Food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, not salty at all. Nice to find a place that there pizza doesn't taste like you just licked a salt block. Ate here in the evening after Missouri Comicon. This is my first time in Springfield so I appreciate some of their St. Louis adjacent menu items. The atmosphere is spot on as bar/pizzeria, with us getting a booth right by the window. While our server was really friendly, I wouldn't say the service was stellar. We had our food come out at wildly different times. One salad first, then 5 mins later the other salad. One person's pizza, then 10 mins later one person's wings that was going to be their entree, and then finally the appetizers. It really detracted from the meal. It also wasn't busy enough for us to ask for the cookies we ordered at the start of our meal no less than 3 times, and while we were assured they were ready and warm waiting for us, they didn't arrive until we asked the last time, AFTER we already took care of the check. We never got refills until we asked, but the server did offer to make them to go, which I declined because I honestly just wanted more before the end of our meal. The food itself was just ok. The TRavs were pretty tasty but the eggplant appetizer for $10 is actually offensive with 4 slices, undercooked. What actually saved the meal was the salad. I had to pick out the provel (because I asked for no cheese) but it was fresh, flavorful, and pretty large for a small salad. read more

I do not understand any establishment that would not do research on when shows would be performing, and they are right next door. We generally love this place and have had good service. BUT.... We went into PaPPo's last night(6/17/25) with an hour and half before the show. The staff which included one server, one bartender, and get this... one cook. The bartender took forever to even acknowledge us and when we flagged her down, seemed apologetic and got our drink order and took our food order(you know because the show) Then she forgot to poor my beer and I had to ask for it again. WTH!! I don't blame the staff, I blame management.. Covid is over!! Fill your staff.. anyway I digress. Then after 40 mins, I asked when we'd get our food and she speaks to the one cook and he hadn't even started the order... ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME!!! We had to cancel the order, you know cause he had not even started it!! I paid for the beer and left to go to the show. Again, not the cooks fault!! Hey Management!! If I could leave a 0 star review I would. It's 1:20pm and there's 5 people in here including me. Everyone else has already ordered and has their food. They're eating. My girlfriend and I sit down and get our drinks, AND order cause we know what we'd like already. We wait until 2:00pm for our food. 40 MINUTES?!? When we are the only people in here?!? Pizza was pretty good. Got the traditional crust and it was good. I think as the pizza ovens age they will get better and better.

It took an hour to get a seat then it took another 20 minutes to get our order taken. After we got our order in it took another hour and a half to get a 14" thin crust pizza and 3 hand tossed 8" pizzas. Then they forgot one of the 8" pizzas and it took another 30 minutes to get that. The food was ok at best but the service was amazing. That's the only reason that I gave it a star. read more

Saw this on a local tv promotional show and decided to try it, especially the brown butter cookies. I'm waiting for the cookies to bake, they are baked fresh in house and require 15 minutes. The lunch special was the perfect amount of food, salad was overdressed, I'd recommend getting the dressing on the side.
