if you want another way to know how amazing the food is, try and get a reservation last minute on a weekend. Better luck winning the lottery. That said, make the reservation pronto and enjoy.

For an appetizer, we got the mussels which were probably some of the best mussels I have ever had using the bread to soak up the sauce was divine. Truly delicious. For the pasta, I got the the tortelli de vitello which was so good. Some of us at the table also tried the shrimp linguine which was delicious and so fresh as well as the chicken parm which was MASSIVE and came with a great side of pasta. We also tried the little pasta shells/ears with sausage and broccolini and it was delish. Truly these dishes were stunning and cannot wait to have it again! To wrap up the dinner, we got some coffees and the tiramisu... Which was delicious and as stunning as everyone says. Overall, this meal was divine. The vibes of the restaurant really bring it up because it is so calm and classic and just such a great place for a lovely meal. 10/10

Needless to say, we enjoyed our experience here for dinner. Husband and I came to celebrate my birthday - he was a bit upset they didn't offer anything for my birthday even though he notated it on the reservation, but I didn't really care for it as I don't like having the attention on me. This place is hard to miss as it's right on Roswell Rd. There is complimentary valet parking available, but there's also free parking at a deck just a few steps away from the restaurant entrance. We were greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in and the restaurant was already very busy for a Saturday 6 pm dinner. Our server was fine, and the food was decent. I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

It was 32 degrees outside, but completely comfortably warm, inside. You truly wouldn't know you weren't inside. Any way, I've eaten my way through Inman Park but somehow hadn't yet indulged in the delectable Sotto Sotto. This might just be my new favorite Italian in Atlanta. It was absolutely delicious. Across the table (thanks to the half portion option), we tried at least 8 items on the menu! Each one was more special then the next. Our incredible server Kagen (sp?) walked us through each section of the menu absolutely perfectly. As a result we ended up ordering some of his favs from across the menu. In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. In a market of many, great Italian options, Sotto Sotto might just be the BEST and my new fav!!! I absolutely can't wait to return.

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!

After expressing that I was open to any variety of dishes, in hopes of venturing out from my "usual" of chicken parmigiana, Linda made several very thoughtful recommendations. I enjoyed the light flavors of the Agnolotti pasta, and the richness of the Marsala chicken. I am personally not a huge fan of mushroom taste, but the dish was not mushroom forward at all and the Marsala sauce was perfect. I also tried the cannellini beans after both Linda and her counterparts insisted that it's the most underrated dish on the menu and there were absolutely correct! I could have eaten the beans as my main dish and been perfectly happy. I finished it all off with the tiramisu, which was the perfect balance of sweetness and a very authentic taste about it! Anyone who knows me personally knows that I don't eat leftovers, but I reheated my leftovers on the stove and it was just as great as the night before - making the dishes well worth their value! The restaurant has a very quiet and respectable ambiance. The bar is inviting, while the seating area offers both group or family style dinner tables or more intimate tables tucked away. I can't thank Linda enough for the hospitality and recommendations. I'll be back, sooner rather than later, to keep exploring the menu!
