Ok, I grew up in Chicago and we've been searching for a good pizza for a while now. I highly recommend Bellacino's pizza. A very good crust with an amazing sauce all the way out to the edge. Probably one of our favorite places for a dinner out in town. We love their chef salad, wings come on a bed of fresh fries, grinders are good portions. The customer service is usually pretty good and fast. They do get pretty busy, sometimes the bar is the only option on a weekend. Lots of booths, high tops and a nice size room for groups. Went there for lunch today, November 14. "Seat yourself" the sign said. I looked around....all empty booths were dirty. My dining partner and I stood by one and waited. There was no staff anywhere. Finally a young woman comes from the back, walks right by me, drops some food off, ignores me, and returns to the back leaving me standing there. We came in for lunch around 12:30. It wasn't too busy but there were only two waitresses working. It took our waitress a long time to get menus or water. I did notice that she would stop at another table for longer and talk to the people there. It took us quite a while to get our food. Our waitress never came back to our table to see if our food was OK. Actually a different waitress brought our food to us. Our waitress eventually came over when she saw that we were finished so she could give us the check. And then it took over 15 minutes for her to come back to our table to get my card so I could pay. There were only four other tables being used at this time. She walked by our table 2 or three times after she had brought us the check. I even had my card sitting on the check for her to grab when she went by, but she never did. She stood by the other table to chat with those diners for a lengthy period of time before going to help the other waitress. The tables in our area were dirty when we came in. Another family came in right before we left and they sat down at a table that wasn't clean but instead of the waitress, getting a towel to wipe it up, she just set all the menus down on the table right in the water that was from the previous diners. I finally had to put my debit card up in her face when she walked by to tell her that we were ready to pay, and that finally got her attention. I always give waitresses the benefit of the doubt because I know it's hard, but there was nothing out of her control that was keeping her from doing her job. It wasn't busy, the food came out at a very reasonable time, and the other waitress was doing a lot of the other work. I don't know if we will be back. read more

What a really fine place! I have a few dietary issues and our server was very understanding and happy to accommodate. She suggested things that I was able to eat and enjoy. While they were preparing my food, the owner came up and asked if he could make some additions to what I was getting to compensate for the fact that I had to delete other items. This is extremely professional and very much appreciated. These are the kind of people that we want to keep around. I have absolutely loved this place for a long time and now I learn today that they have taken away the sweet Thai chili sauce. The Hawaiian pizza was a true Hawaiian pizza with that spicy Thai sauce. We just got a to go order from here. It was crazy busy. So I grabbed my order and left for home. On the way home, the owner calls me to let me know we were short a grilled chicken salad. My thought was he would ask me to come back and get it. But instead, they brought me my salad within 10 minutes. Even threw in a desert for free. AMAZING SERVICE! Went on Sunday night, there were some customers but not packed, revisited again on a Friday night and we had a hard time finding a place to park! We wait about 5 mins just to be seated. They have 3 sizes of sandwiches; quarter 4.5", half9" and whole 18". The bread was so great when toasted!! My favorite sandwich is the Bomber with A1 sauce! Imagine my surprise when I found only two 3/4" pieces of Italian sausage on a full-length 18" sandwich. Black olives were added, but not listed as part of the sandwich. The 1/16 inch thick mushrooms and green pepper pieces were dismal. The chopped greenery looked like it was left over of someone else's salad. Not much to it, pizza was American. The sauce is plain, crust was a little gummy and seemed a little like cornstarch. Topping were chopped small, cheese was okay. I'm a die hard pizza guy so take my review with a grain of salt. I've learned the food presentations and quality in most of the midwest is fair at best. Tried this new pizza joint during their grand opening. We had the Hawaiian and the Meat Eater pizzas. The Hawaiian was pretty good, had a tiny bit of kick to it from the Thai sweet sauce. The Meat Pizza was pretty basic run of the mill comparable to other pizza chains. We also had an appetizer, garlic cheese bread. Nothing to write home about, but it kept the kids from eating each other like they did in the movie Alive to keep themselves alive. On the receipt I did notice that the sales tax was higher than normal. It turns out this shopping center charges its customers an extra percent to cover the landlord improvements which seems incredibly shady if you ask me. read more

Super friendly and attentive service. Also super clean inside and restrooms! Sunny was our waitress and she was very sweet and did a great job with our family of five. She made several menu suggestions and since it was our first time eating at Bellacino's gave us some restaurant favs and foods they were famous for. Psst their bread!! It's been awhile since we have gone out to eat but it is also rare to do find such a great waitress that knows her menu and will converse well with costumers. New favorite pizza place! We split an 8" pizza and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Pizza is yummy, sauce is a little sweet but crust is the perfect crispness. Alfredo was not as warm as I'd prefer it to be but definitely delicious. Waitress was nice and prompt. Garlic bread is the best I've had and open bar was great! Only complaint is we were seated in the very far back, secluded, corner when the restaurant was next to empty. Brownie sundae for dessert was absolutely perfect. read more
