Hubs had the Diana. It was an incredible dish of broccoli and creamy shrimp.

We meet again, Bambinos on Battlefield. We had a ten-ish minute wait that evaporated quickly. Our bread was sliced thinly with olive and vinegar drizzled over garlic. To die for. Hubs had culinary goodness in the Diana. The creamy Alfredo, noodles, shrimp, and tender broccoli made it a meal for gods. I had the Zia as I did several years previously. It held the creamy Alfredo, chicken, and mushrooms there ever was. I am the tea drinker that should be given a small pitcher of unsweetened tea and a straw for any occasion. Our server was amazing-smiling, refilling our teas. She was 100% grace. I can say with absolute certainty that Bambinos remains one of our favorite Springfield "hometown" favs. Until next time, Bambinos!

Just moved here, feels like 5 minutes ago but it's been a year now. Super excited to try this place. I always saw the parking lot busy when I would get gas and always wondered what is going on. Tried the Pizza and their sirloin. Chefs Kiss. Food was great, service was great. The waitress we had was so nice. I can see why it's always packed.

My dad was craving spaghetti and meatballs so we stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. There were 5 of us so we had to wait around 20 minutes. The main dining room is one big room so it was a little loud in there. Waitress got our drink and appetizer orders quickly after we sat down. Food came out pretty quickly. Everyone loved what they ordered. Definitely freshly made.

Met up for dinner here on Saturday just after 6pm. Our party of 2 was about a 30 minute wait on a warm July early evening. There are 4 tables out on the patio but only 2 had umbrellas. We were seated at a very cozy 2 top tucked into a corner. I liked it. We both tried pizza. It's thin crust and they are incredibly generous with the cheese. If you really, really love cheese then you'll be thrilled. I am an olive person and at Bambino's the olive option on your pizza is Kalamata and they do not slice it up. You get the whole big beautiful olive on your pizza. We like this place. Definitely recommend Bambino's.

This italian eatery is modernly traditional. The environment is warm and inviting; even the bathroom faucets are eclectic and stylish. The mini loaf of bread was fresh, soft and sweet. The olive oil and red vinegar were fresh. The zitti was absolutely delicious and infused with ground, fresh sausage, and red wine tomato sauce. Tons of golden brown cheese covered it. Yum! The house salad was fresh and the caesar salad dressing was delightful too! By the way, there were so many good pasta selections on the menu that I needed extra time to down-select a lunch meal. The lunch menu is very affordable, as well. Major brownie points!!!

My father and I went to Bambinos Cafe last night and had an excellent dinner. The hostess was friendly and was able to get us a table quickly. Our food was excellent and served very hot. We will be back again!

My advice: don't order the Alfredo. Waaayyy too much garlic. So much so that it leaves a bitter aftertaste. Ugh.

The others had eggplant parmesan and said it was the best they had ever eaten. One ate Italian nachos and did not care for it, but she's often times disappointed with what she orders in restaurants. The bread sticks were right out of the oven and excellent. The salads were fresh and very good. The dressing was outstanding and one person in our group bought a big bottle of it to take home. The birthday ladies were gifted a dessert. We all tasted the amazing lemon cake and Tiramisu and both were delicious beyond words. Parking is right out front with easy access. Reservations are recommended. We ate early at 4pm when they opened on a weekday. Highly-recommend it, if you're one that dines early. They offer a separate room for big groups. I'll rate Piccolo's as the best dining experience in the Ozarks!

The meatballs: These are an excellent meatball and an excellent sauce. These aren't some rolled meat with salt and pepper. These meatballs have an excellent herb accented flavor and taste wonderful. Alfredo Carbonara: Again, a fantastic dish. Very rich flavor with a good dose of prosciutto accent. Tomato Bisque: This isn't some Sysco product they're putting out - this stuff is a real deal, made from scratch bisque. A very balanced flavor with a good depth of texture....not some watery kind of soup. Cannolis: desert will (not) disappoint. The cannoli cream is a nice flavor...with a slight orange zest touch. I've always loved this place. The food may not always come out super fast. But so what, so long as the food comes out right....and I'll sure say....the food comes out great!

Service was attentive, we started with a bottle of wine & bruschetta, the wine was good, the bruschetta was soggy and falling apart when picked up. As we were waiting for our entrees we noticed the delays from the kitchen, server bringing pasta to a couple on their anniversary for him and saying the pizza was just on its way out of the oven, it never arrived, the gentleman finished his pasta and still no pizza, she cancelled the order and they left. The table behind us also had no meals, the server said the chef forgot to make them, they finished their drinks and left. The table next to us, 1 of 3 meals served and finished and then 2 lasagnes arrived, both of which were still cold in the middle. They were all annoyed and just took them to go. Finally our meals arrived, I believe we were waiting on the bolognese as it seemed hot and fresh, mine however was not the hottest and has a film on it as it had been sitting a while. I believe the bolognese was not worth almost $40 but the other one was well priced and delicious. Ended with a tiramisu which was dry which was disappointing. So a disordered evening with angry diners did not make for a fun night out.

Thankfully, it's not that. Not even close. The interior leans cute and slightly rustic, with a New-York-Italian soundtrack of Sinatra and Dean Martin covers setting the tone. The buffet itself is smaller than you might imagine, but it gets the job done: grab your drink, grab a plate, and dive in. You'll find the usual starters lined up -- soup, salad, breadsticks, fried ravioli, chips with spinach-artichoke dip -- then move on to the fun part: à-la-carte pastas and sauces. They've got everything from classic white sauce and marinara to vodka sauce and meatballs. There's even fried chicken pieces so you can build your own take on chicken parm. Vegan and veggie-friendly options are surprisingly solid: roasted Brussels sprouts, glazed carrots, and a legitimately tasty butternut squash casserole. The sausage risotto was another pleasant standout. Desserts aren't homemade (and they aren't pretending to be -- they're still in the cardboard trays), but they do offer hand-scooped ice cream from the staff, which is a nice touch. Service-wise, the greeter was great. The rest? Fine. Our server didn't look thrilled to be there, but honestly...it's a weekday lunch buffet. Expectations adjusted accordingly. Overall, The Hill delivers a charming vibe, some solid buffet options, and a few dishes that are genuinely worth going back for. If you're craving casual, customizable Italian comfort food, it's worth a stop.

Unknowingly, I started "scrolling" to find a place to eat and was sucked in by pics of the food and ambiance! So I mapped directions to Cafe Cusco only to find it was next to another great restaurant I had been to during my last trip. Walked in and the hostess, with a welcoming greeting and smile directed my single person party to a four top. Turns out she ended up also being my server and bartender!!! Lilly was her name and she was on top of it all. I believe there was at least one other server. I shied away from apps as I was not sure about the serving sizes as I was not famished... I started with a Pisco Sour that Lilly recommended and she also recommended the Lomo Saltado for an entree. I chose to also have the Ginger Caipirinha. For dessert I had the Quinoa Pudding and a cup of coffee. Beverages were well balanced with lime tartness, great cinnamon presence and over all flavor was refreshing! The Lomo Saltado was very flavorful- def get your salt intake for the day, but it works so well! There was a house hot sauce at each table. I taste tested the hot sauce and decided to liberally add to the dish! A symphony of flavors! The slices of tomato in that Saltado sauce was ... mmmmmmmmm GOOD!! Naturally the tenderloin was packed with Saltado flavor too! I ordered up the Ginger Caipirinha (which did not disappoint either!). Both beverages stand on their own merits and I cannot choose which was better... maybe the sour?? So... then there was dessert... I cannot recall the last time I ordered dessert... quinoa pudding???? I mean... I like quinoa... but do I ever go out of my way to eat it?? No... but add some sweet coconut cream, cinnamon and... wait for it... Black cherry COMPOTE?!?????!!!! Damn! Am I glad I got that dessert! You MUST save room for this! Such a great amalgamation of flavor and textures! Cheers Cafe Cusco!! You've got a great gem here for great prices to boot! Lilly was very busy, what may have lacked in some attentiveness (due to how busy it was) she made up for in her awesome personality, pleasant disposition and great suggestions! Chillin' in haute Springfield?? Check this place out! Cheers!
